I remembered having tried Harry's back in 2015. I said to myself that the pies were not to my taste. But I decided that things may have changed in three years, so I returned with an open mind and gut. Here is what I had this time around:
--

Mini Classic Beef Pie (PHP35)

Due to the size of the rest of the meal, I am glad I opted for the the mini beef pie. The crisp, golden crust gives way to the tender beef slices in Harry's brown sauce. The whole thing has a rich, dark taste with a hint of beer or alcohol with it. Not bad this time.

--

Hotdog de Wheels (PHP290)
Frankfurt hotdog, mushy peas, mashed potatoes, chili con carne, sriracha, cheese sauce, and caramelized onions

This is a HUGE hotdog, huge enough that I had to use a fork and knife to go through it. Even then, I could barely make a dent in it. The hotdog itself was not too flavorful; the chili con carne and the mushy peas saved the day with their spicy and earthy taste, respectively.

--

Poutine (PHP125)
French fries with white cheese, cheese sauce, and Harry's gravy

The salty cheese and creamy cheese sauce contrasted with the meaty gravy. This is best enjoyed immediately before the fries get too soggy.

--

Arvo Iced Tea (16 oz. PHP55 ; 22 oz. PHP65)

Unlike other iced teas, this one has a more obvious tea flavor to it. That is why it was more surprising to me, who is so used to sweeter iced teas but got something a little more bitter and astringent. That is not to say it is bad, but it is uniquely good. I would give this a try again in a future visit.

My friend ordered Tiger Chili (Php270) for us to share and I can't describe the taste haha I suggest to mixed the mashed peas, meat and chili sauce all together. The peas on it's own wasn't as appetizing for me.

I tend to be biased towards anything Aussie so there may be a tinge of subjectivity to this review haha. I really, really enjoyed the classic Aussie favorites like the meat pie with chilli and the sausage roll pastie. The meat pie is as good as any other Aussie meat pie you can find locally, topped with a heaping dollop of their signature chilli. Now that's a mini whopper I reckon! The poutine was good too (not an Aussie dish though).

But i must say that the rest were just so-so at best. The hotdog de wheels could have been better if the bun wasn't so cakey. The bread crumbled when i held it, bit into it, or even breathed on it. The soup in a bread bowl was REALLY small for the price. A disappointingly small serving. And lastly the chicken and waffles again would have been better if the chicken wasn't overcooked. It looks a bit burnt in my picture don't you think?

Come here for the pies, fries, and pasties!

From Sydney Australia to Manila. Beautiful Sunday with fam last April 2. Home of Sydney's iconic meat pie, and hotdogs , also offers all day breakfast , poutine, country style chicken , desserts, and a lot of heartwarming meals from Harry's Cafe de Wheels Ph located at UP Town Mall BGC.

We had their crispy onion rings for appetizer , it's so big and crunchy and I loved it coz I'm a fan of onion rings, then we had their Arvo iced tea, it's not just ordinary iced tea, freshly brewed tea leaves with a twist of lemon , refreshing and lastly we all got their all day breakfast meal, Hot Roast Beef for only 195 pesos. Short plate steak with two eggs, mini pies, and pepper rice. Harry's is known for delicious pies. We tried four flavors of their mini pie.

Self served by the way and nice ambience . Bill is around 1t plus, it's okay I love Aussie food 128076

I am not a meat pie expert and I've only tried it once, sadly the first time was not as satisfying hence i lost interest.

I've heard of Harry's. Saw a couple of ads online, they posted a photo with Chris Hemsworth. I ain't no Marvel fan but the dude with the hammer is mighty fine.

Got the Original Classic Beef Pie (Php 120). One thing i noticed when this was served is that it smells so good. As for the taste....it falls under the "Just Okay" category. The sauce is seasoned well and the meat is tender but there is nothing extraordinary about it.

Oh, the chicken and waffles is good and really affordable.

Peace Out!

Probably the best hotdog I have ever had.

I mean, the hotdog itself was really thin, but packed with flavor. But with the toppings, it became amazeballs! 128525

Ordered their Hotdog De Wheels. 🖒

Do not forget that sriracha!

