It's been ages since I last posted. Ohhh how I miss looloo. Super busy na kasi. 128518

First off, mom's birthday treat! It was just an impromptu call for buffet lunch at High Street Cafe. Mom was at her usual, she has no plans for her birthday. Hahaha. So dad decided to make a reservation at the newest Shang. It was great 'coz we got a reservation just for the day. No hassle.

We start at exactly twelve. I haven't had enough breakfast so yeah...I got this. Hindi ako lugi. 128517 The hotel lobby was simple yet elegant. There was nothing much, nothing extravagant. It's spacious. Upon entering, staff were very polite. They greet you with enthusiasm. Looks like I'm going to enjoy. I started with salad of course. Same as the usual buffets, what I came back for was their sesame dressing with bacon. lol. I also had thai salad. 'Coz I'm curious like that. It tasted more like Viet salad, very tangy which I happened to not like. But my mom does liked it.

Next was main course. I had all meat. From the tenderest roasted pork to my favorite lamb and mint. Ugh! I loved both! The lechon was love! 128525 I wanted to have more but I was afraid baka sakit batok. Hahaha! Of course, the steak was there, filipino dishes like kaldereta, spaghetti, dynamite, duck and a whole lot more of protein.

By that point I could feel the defeat. lol. I'm quite full already. 128557 I was aiming for Japanese food. Sadly, I can't. But for dessert, I still have room. It was yum!!! My brother who tried eating here before told us that they got the best array of dessert. I got them ice cream first. Tried the burnt rice and blueberry which was both just okay. Their cakes and tarts. I'm such a sucker for tarts! I love their tarts! Ugh! The crust was perfect. Not hard. A little moist inside and the texture was right. The filling was good! I wanted to take it home. I wanted to have their chocolate lava too but I was full.

All in all was great! Definitely a must try.

Finally! After weeks and weeks of putting off our buffet dinner at the newest Shangri-la hotel, we decided to go last month!

The interiors felt homey to all of us and let me start by saying that they have the aircons on full blast!!! Anyway, upon being led to our table, we had a glimpse of what they had to offer, and I was already very excited by then!!

There were a lot of choices, and what struck me the most was their claypot rice. It was so nice to see my dad enjoying that so I decided to get one for myself. Meat was tender and of course I loved the dish!! They didnt have a wide choice of pastas that day, they only served penne in white sauce with sun dried tomatoes which was equally great. They also have lots and lots of salad choices -- from crazy crab salad to duck salad. Omg....

Their sushi or maki area isn't really special as well as their steaks. Nothing can compare to circles!

What I loved the most about our dinner was the dessert section. OF COURSE!! There were definitely a lot of choices and each offering was worth every calorie and sugar intake. Compared to Circles, High Street Cafe's was much better! Although I missed the ice cream section, because I already had too much food by then.

Almost everything had gold flakes! Forgot the names of the desserts but check attached photos as I took them for reference. You can even take them home for a minimum fee.

Service is impeccable and place is very clean. Price is right!! 1800php per head that night and 900 for children if I'm not mistaken.

Also they only accept Golden Circle cards, no discount, just additional points!

Cant wait to come back!

One of my best breakfast buffet Shangri-La Hotel experience127860

Last July 16-17, hubby celebrated his post bday celebration at Shangrila The Fort Manila for a staycation. It includes complimentary buffet breakfast already, for two adults and two kids with that package that we avail. Then mom Elaine P visited us so we let her join breakfast also so I just had additional payments of almost 1k only.

High Street Cafe at Shangri-La The Fort serves International Cuisine prepared by their exceptional Chefs. This is were we had our complimentary breakfast.

Buffet Breakfast operating hours
6:00 am to 10:00 am (Mon-Thurs)
6:00am to 10:30am (Fri-Sun)

Dress Code: Casual

It's an all day dining restaurant at Shangrila The Fort. Offering world class cuisine with friendly ambience. It features 9 different buffet stations.

