Must try when in Paoay.

Pinakbet Pizza 128155128155128155128155128155
Poqui poqui (eggplant and egg) 128155128155128155128155
Dinakdakan128155128155128155

Downside lang, medyo mainit sa ibang part ng restaurant. Parang mahina yung aircon, pero kasi, laging madaming tao.

Also madaming langaw. Idk why and it's a bit pricey.

Last time I was in Ilocos, we tried their local dishes like bagnet and poki poki (I don't know if I spelled it correctly). I was Ilocos last weekend and we went to Herencia, since we have limited because we were on a joined tour, we chose to buy their pinakbet pizza and ilocandia. To go. The pinakbet pizza is good but I prefer the Ilocandia because of the longanisa.

Best. Pizza. In. The. North. Today we wanted to dine at Herencia but there was a catered event. But the owner/manager (?) was kind enough to allow us to order and eat outside! We had a pizza sampler of Pinakbet Pizza and Bagnet Pizza. I was surprised with their generous serving of bagnet because last time we were here, it was sparse.

Always good to eat here 128571

Always the prize after visiting 7 churches for Visita Iglesia. This thin crust pizza has become a tourist attraction on its own! Herencia Café gets more populated each year but people don't really mind lining up even just for a take out.

Of course the pizza, this is my nth review for it, I've told every word in my previous reviews which would only sum up to a few words - the best, the original, the one and only.

The flavors in the picture are the pinakbet pizza and bagnet pizza. See, the crust is super thin I could roll it like that! But dinuguan is still my favorite.

Less one star for this review because really, the restaurant is just so crowded. All tourists would wanna try but there's always a long queue. This has been going on ever since and I wonder why they cannot remedy this single problem. Just prepare like a million of those pizzas ready for take out. And, would you mind taking a whole block for your restaurant? Yes 128523

I do not eat vegetables (except salad) but this one is definitely worth a try when in Ilocos!

The cafe plays Ilocano music. The interior is rustic, vintage and a little hispanic.

My family and I got three flavors of pizza: Gamet, Chicharon, and the famous Pinakbet. I wasn't really expecting much cause I don't actually eat pinakbet (128517), but meh. It just tasted like pizza with weird vegetables on it (especially the ampalaya!!! Ehck). The Chicharon pizza was actually really good! I think it was made of bagnet (rip my arteries), but it was a nice twist to a typical meat pizza. The Gamet was... Something you'll have to try to understand it hahah (see photo). It kind of tastes like Nori, but with a soft, chewy texture. generally, I think the pizzas would've been better if they changed the cheese they used (it tasted like quick melt Lang)

Would probably skip it and just eat an empanada next time, but if you're ever in the area and there is no line, try it!

They're famous for their pinakbet and gamet (seaweed) pizza, but I'd rather stick to the regular flavors. They're interesting, but not exactly palatable..... 128517

I love their longganisa pizza and chicharon (bagnet) pizza. Native chicken tinola was super salty.

Try the pinakbet pizza (which what made this restaurant famous) just so you can say to your grandchildren that you tried it. It is what it is. It will be foolish to expect much.

No, it's not a painting! Our lunch at Herencia with a view of Paoay Church 9962️, a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Ilocos Norte.

Must try: Herencia Cafe is famous for its Pinakbet Pizza 127829.

What I didn't like: slow service 128012

My high school classmate who is from Paoay suggested a place called, Herencia de Paoay and to try out their Dinuguan and Pinakbet Pizza.

Weird? Quite so. Dinuguan Pizza was fine. I was expecting it to be saucy instead of just chunks of blood. It had slices of pork and chilies, too. It didn’t “wow” me!

For the Pinakbet Pizza, the cheese complimented with the vegetables and the semi-sweet pizza crust. Drizzling a little of the Bagoong Isda over your pizza slice works lovely with it… Something new. I prefer the Pinakbet Pizza over Dinuguan Pizza anytime.

Pinakbet Pizza.. It was okay for me. Nothing special. Lasa talagang pinakbet. Thin crust. They have bagoong sauce too. I only liked the tomato.

Pasta Ilocana.

Oh God, this pasta is to die for if:
127814 you're Ilocano
127814 you love longganisa
127814 you appreciate ingenius cooking

I just can't stop raving about this wonderful dish.
Imagine a typical Filipino breakfast favorite: Longsilog with sukang iloko, garlic, onions and sliced tomatoes. Perfect combination, right? Well I guess this perfect combination was translated into another dish!

Pasta sauce had that tangy flavor from the sukang Iloko and you know red sauces taste amazing with heaps of onions and garlic. There were still bits of the stewed tomatoes for the sauce. Absolutely perfect with the crispy longganisa instead of your normal meatballs.

Really. Please. TRY IT! 127837

Pinakbet Pizza, Pizza Ilocandia, Poque Poque, Isarabsab (not sure with the last one) omg Filipino food at its finest!!! This place did not disappoint! And the best part? Its very budget friendly. The price was very reasonable. I think it allows them to cater to all tourist from backpackers who just want to try the ilocos delicacy to the high maintenance ones. Love this place so much, its super authentic!

This is not to miss everytime we go home to Ilocos. Yes, it's the original home of pinakbet pizza.

We got 3 flavors: Pinakbet, Dinuguan and Chicharon. Typing these flavors is so mouthwatering lol.

Of course, pinakbet flavor is always the star. But today, I loved the dinuguan! It was authentic dinuguan flavor in a super cheesy thin crust. Totally delicious!

Last time I got hooked with the chicharon flavor but today it was too oily, but still it was good.

What's great about the pizza are the really thin and crispy crust and the tasty cheese overload. The flavors are great bonuses. All in all, it's worth the calories.

The place has a nice ambience giving you an amazing view of the famous Paoay church.

Just a tip: You can have your dessert at a store nearby which sells delicious ice cones and special halo-halo. Give them a try too! It'll give you a very satisfying and blissful foodtrip 128076128523
