I am a certified Braised Pork Belly Rice addict! Tsk forgot to take a photo! It was gone in 5mins! #icaneatthiseveryday 128055127860127834🇯🇵128523128523128523 their peach juice reminds me of my childhood! I love it more than their cranberry, its quite cheap at 40pesos. For first timers i would recommend--the Braised Pork Belly Rice,Beef Wanton Noodle, Peach Juice and Banana Gyoza!

Their hainanese chicken was okay. It didnt have that strong taste that i usually get when i eat hainanese chicken. Plus it wasserved a bit cold. Even the rice. Not warm... A bit cold.

I enjoyed their sauce tho. The chili was good!:)and their dimsum.. yuuum! The pork and shrimp siomai was legit!! :)) its really stuffed and tasty!! Their japanese siomai is also a must try! :)

After a 40minute bike ride, dimsum was just heaven. (Most anything would have been!)

Not bad for the price. They serve a small but well-thought of selection of dimsum (too bad they ran out of hakaw and kutchay). Was expecting the quail egg siomai to have been the star, but the japanese siomai was pretty intense, what with generous amounts of those red-orange fish eggs.

Service was a bit slow that afternoon. Maybe they were tired from the lunch crowd.

Overall, 3 stars. I might be biased but if i were to ride my bike to the area, might as well go to Dusadee Thai, just a few steps shy. Paolo M

I was craving for Hainanese Chicken after seeing Happi Hen after mass. Happi Hen doesn't have dine-ins and we saw the cute logo of Happy Monk so we decided to give it a try. Luckily, they serve Hainanese Chicken too!

The chicken is good. I was not expecting it to be that huge for its price. The beef noodles and the Japanese Siomai is also nice.

I love their interiors. It's very simple and modern. I love how they incorporated the dumpling steamer on the walls and the table numbers.

My husband and I are on a roll! Third time so far since our Yabu experience that we made a good choice for a place to eat (and have our weekly date).

It was a toss up between a resto that served Filipino cuisine and The Happy Monk, and we were glad to have chosen the latter.

The place was cozy but very clean and modern. It took us quite some time to choose what we wanted because everything seemed to be good. We finally settled for Wintermelon tea for drinks, soy duck wrap and Japanese siomai dimsum for starters, and beef brisket noodles and Hainanese chicken rice for our main.

Everything we ordered had a very clean and fresh taste - there was no trace of the typical aftertaste or 'lansa' common in most Chinese food. I'm not a fan of steamed chicken but I loved The Happy Monk's version. We recommend the Japanese siomai and the duck wrap too!

And the best part was, all the great food we had didn't cost us an arm and a leg. We only paid 700++ including drinks! The portion sizes were pretty good considering that the menu items were reasonably priced.

Will definitely come back again soon!

Must try! Place is very simple. Price, relatively okay and service, fast. They also have 40% off on all dimsum promo from 3-5pm (dine in only)We had quail egg dumplings (90 pesos - 3pcs.), wanton beef noodles (185 pesos - good for 2), and Hainanese Chicken with Rice (180 pesos). A total bill of 455 pesos!

Hainanese or Steamed Chicken Rice is their fast moving product. Very tender chicken meat paired with ginger, soy and chili. Panalo ang ginger dip nila! Dimsums are also a must try :) special mention sa japanese siomai and pork & shrimp siomai. Super siksik ang meat at malasa! this resto is newly opened in BF and many have been satisfied already since their opening.

Dim sum heaven. A little late snack with my sister.

40% off all dim sum! Up to 5pm! So good! Really worth it.

We had siomai (Best siomai I've had in a long time) and duck wrap (of course we love duck, it was just not enough duck).

Pretty cheap prices. The dim sum were at the 80-90 peso range. The duck wrap was at 180 for 5 pieces.

The waiter was nice and worked fast. Real good service.

Love the interior. The bamboo steamer wall, haha genius.

It had so much more to offer. Can't wait to come back. That beef brisket noodles poster kept staring at me and I might just give in next time. Just another Aguirre hotspot that takes my money and leaves me for fat.

Happy Monk House of Steam is one of those restaurants that I just pass by everyday. The location along Aguirre Avenue is easy to miss even if it is in between Little Quiapo and Rapide.

The interior is mostly brown and yellow, spacious even if it is small. It was a mix of wood and steel. Servers were well-trained, guiding you to bestsellers and giving accurate descriptions of the dishes.

Entrees (less than P200) may be good for two not so hungry people and dim sum orders (less than P100) are packed with meat. During our visit, we ordered noodle soups, Hainanese Chicken, Pork and Shrimp Siomai, and Kutchay Dumplings. My friends immediately thought that my family would love it there. All in all our dinner for three amounted to P720 and 3 happy stomachs!
