This resort is the largest by far in Bohol with 400 rooms in a 6.5 hectare property. They have huge pools everywhere with wine bars in the middle of their pools.

My husband and I went here to try their buffet during our 4th wedding anniversary. When I learnt that their buffet at night costs Php 800+, I felt like it was too expensive for a dinner, so I expected a lot from the food.

Their buffet area is huge with lots of different food in a very nice presentation. I was unsure which one to pick and eat first. The ones I've tried are tempura, grilled pork, grilled squid, mushrooms, carbonara, seafoods, fruits, desserts and many others I wasn't familiar of. Yes, I was eating a lot! 128517 And all I have eaten were all delicious. So the cost was all worth it. I had a full and happy tummy. 128077

Lots of people were dining that night. But I'm glad we got accommodated very well. 3G is too slow in their restaurant but I was given access to their free wifi. I even got to charge my phone that was dying and had small chitchats of their employees. Excellent service I must say.

We got to enjoy the beach and the pool areas after dining. The breeze of the air from the sea was just perfect. And they seem to have lots of guests on a Thursday night. There was a live band performing outside the restaurant.

They have Day Tour Packages where you can enjoy their facilities inclusive of the buffet lunch or dinner. The cost per person ranges from Php 700 to Php 1, 100 during weekdays and Php 800 to Php 1, 200 during weekends.

Had another chance to sate their lunch buffet and it still maintains a gourmet quality of their preparations.

Their lunch buffets are a whole lot cheaper than their dinner buffets by a matter of 50% and it's also a lot cheaper during weekdays than the weekends. For their lunch buffet it'll cost you around P670 inclusive of 10% service charge and 12% government tax. The drinks are to be availed separately, though.

I have yet to try their dinner buffets. I heard you'll be shelling out around P900 or more. Perhaps their food selections are probably of higher quality and more international.

As for the above photo, I made it into their cabana bar located beside their infinity pool. That's mint julep and it costs P190 plus same extra charges summing up to P232 for the drink. It was a refreshing drink, perfect for the summer heat. Could've asked for more mint leaves though as the minty flavor was too subtle for my palate.

*Their wifi is up and running but some cannot be fully accommodated for the connection. Too bad.

Celebrated Christmas here at their Sea Breeze Cafe for a simple family lunch and wished we were a bit earlier to take first dibs on their delicious dishes!

It was a little bit crowded and noisy (I was kind of wishing no one's going to be at the resort during Christmas, haha!), no background music, perhaps sweet, Christmas music to rather soothe the customers' over excitement but I love their wide food selection. I especially love their tuscan tomato soup, the smell of cheese had my stomach churning. I also love their pork piccata milanese and beef korma yum yum! Their homemade lechon is juicy, too! Although no potential cutie waiters seen haha sorry for that! 128517

We didn't get to enjoy much of their desserts because it was already past 12 when we arrived awww too bad! At least I had chocolate rhum balls128076.

It's good to check your receipt before taking off from a deliciously filling lunch buffet. One ghost person was added to our bill so we had it corrected 128519.

A total of Php585 each including 12% govt tax and 10% service charge. It wasn't bad at all. Perhaps if the Christmas hype has died down, I could go back to fully satiate their food without the background noise haha!

Merry Christmas, everyone! Blessed year ahead! 128139.

If you wanna escape from the hustle and bustle from the city. Henann resort Panglao is the best place to be. The resorts facility is superb and world class. Owned by a Filipino hotelier family so expect a warm and unbelievable hospitality experience. The location is convenient to whatever you need. The numerous infinity pools will take your blues away. The beach is well maintained and so clean. This is a resort that is well planned and well managed. They provide comfort without sacrificing your style. Every corner is instagram and picture perfect. #loolooexplorerpackgiveaway

Beautiful resort hotel in Panglao. Opened last summer so the facilities are still new. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and clean smelling. The bathroom was nice, it had 2 sinks! :)

The resort is huge and has several massive pools all over. They are also beachfront and has fone white sands. The beach isnt rocky at all so you can swim barefoot 128077🏻

Free wifi access within the hotel, only strong in the lobby and restaurant, but in the room, the pools and beach area none. Weak data signal too.