There were pastries, salads, egg station, Japanese station etc. too many to mention. It's not breakfast anymore it's like a lunch buffet na din with too many choices! One of the dishes that I enjoyed most was the laksa! My goodness it's so good127860 the broth was perfect 128077 then for desserts tried different gelatos. They have blueberry cheesecake, Ricotta Orange, cookies and cream, caramel popcorn , guyabano, Davao dark chocolate is one that I liked most and the manggat gulaman, they have Madagascar vanilla, grapefruit and strawberries and cream. If you love gelatos you'll enjoy High street cafe. I even requested for a hot chocolate and it was served hot with their nice High Street Cafe mug, they are selling this mug too for around 600 pesos.

The dining experience is 1108811088110881108811088️. The wifi connection was fast, the ambience was elegant from chairs to utensils but most of all the service was world class , every now and then the waiters/waitress check on us what do we need. It's like you have your own private chef. Take note , one of the Chefs even assisted hubby with his food going to our table.

As a golden circle member, I am entitled to gain points also. What a lovely and satisfying Sunday buffet breakfast. Highly recommended. True Shangrila dining experience. 128076if it's Shangrila , it's always be the BEST128076

Pre birthday lunch celeb with my fam 128522 it was also my mom's retirement 'treat', thanks mommy! It was my first time at this buffet (and hotel) and I was amazed at the vast array of top of the line food to choose from! The dining hall itself is bright and refreshing, I feel that encourages you to be a bit more casual, walk around and enjoy the place 128522
Lunch isn't really my strong suit, I'm more of a night shredder (which is bad) but I still made the most of this gorgeous buffet.
The line starts with fresh juice, seafood and salad. You can make your own salad or get a prepared one in a jar (in picture). Alas it had crabmeat so I couldn't taste it.
I think I ate the most from the appetizer area, it was hands down one of the best spreads I've seen! They had charcuterie like prosciutto and pancetta, prosciutto with melon, gambas, an assortment of bread and even my favorite from the polo club which is nut crusted cheese 128525 there's even a server going around serving freshly baked bread, it was super good! They served cheese bread that was really filled with cheese, omg Kung d Lang ako naka white I would've eaten half a dozen 128540
The Asian dishes included (from what I remember) Macanese food, clay pot rice (in picture) and the usual Chinese fare like sweet and sour pork etc. but what sets this spread aside is their laksa! It was hubby's favorite and I believe he had two bowls 128556 fresh and creamy, prepared right in front of you!
The Japanese spread was super fresh! As you can see, fresh tuna right from the tuna 128031
However, I wasn't really impressed/satisfied with their carving section. Both my dad and I love steak and theirs just didn't deliver, Mejo matigas 128529
Servers were attentive, polite and well-trained IMO.
Overall the spread was great, beautifully displayed and prepared. A real experience for every foodie 128522

Perks of being a driver of your boss. Lol-- its his bday so yay! So happy i get to try this. I was hoping only for a high tea session here but no. My molars are actually aching but i said to myself, bukas mag dedentist naman ako.

The moment i entered the buffet area, i puked rainbows. i was thinking which area should i take a pic first. Then boss came and told me to eat first. Lol

🇯🇵 I dug in the Japanese area first. I liked their tuna tartare, salmon sashimi, and several kinds of sushi. Their rolls are good too! There's a large tuna too that they serve you right from the fish part you want. Do you know what happens to its excess at the end of the day? They sell it to other restaurant at a lower price daw.

🇨🇳 the chinese--dimsum and all-- stuff are at the back part. It's a circular kiosk where you'd see long chopsticks and the gamiliar smoke coming from steam. I just tried thir peking duck and it's really good. Kristin A was right on the suggestion! It is tender and really meaty. The skin was not that crispy though. Don't forget to get the sauce for the duck

127830 rotisserie--where you can find the wagyu--however it was not available during my stay 128557128557128557
I tried their USDA beef at medium rare and it's not that tender. I suggest you tell them to slice it really thin! Then here comes the lamb! This is better than the USDA Beef. I love the mint jelly combination.

