The Hilofeña house is not as old as Balay Negrense but it is by no means a less worthy attraction. The first floor contains an assortment of antique and vintage items (like original pocketbooks circa 1940s that American GIs carried in their pockets, and various religious statues and icons).
The second floor is where the motherlode is at - it contains a collection of priceless paintings made by the local who's who. There are paintings and sketches by classic favourites like Fernando Amorsolo, Felix Resureccion Hidalgo, and Jose Rizal. And there are also more modern ones by well known artists today such as BenCab. There are also paintings and artwork done by not so famous local artists that are truly spectacular. I could have spent hours staring at all the artwork.
If you're an art buff, this place is a must see.