Even if I have been to Bohol 3 times already in a span of 1 year, this wonderful place never seizes to amaze me. And no matter how many times I’ve set foot in Bohol, there seems to always be something new to see just like the newly opened luxury resort – Henann Resort Alona Beach Bohol.

All rooms and suites have balconies where you can hang out before calling it a day. Currently, Henann Resort Alona Beach Bohol has 230+ rooms already available out of the 400 rooms. Target date of completion is by August 22, 2015 – just in time for their inauguration. That includes 32 direct pool access rooms.

The resort had a few kinks... I hope they can still improve the following (since it's still their soft opening)
1. Weak water in the shower
2. Flies inside the rooms
3. Weak/slow wifi connection
4. Weak Globe signal inside rooms

But what made me give them a 4 rating was their food! Everything was delish! 128077🏼

A new luxury beachside resort in Panglao that has at least 8 swimming pools and a soon-to-open huge Convention Center. This is the Henann Resort Bohol.

The resort is situated in a beachfront property in a sprawling 6.5 hectare development in the works (parts of the resort are still under construction) located at the Alona Beach area of Panglao Island. They claim to be the largest luxury resort in Bohol once fully operational.

Alona Beach in Panglao is far from bucolic beach life but brings a more relaxed and less-frenzied beach living. Quite far from the commercialism and crowded beach of Boracay. The long stretch of white beach is dotted with other smaller living accommodations, dining spots, a number of bars, and scuba diving shops. Personally, it is a down-beat , uncrowded, pristine vacay spot that I love.

Henann Resort Bohol is part of the Henann Group that owns and manages other 3 resorts in Boracay (The Regency Boracay, Henann Garden Resort, and Henann Lagoon). The new venture in Bohol is perhaps a strategic move as the province anticipates the opening of a new airport in her famed Panglao island cutting the traveling time from Tagbilaran , thereby giving a direct access to tourists to the pristine white beaches and scuba diving spots of Panglao.

Rooms are spacious and tastefully appointed in subdued sea tones mixed with neutral hues. Lighting fixtures were also tasteful giving guests the option of controlling the rooms brightness. (and bathrooms are spacious and tastefully modern with their fixtures and amenities that include frameless all-glass shower enclosures128077). Each room had its own small terrace/balcony.

The numerous pools are beautifully incorporated into the sloping , treelined modern tropical landscape leading down to the their own beach stretch. They even have 4 jacuzzis amidst the pools. While I still prefer tanning at the beach and dipping at the clear blue waters of Alona Beach, the resort's numerous pools were nice nooks to simply chill as the sun became too hot or to do a lap or two.

Service as a whole was warm and welcoming. The resort's staff were courteous and helpful. But just like most newly opened establishments, there were a few very minor glitches that needed to be streamlined. Quite forgivable at this point since they just opened last May 1st plus the fact that upon our booking, they were very transparent in informing us that the resort was still on dry run. But I guess, by addressing the most notable areas for improvement, they will make guests' stay more parallel to their luxury resort image. The notable areas for improvement were:

- They need to streamline their check in procedures. It took some 40 minutes for us to check-in. Oddly, there were only 4 people ahead of us. It seemed that they had a bit of struggling locating the list of guests expected to check in. This is not a pleasant start considering we just came from a flight and a land travel from the airport. On the good side, upon checking-out, the process was fast.

-Wifi service. Their brochure stated that there was a charge for in-room Wifi services . But upon check-in, we were informed that WiFi services were free. Apparently, the service was really bad. Not only was the signal intermittent, but most of the time there was no signal at all. The sad thing, even the broadband signals that we used from our celfone providers were intermittent as well. I just hope that the resort beefs up their Wifi services specially that they plan to target huge corporate accounts with their Convention facilities.

For those who intend to visit the resort, I highly recommend that you book at the following rooms that are currently open. To my mind, these are the "best" rooms to fully immerse yourselves in the resort's nicest facilities. The best rooms that are currently open are either the rooms with direct access to the pool (literally having the pool steps right at your terrace) or get the rooms with your balcony facing the beach.

I can't wait to come back soon and book at one of for their 12 Pool Villas ( the villas are scheduled to open next month). The pool villas were huge and were each individually appointed with their own private/secluded dipping swimming pools.

Henann Resort Bohol comes highly recommended to people looking for a good beachfront resort while enjoying the lovely white beach of Panglao.
