I was looking forward to a good and yummy breakfast after a looooooong drive from Manila. Tired, sleepy, and hungry, our tour guide brought us here. Breakfast at Hidden Garden!!! Yayyy!!

From Calle Crisologo, this is kind of far, I think around 20-30min drive or we're all just too hungry and tired that it felt like a long drive and that it's really a "hidden garden". 128517 We arrived a little too early so we still had to wait for the store to open. Waiting is fine as long as the staffs are nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, the staffs here are not.. but oh wellll.. 🙄🙄

PLACE: Place is like a garden slash museum slash souvenir shop. But an old one. It's very nature-y but I don't feel calm and relaxed here. The place doesn't feel and look clean. 128528128528 There's a cat roaming around, minsan nasa baba/sahig, madalas nasa taas ng tables... 🙁128555

FOOD: Since Vigan is known for their longanisa and bagnet, most of us ordered LONGSILOG and BAGNETSILOG. 128069 We were also hoping to try other Ilocos specialties (i.e., empanada, pinakbet, poqui-poqui) but since it was still pretty early, only the silogs were available during our visit. 128533

Anyway, after a couple of minutes, we were served with our orders. With so much excitement and high expectations, sadly, we were not that impressed. 128528

The longanisa was good but not as garlick-y as I was hoping it to be. Nothing special. Also, in the menu, there's 3 pcs, but in reality, only 2 were served. My mom asked why the picture is different and even said it's misrepresentation (which is bad!). I guess they got scared that they all gave us 3pcs each! 128517

The bagnet was good too but we were all like "ito na yun? Parang lechon kawali lang!". Maybe hindi pa ito yun because despite us being early, it felt and tasted like most of the dishes were not "freshly made". ☹️☹️

As mentioned, there was nothing special. We can easily eat both here in Manila -- even yummier and so much better!!

The silogs are also served with either hot choco (milo) or coffee (nescafe 3-in-1). When it comes to utensils, mugs, and plates, I am very maarte and I make sure they're clean. I had a hard time finding a mug to use since most were still "dirty". I had to rinse them first with hot water before using them. 128528

SERVICE: Just okay. Staffs aren't the nicest and warmest. Masyado pa sigurong maaga, low energy pa.

PS: Not recommending this place. Sorry.

Imy expections are so high when it comes to delicacies of the Ilocanos and so one of my reasons why I chose Ilocos region as my vacation spot because I wanted to try out their infamous bagnet and Vigan longganisa. Sadly, bagnet was not I expected it to be. The taste is so basic for my standards that I was comparing my mother's recipe of lechon kawali. But the Vigan longganisa exceeds my expectations because I like the taste very much. Also this resto that we chose falls short on food presentation.

We had sinanglaw, okoy and buko halo-halo. The whole garden feature is a nice is a refreshing change to the usually get to a restaurant and sit down and order. Here you walk through their garden before you make your way to the restaurant. Food was OK but forgivable because of the whole garden ambiance.

Our first itinerary of our Ilocos Trip last April 29 in the morning. We decided to have our breakfast here. There was so many people that time and parking is a bit hard to find, glad we had a driver. 128656

It's really crowded and since we're so tired and hungry so we don't have any choice. I was expecting a lot as I was researching prior to our trip that this is a must try restaurant in Vigan. They were right that the place is nice. It was very big and it's like a secret garden but the food , price and service is just okay.

We ordered the bagnetilog and I can't notice that it was a bagnet, it's like a normal lechon kawali and so sad to say is not crunchy. The price is around 100 plus or 150 pesos and it comes with free coffee but it's self service. Service was too slow. My aunt even don't like that taste of their Vigan longganisa.

All I like here is the place, good for picture taking that's all.

And ohhh there was a long que in their restroom.

The service was good, the waiters/waitresses are warm and alert. The food itself was just okay. I love the ambiance though, it really is a hidden garden. The prices are okay too.

Food was normal, we ordered their Silog meals so it was kinda normal. Longganisa tastes good and pairs well with suka. The place is what is expected from a restaurant in the province. Very nature-feels.

Visited the hidden garden to buy some new plants. Me and my mother purchased new plants for her garden/cooking hahaha. We bought an American Lemon plant and A parsley plant.

I really loved the idea of this garden. When their plants bloom, they also use it for their restaurant, which i think is very cool. Hahaha.

I hope to eat in their restaurant soon. :)

Ate here during lunch time. The place was full of tourists.

The food took a bit long but I understand because it really is full.
The wait is worth it because their food's suuuuupet delicious that it makes me crave for more and want to go back to Ilocos!!

Their Sinigang na Bagnet and Bagnet sisig 128525 Must try!!!! Plus the food is not expensive 128077

The bagnet is Vigan-good. The empanda is great. And the Warek-Warek is very good. Plus, the garden is just really telling you to eat there. They're displaying a picture of their cuisines all over the garden when you go around.

Arrived at the restaurant, waiters took 30 minutes before our table was cleared. Meh. Awful service, restaurants like these should have hired more staff during the holidays. Probably best to avoid coming here during Christmas and Holy Week holidays.

Let's start my vigan review with hidden garden. 127802Approximately 10- 15minutes away from the heritage village. I noticed that their Standard tricycle fare is 40php. Never ask how much is the fee. I guarantee you they will increase the price. 128078

The place is perfectly refreshing. Indeed a wide beautiful garden. A very popular place in Vigan.

We ordered Bagnet. It was so-so. I didn't find something special on the taste. We also ordered poqui-poqui. Again, I didnt find something authenticity on the food. Probably, Ill expect too much. The food was good. But nothing to crave for in the future. Lastly we also ordered their hidden garden rice. Atleast, I can say I had something that I savored.

The price is a bit expensive though. Good thing the place is really nice. Im still looking forward to come back in this place if ever ill be back to vigan, just to sit, breathe and relax. 128524

What they could have done differently? Since their crews are wearing camisa de chino with bandana and their playing tradional filipino songs. Why dont they dance to add some entertainment? Or someone to sing with guitar. The usual entertainment I know for a filipino restautant. Isn't it nice? 128131
