Used to buy shawarma here once in awhile but today was different. First off, we ordered 2 chicken shawarma to go and what he received was beef and the beef disappointing because it was just ground beef na Matigas at malitid. May sumama pang what seemed like thread in my beef. All in all, it's a waste of money. Konti yung laman saka matigas.

In my opinion, what sets Hassan Kabab & Steaks apart from other Kabab places is the variety of their sauces.

It's interesting because they are the only one (at least to my knowledge) that offers the staple garlic sauce in different flavours such as Wasabi, Pepper, and Pesto to name a few. Apart from that, their food is also perfect for those post-drinking/party cravings. It's so convenient most especially when you're just within the area because they are open 24 hours.

Whenever I go here, I always go for the Beef or Lamb Kabab with Pita Bread and actually, their Kabab is one of the better-tasting ones within the same price point. They also offer steaks and other Middle Eastern/Mediterranean favorites such as Shawarma, Keema, Hummus, Gyros, etc.

Overall, Hassan is a great place to satisfy those late night cravings. Their food is tasty, unpretentious, and affordable. You can't really beat that.

Cheers
Mickey

I was craving for Shawarma recently and asked hubby to buy one for me on his way home but Mister Kabab in Cubao closes early on Sunday nights (boo) so he decided to buy one from Hassan instead.

He got me a Shawarma plate with a separate pita bread so medyo messy kainin. The pita was a bit broken on the edge and is no longer warm pero pwede na. I ripped it apart and used the pita to pick up the meat. Love that they put a lot of extra garlic sauce in it like I requested.

My only problem now is I feel like I still have onion breath even after I brushed my teeth. 128513 Oh well.

had their combination of beef and tenderloin kebab along with a plate of pita w Marsala sauce. as expected we smelled Arabian after our meal as the curry sauce smell got stuck to our clothes. my first time to visit and try their food and it's was alright by me. my aunt and uncle did have a slight comment on the toughness of the meat this evening. they have frequented Hassan more than once before and have said their meat wasn't a a good this evening .

After attending a dance competition event #Protocol for BPO peeps, we've decided to grab a bottle or two maybe even three to four 128517 at the nearest joint serving alcohol along Katipunan and ended up in Hassan.. I'm giving 3 start just for the food, don't wanna say too much about the location, ambiance or whatever because we stayed at the smoking area and it is what it is.

What we ordered:
➡️ Shawarma Pie: 3/5
❌ its a pizza that allegedly was made from whatever type of meat you get from a shawarma's insides but really just tasted like the 69php pizzas you get from anywhere near your local market place.
✔️ On a good note, you get to try a lot of sauces to top it with, like cheesy garlic, chili something, herbed whatchamacallit and other for-shawarma sauces
💲💲💲 Costs 150-ish

➡️ Beef Dynamit: 3/5 (Most commonly known to us as "Dynamite")
❌ Not spicy, I felt like we we're eating pechay rather than sili and a bit burnt.
✔️ Again, the sauce.
💲💲💲 Also 150-ish

➡️ Bucket of SML Apple: 5/5
❌ Intentionally left blank
✔️ Its beer.
💲💲💲 200-ish and you could mix your orders, a bucket includes 6 bottles.. Definitely a good deal

Go try it out for yourself, their food might be great..

Craving for kebab and need something to fill us up, since this was the nearest one we opted to try it out, we had the beef kebab stick, it was okay a bit tough to chew, but what i loved was their ox brain. It fried and seasoned well. :)

Hands down THE best persian food place in the metro!

My fave from the menu are the beef kebabs with buttered rice and grilled tomatoes, oc brain with pita bread, their sub-zero beer (of course), and the the shawarma pie!

They have a wide range of sauces you can add to your food, like garlic cheese, hot and spicy, the usual garlic sauce, pesto sauce and plenty more! I usually mix my own which is really fun to do :)

(My formula for success: 2 squirts cheesy garlic, 2 squirts hot, 1 squirt pesto hehe)

They also have really friendly staff, clean restroom and though they moved to the other side of the road, the place still looks great!
I definitely recommend this place if you want to grab a beer or two with friends and chat all night long :)

First time trying this place and thought that its isnt a bad alternative to Mr. Kebab and/or Uncle Moe's.

Ordered Kebabs and Ox brain. The kebabs are smaller than that of Mr. Kebabs but isnt really that different taste-wise. Their Ox Brain, though, is a revelation. They serve it fried topped with pepper-y seasoning. It was goooooooood. 128077 Frying the ox brain added texture to what is normally soft and creamy. They need to hold back on the seasoning lang because it has a huge tendency of making the brain a tad too salty.

This place is a good find. Definitely became one of my go-to kebab places.

Nice alternative to Mr Kabab. Everything Mr Kabab has, they got it. And they're open til the wee hours of the morning (just not sure if it's 24/7).

According to friends, some dishes are better here (special chelo counterpart for instance). I had the keema, though I think Mr Kabab's still better.

If you can't Mr. Kabab, then you can go to Hassan's :D

Pros:
- Decent price: 100-150 buys you something that'd keep you going until the next meal time
- Extensive menu: all the standard shawarma/keema/hummous fare you expect to find in a dive like this, and then some. I come back for their porterhouse steak: not really that good, but it's meaty enough for the price (P 160)
- Okay taste: not really prize winning but it serves :D Try their sauces out, not my thing but the GF loves it.
- They're pretty much open all day and night

Cons:
- What's with the new location? Used to be located in that nice old and rickety building right beside CS Place but they had to demolish it for a Xavier's school for the gifted or something. The new place isn't really conducive to parking (not that the older location was easy to park, you park right beside the road :P, but at least the entire length serves as your parking lot), and the space is quite crowded. I can't wait for the new area to be open to the public.
- Service is flakey :P I've had my orders mixed up several times.
- The porterhouse steak tastes kind of dodgy :D

TL;DR: it's not a bad place, but it's not a terribly good one either.

They have their own variety of Garlic Sauce. Their food is great.

Tip: when your requesting for Steak, tell them you want medium well. They tend to cook the steak into well done.

sizzling keema with mozarella cheese is awesome but the serving is quite few. they have variety of sauces to choose from - cheese, pesto, garlic, chili cheese etc!
they also have yoghurt shake which taste good but not as creamy as mister kabab's.
their beef chelo kebab is just so-so.
prices are affordable!

last night, i had some persian with some buds pre-going out and decided to hit up hassan along katipunan extension (new spot nearer to wham since countryside/big d's/hassan and que rico are gone 128546)

i had me some beef and chicken kabab and some hummus and pita. the beef and chicken kabab came with generous amounts of butter on rice and large tomatoes and onions. the winner about this place is the variety of sauces for the kababs and shawarmas. my favourite has to be the pesto sauce which gives the yogurt a different twist, especially when mixed in with some hot sauce.

the food was good, didn't cost too much (135 for sizzling plate, 45 for the hummus and 20 for the large pita)

just sucks they moved spots and the service that night was a bit spotty.
