Yum yum. Buffet. Limited selection compared to circles and heat. Quality is close to similar. Not too bad at all. Loved the ceviche station. I'm a bit biased for that. The sashimi station is worth taking a picture with cut up tuna on display. Don't mind going back as long as someone is paying.

After our lunch at TWG, we went to Shangri-la The Fort to check a cafe/ restaurant for a cup of coffee. And decided to try the High Street Lounge and end up of having a tea instead of coffee.
As we enter the lounge we were mesmerized with the classy and elegant set-up of the place. The stunning chandelier in the center was an incredible manmade masterpiece, you surely won't missed this amazing thing.

Just the ambience, 'nuff said i'm gonna give this a high 5! Who would not fall in love with this lounge? Well lit in the afternoon, abundant comfy couches, high class interior, look at that chandelier! They play jazzy music, and sometimes in the evening they got DJs playing (not party hard type). The grand piano was in tune and sounds great. There's also a drum set to go with the piano to make a perfect live jazz show.
Well, that afternoon, we decided to order their west high tea set. All sets (2) is good for two, but the lovely server named Lovely was amenable to give us three cups.
West high tea set (@950PhP) is composed of western sweets and savory as opposed to asian (filipino) set for the East high tea.
Each tea set will give you an option to choose two kinds of tea or coffee. They get their coffee from Toby's estate so we quickly opted for the tea. As for teas, they have a lot--like A LOT of options. (Check out the menu attached)
We got the
mango strawberry tea
moroccan mint tea
You could ask the server to give you syrup with no extra charge!
What i like from the set are
scrambled truffle egg topped with caviar - the truffle will tease you into eating more! I love that it's also fluffy.
strawberry chocolate ganache
It's no ordinary cheesecake as this one is cutely presented in a cylindrical white chocolate flake still with a blond graham crust, filled up all the way to the rim of soft cheesecake topped with blueberry and raspberry.
smoked salmon, lime cream and dill
Who does not love tasty smoked salmon sandwiched in a glazed bread??
I cannot wait to have my east set with my dear friends! Lol.

For the High Street Lounge, all I can say is I felt right at home.
I had one of the best cup of cappuccino ever, which was by Toby's Estate. I also paired my coffee with cake! I had the Gold Soul Chocolate Cake and it was heaven. ️️ It was rich, moist, with a crisp bottom. It was smooth and bittersweet on the tongue. Wow, just wow! For around P160, it was really worth it! I would pay more even.
I was full already, but my mom wanted some "real" food too! So we also ordered Seafood Noodle Soup, which was super packed with flavor and generously filled with seafood. It wasn't really my type, but it wasn't so bad. I guess I'll stick to the pastries and other sweets next time.
After finishing our food, the comfy seats, high ceiling, and sunlight coming through the glass windows just made it hard to leave.
The attendants were very efficient and courteous. They really give you that 5 star quality service.
I'll be back for sure!

Holy Thursday afternoon well spent with my family. Had a relaxing
afternoon tea at the newest Shangrila hotel branch, Shangrila-la The Fort
Manila located at Bonifacio Global City. I am an afternoon tea lover. Mom
and my daughter is my high tea companion most of the time and this is the
first time that my husband joined me for an afternoon tea so it's really
memorable for me. I have tried an afternoon tea at the Edsa Shang and the
Makati Shang so i was really eager to know the difference here at Shangrila
The Fort Manila. We arrived at exact 2pm at the High Street Lounge located
at the 2nd floor of the Shangrila The Fort. The chandeliers will caught
your attention and I love beautiful chandeliers pretty amazing Compare
to Makati Shang that you will be serenade by an orchestra , they don't have
it here , but I like it more as we can able to chat with one another rather
than there was a music background. I love the serenity of the place. One of
their lady staff gave us the menu of their afternoon tea. They served two
kinds: The West and The East. Both for the price of 950 pesos nett. Each
set is good for two persons and we were four so we decided to get both of
it. One West and One East afternoon tea set. Waiting time is around 15-20
minutes. First they served us our chosen tea. I tried their strawberry rose
tea, the aroma is so good while the kids had blueberry flavor. Each one of
us had a generous cup of tea for that day and it's refillable. Then we
waited for 5-10 mins for the pastries to be serve. WEST (950) Amuse
bouche - scrambled truffle egg topped with caviar Savory - Smoked salmon,
limed cream, dill cucumber ,sour cream, chives , Mozzarella, pine nuts,
pesto, tomato. Pastries 🔸passionfruit macaron strawberry choco ganache
🔸 Pistachio Financier 🔸 baked lemon meringue tarlet 🔸 vanilla creme
brûlée with berries 🔸 Chocolate soul gold slice 🔸 freshly baked cranberry
scones 🔸Double cream 🔸homemade strawberry confiture (Includes tea or
coffee for 2) EAST (950) Amuse Bouche - pumpkin cream with birds nest and
gold leaves. Savory - Crispy duck spring rolls , plum sauce - Baked char
siu bun - Roasted prawn with mango , ginger, Vietnamese Mint - Spiced tuna
maki, wasabi lime cream Pastries 🔸deep fried glutinous rice ball, lotus
paste 🔸Green Tea Chocolate Opera 🔸Black sesame macaron 🔸baked egg tart
🔸freshly baked ginger lemon scone 🔸double cream 🔸pineapple jam
Includes tea or coffee for two) Among the two , I prefer the West and it's my kids
choice also. I haven't tasted much the East as it was hubby who almost took
it all. For the western my favorite there was the chocolate soul gold slice
while in the eastern the pumpkin soup with gold leaves tasted good and
catch my attention . The service was excellent. Even if it's almost full by
around 4pm the staffs were able to attend to each and everyone needs, even
their foreign manager was very hands on with the guests, this is why I love
Shangrila Hotels, they give you a world class service. What's good also
while having our afternoon tea, there were sockets for charging under our
couch seats and the wifi connection was very strong . You'll be surprised
that afternoon tea here is for all ages, you can spot families having high
tea , teenagers, professionals , senior citizens and even kids are enjoying
here. High tea is a great family bonding activity thats why I love having
high tea. I'll give 5 stars for this, looking forward for another afternoon
tea experience here at Shangrila The Fort Manila, my mom miss this moment ,
would love to bring her here as she was my original afternoon tea companion