127807salad station. Just greens and some viet rolls.

127851desserts are always what i look for in a buffet and high street cafe? Very good!
128204128525 creme caramel
This is custard caramel with blueberries and strawberries
128204128525 raspberry cake
It's my first time to try fresh raspberries. It's soft, sour and seedy.
128204128525 tres leches
Three milk--evaporated, condensed and custard milk. Real sweet with peaches!
128204tarts, cakes, fondue and trifles
It was very well crafted. But not really memorable
127848127847127846ice cream!!! 128525128525128525 this deserves a grand review! Their ice cream is from manila creamery the moment i saw the mangga't suman i knew it!
128204128525 davao dark chocolate
This was my favorite rich bitter cacao chocolate.
128204128525 blueberry cheesecake
I close my eyes and thought i was eating the real cheesecake
128204128525 mangga't suman
Bravo. Unique tasting milky ice cream with bits of glutinous rice
128204 malt
New flavor! It kinda tastes like horlicks--only very light.
128204 lemon
Not good. Super sour and i think it's considered a sorbet.
128204 orange ricotta
Meh. Light orangy.
128204 burnt rice
I like casa italia's version more
128204 caramel popcorn
Weird, but it tastes like burnt rice--only buttery

Well, i did not get anything from the seafood 🦀 area... Hahaha!! Im lazy to "debone" them.
Also, i snub the meditteranean🇹🇷 area where i saw the stuff peppers--also i just passed by the cured ham and cheeses 🧀area. No wines127863 tonight too since i'm driving 128540

Parking is quite difficult because mostly there's no more space. Only b1,b2 and b4 are available for guests. 100 pesos for the first 3 hours and remember to pay on the 2nd floor before leaving/going to the parking

Service is good. Everytime i go back to my table, my previous plate is removed. And my first time to hear a server asked me if i was enjoying the food (usually servers dont ask pag buffet) but yeah, i think i love the whole thing. 128521

It took quite a bit of time for me and my teammate to try out the dinner buffet, which we were excited for because apparently there was Maine lobster. When plans with another friend fell through, we finally decided to go last minute to get it over with 128513

What I loved:
128046 wagyu roast beef
128039 peking duck wrap
127843 tuna sashimi freshly cut from an actual fish 128514
128044 tuna tartare
128032 salmon sashimi in generous slices
128031 white fish ceviche (a featured dish in the seafood section)
127848 molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream 128523

other notables:
127856 tiramisu and strawberry cream (in photo)
127819 mango and kani salad
128046 beef stew
128055 lechon macau
127839 baked potato (the toppings looked yummy)
128044 seared tuna
☘ hummus and tzatziki

The selection is fairly varied though not that extensive (my standard outside of Spiral was the old Paseo Uno). But the displays are pretty enticing and there are at least one or two featured dishes for each station that is out of the ordinary, like the ceviche from the fresh seafood station. I did mourn the lack of foie gras during our visit 128542.

Overall it is 4-4.5 stars. Some of the items seemed like misses, like the dry sandwiches and the spicy tuna. The slipper lobster was also mushy according to my friend. But the hits more than made up for it. Make sure to leave room for dessert, because they are awesome.

PS I dunno about weekend buffet but the Maine lobster was a no-show. 🦂

Company sponsored lunch treat at this newly opened hotel. Food was ok. Enjoyed the risotto and potato and leek soup. But the rest- Chinese food, Japanese, Italian food were so-so. The best part was the dessert bar. Super duper beautiful and yummy. Failed in controlling sugar intake! The fruits were so sweet and delicious as well. It's 1750.00 per head (adult)- ok lang. The bad part is that kids are half price, but babies and toddlers eat for free. So it's not worth it for kids.

Don't leave this place without getting some bacon, laksa, different kinds of yogurt, ricotta orange ice cream, and the chilled desserts.