If this is thestandard for australian food, don't eat ozzy food. Soup was meh and so was the bread it was served in. Service was slow considering how few their customers were.

I would change this from 2to 1 if I could. There are 3 of ys. We all hated the underwhelmingly bland food.

Been missing Australia, this is the closest we can get for now. Aussie lunch with hubby #hotroast #goldcoastdog #onionrings. The freshly baked bun was great, it was soft and tasty. The onion rings wasn't really good, you can taste the oil. The hot roast and the goldcoast dog was yum 9786

Ordered:
Hotdog De Wheels - there's so much going on with this. I didn't like some of the stuff that's in it like the beans. But the bread is okay and the hotdog.
Very Strawberry Milkshake - sweet and creamy
Chicken Pie - I don't if its worth paying almost P100 for this.

Back at Harry's!

I'm super "busog" with my food trip at Uptown Bonifacio but I managed to drop by at Harry's to try the Original Classic Beef Pie and tag as Sydney's Best Pie.

For Php120.00 I ordered the Original Classic Beef Pie consists of traditional chunky lean beef filling with fresh button mushroom in Harry's Signature brown sauce.

I'm not a fan of hotdog buns but I've tried almost all that I could try...because we looloo fanatics just need to try them all 128514

So far this is the best franks that I've tried 128522 I loved it so much because of the brioche bun and the hotdog was not soggy but really crunchy on the outside (if you know what i mean).

My sister and i shared their best seller - Hotdog de wheels for P290 > Viennese smoked sheep-cased frankfurt w/ Chilicon & Sriracha, Mushy peas, Caramelized onions & Bell pepper. I died! 128522 it was so good. 5 stars⛤⛤⛤⛤⛤

Goldcoast Dog for P190 > Viennese smoked sheep-cased frankfurt w/ Monterey Jack cheese, cheese sauce and tomato sauce. This one was also good but I'll give this one a 3.5 stars ⛤⛤⛤

Chippy Chips was just an ordinary potato wedge but i did love the sweet chili and mayo sauce 9786

A must try!

Me and my officemates tried this place out earlier. Good thing we went out early for lunch because by the time we ordered and got seated, there were no more tables available since the place is really small. It can only take up around 30 people max I think.

We got the Beef Pie, Chick N' Barbie, Minestrone and Darling A La Mode for dessert. We also availed of their free upsize for the Arvo iced tea. (Yay!)

I loved the Beef Pie. Although my officemate said it was too pepper-y for her. But for me it was just right. The Chick N' Barbie is just fries topped with chicken bits and bbq sauce. the chicken was good though the serving is a little too small for P150. The Minestrone was disappointing. Sayang. We actually wanted to order the pasta bowls but it was out of stock. (Agad agad. On their first week.)

The winner for me was the iced tea! I loved it. It had that bitterness that I like. I also loved the brownie that came with the Darling A La Mode. It was really sweet so I think the serving was just right for 3 people.

Overall, it was OK. I would probably order the beef pie and iced tea again since those were the ones that I really loved. Oh and I wanna try their milkshakes!

Service was good. Since the place is small, there was only one guy assisting all of the tables and the rest were in the kitchen.

PS: Came back again for dinner here and ordered the Sausage Roll and Iced Tea(Again! So you can tell I really loved it.). The sausage roll is actually just ground pork wrapped in pastry. It tasted good. A little dry but it was OK.

Sydney's Best Pie and Sydney's Best Hotdog Since 1945 "HARRY's" opens its door at the Uptown Mall. Actually this is their second branch. The first one opened last September 2015 at Solenad 3 Nuvali Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Harry's Uptown Mall is not that big, it is good enough to accommodate customers who wants to dine and try their pies and hotdogs.

I got Classic Hotdogs for Php140.00 and the opening promo of Special Brewed Iced Tea for Php40.00.

Once my order came, the manager "Star" greeted and have a little chat with me. She said that they also have another promo if I buy GCs today they will give me 20% off. She also asked me what is the taste/verdict of their hotdog, I said it's very flavorful compare to the other one (the newly opened hotdog place in Shangri-la The Fort). It taste like Hungarian Sausage.