The service was great. Very courteous and attentive staff. Kudos! They let you choose if you'd like to have brewed coffee or tea, and serve a pot of it on your table.

I was so full it was so hard to breathe for 3 hrs. Hahaha!

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at High Street Cafe. We had dinner buffet. I loved the atmosphere, the food and the high quality service. I will definitely go back!! One of the best buffets I've ever had! Too bad I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures. My personal favorites are the Chinese food (duck, dimsum, etc), Wagyu, lamb chops, and Laksa! I liked their ice cream flavors as well! I tried Mango't suman, Malt, Blueberry Cheesecake and Burnt Rice!

Note: Our servers were very accommodating! Their names were Mico and Kharla. Mico gave us a happy anniversary dessert when he knew we were celebrating our anniversary!

Ever since they opened, I have always wanted to try this place. I have read a number of good reviews so when an oh so generous friend decided to treat us here for his birthday, I inner baboy in me got really excited!!!! 128055

Since we are all working already, the only time we can all meet is during dinner. Not sure what time the dinner buffet starts but when we arrived at around 745pm, there were a number of guests eating already. The place was spacious but not that big. I liked how they designed the place. Also, it's nice that the feel/vibe and set up of the place is just casual and not that super formal unlike in other hotel buffets. Chill lang. 128076🏼

Once we were all complete, we started eating!!! Yayyyy!! 128055

Started the feast with some salad. The salad area excites me most of the time. The sight of fresh greens and veggies!!! 128154128154128154 But their station wasn't that happy.. Not inviting. It felt really sad. Plus the one assigned wasn't that warm, as well. Tried the Thai Salad and it was just okay. It was refreshing but nothing special.

Then after that, tried some cheese in the cheese/deli area. The choices are not that much as well but since I'm not really a fan, this was just okay. Usual cheese/deli section in any buffet. Tried the sandwich with ham, cheese and pesto. It was just okay. The baguette was too hard. 128517

Then the Japanese station!!!! This is probably one of the better stations. Fresh tuna and salmon!!! 128525128525128525 But the choices are very limited. No tempura and teppanyaki. Just some rolls, sashimi, and miso soup.

Then Chinese, was so excited to try the clay pot dish but found the dish meh. 128528 Then the hakaw.. Saddest hakaw ever. Parang siomai lang. 128534128542 Hakaw at Viking's is so much better!!! 128527 But the peking duck was good!! Loved how soft and tasty the duck was. 128077🏼

A lot of the reviews I've read were raving about the Laksa so I made sure to try it. And yup, it was really good and flavorful. Loved everything about it! So comforting. I would love to have this again especially now that the rainy season's here. 127836128076🏼

The steak and the chicken special something were both just okay. 128529

I wasn't able to try the other stations anymore since I'm already full and most of the dishes I already tried were either meh or just okay. Nothing extra ordinary. Didn't tried the seafood and Italian station anymore. 128557128529128530

But since there's always room for dessert... Last but definitely not the least, DESSERT TIME!!! The only station worth coming back for (plus the laksa).

There are a lot of choices available. They have fruit tarts, mini cakes, lava cake, kakanin, macaroons, ice cream, chocolate fondue, and other pastries (but no crepe!!! 128557128529).

My favorites are the following:

Dark Chocolate and Dark Chocolate w Pistachio mini cakes. Liked how rich and thick the flavor was. Plus it wasn't that sweet. Tried the green tea mini cakes as well but we all agreed that it wasn't that green tea-y.

Macaroons. Liked the chocolate flavored the most. 128513127851

Lava Cake!!!! The best dessert for me was this!!! It was really really really really really good! So sinful but so yummy and overflowing with chocolatey goodness! You have to try this!!! 128525128077🏼

If you love desserts + laksa, you'll love it here! 128076🏼

Service was just okay. Everyone wasn't that friendly. The place was chill but the staffs were not. 128529128564

Last May 6th, I and my family had dinner at High Street Café at Shangri-La, The Fort.
High Street Café is an all-day dining restaurant of Shangri-La, designed as a neighborhood food hall offering world class cuisines with casual service and benevolent ambiance.

This restaurant offers 9 different buffet stations. The first station I went was the "Frozen Poached Seafood Station" because I am a seafood lover. They have lobsters, crabs, scallops, and etc. All of it tastes so good and it's all fresh. Best to have it cooked to truly enjoy 'em.

I also tried their Japanese Cuisine. The freshly sliced tuna was pretty impressive and they also have Salmon and Mackerel Sashimi. I also loved their sushi. Sadly, they don't have Tempura or Teppanyaki.

One of my favorites in the buffet is their Wanton noodles. It's super tasty, and it's not an ordinary wanton. It is probably the best wanton I've had in my life. Also, don't forget to try their super creamy Laksa with a good spicy kick!

The next station I'm going to talk about is definitely my favorite; The "Dessert Station." I am a Macaron lover and to be honest, I fell in love on how they were arranged. They also have different flavors of cakes and their L'opera cakes are the bomb! My most favorite is the Green Tea L'opera cake - and yes, it has edible gold on top of it. They also have different types of pastries and different flavors of ice cream. You must also try their homemade ice cream cocktail creations.

I also tried the grilled Lamb which has mint sauce and it was very tasty. Their roasted duck was good.

They have a lot to offer in this buffet restaurant. I honestly weren't able to try everything and but I am very satisfied with the food.

Overall, I love the classy and elegant ambience of High Street Cafe. Their dress code is smart casual. They have a fixed net price for lunch and dinner, which is already a good value for money considering the number of buffet stations.

This is a wonderful first class buffet! This is also the first time that a hotel in Manila has offered unlimited drinks along with their buffet! I had lunch here with my family and it was not disappointing! The Japanese section had fresh tuna, with the fish still displayed on ice, there were many types or rolls, miso soup, cold soba. The roasts section had Angus tenderloin, lamb chops, chicken, various vegetables, and lazy rice perfect for steaks. I was told they have wagyu for dinner! The Chinese section had dimsum, kung po chicken, sweet and sour pork, Black pepper crab, bistek style adobo, and fried rice. There was also a noodle soup section that had LakSa or shabu shabu. There were lots of balls to choose from, The LakSa was not so rich. And here comes my favorite part, the desserts!! The macarons were divine!!! There were tons of cakes to choose from, I loved the napoleon, tiramisu, and berry cheesecake! There were many flavors of gelato to choose from! I also lobed their watermelon amd herb infused water! This is my new favorite hotel buffet! (It used to be city of dreams) 128521 sorry for my lack of photos, they all went into my snapchat huhu. So this photo is their to die for molten lava cake with a scoop of Orange gelato. I am giving only 4 stars for now because I have yet to try their wagyu if it's really wagyu and their other desserts hahaha

I went to eat dinner at High Street Cafe of Fort Shangrila Hotel last week.

The dinner buffet have a variety of cuisines from Chinese, Filipino, American, Italian, Japanese, Indian and many more.It also have Sandwhich, Salad and Noodle section.

For dessert in the dinner buffet, they have different flavored of ice cream, macaroons, Filipino desserts, cakes, fruits and other sweets.

The ambiance is good.

The place is clean and has good lighting.

The service is good.

The cost of dinner buffet is around P1300 to P1500 per person. It expensive.

I recommend you to reserve a table before you go to restaurant. There is no Free Parking or Parking Validation there. The Parking Cost is around P50 for first 1 or 2 hr and succeeding hours costs additional P10.Not bad.I also recommend not to eat too much during the day so that you can eat so much for dinner buffet.

Shangrila's newest buffet. For me, this one is much better than Circles. Great ambiance. I love their selections especially the desserts bar, worth the calories. Food was great and there's also a free flowing of drinks (unlike other hotels) but only limited choices. Staff was accomodating and nice.
Aside from Spiral, it is one of the best buffets, in terms of variety and quality of food. 128523
