Hinulugang Taktak was one of those places I've known about since childhood but never bothered to visit even though it was a fairly short drive from home. I also knew that it was closed for a while due to rehabilitation because of years of human encroachment. Well, now it's open to the public again and it just so happened that we needed a place for an impromptu photo session with a nice backdrop. So this place came to mind.

We decided to drop by on a Sunday so traffic was a bit friendly. It's quite easy to find even without using navigation apps since there are signages along the way and well, it is the most iconic tourist attraction in Antipolo after all, so the locals can easily point you in the right direction.

Upon entering, we were pleased to know that entrance is free of charge. Hooray! Nowadays, tourist attractions normally charge a nominal fee so that was something to smile about. So all we had to do was register our names and go down a short path down to the falls.

The place was still undergoing rehabilitation at the time so there were some construction vehicles in the area. Luckily, the view of the waterfalls was not obstructed and we could go about with our photo shoot unhindered.

As shown in the photo I took, the falls look great and one can notice the effort to clean up the surroundings. On the downside, there was still a distinct foul-smelling odor from the water but not enough to totally ruin our stay.

Hopefully, the rehab plan continues and the complete revival of the area will bring in more visitors. I certainly appreciated our short visit and it renewed my interest in seeing more of Rizal's natural beauty.

If not for the stinky smell, experience couldve been better..Dropped by the classic falls of antipolo, hinulugang taktak.. After the government has re-opened this to the public, and being an antipolo resident for almost 7 years , this is my first time to visit this tatak antipolo hit.. There were no entrance fee.. The view is great, they tried to keep the surroundings clean but the smell is still disappointing.. you don't want to have your picnic around here for sure..spent almost 10 minutes in this place to take pictures and just head back home

Its seems to be a nice place to visit on weekdays, relax and take pictures. No entrance fee, just sign in on their visitors' log sheet. You may bring foods.

Tired of traffic and noise around the city? Hinulugang Taktak might be the answer. The place is currently under rehabilitation but is open for guests who just want to have breather, to relax and enjoy the view of the flowing water. It's good place to de-stress 128512

wow!!!!

we directly hang here for while to refresh here physically after refreshing spiritually in Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage... sobrang excited talaga ako makita to personally , and I was in full awe and amaze seeing it infront of me..

at grabe yung stair na dinahanan namin when we're exiting , hiningal ako ng bongga na talagang hinahabol ko yung breathe ko pagkaupo sa sasakyan when were leaving the place..sino man architect nun na nakaisip ng ganung karamihang stairs,.tanong ko lang, di ka naman galit sa hagdan noh?..

After rehabilitation! This place has a history of negligence by the people but seems like the Antipolo and Rizal government are on the right track to rehabilitate this place! The falls is perfect for pictures but for view only. You're not allowed to go down and swim. They have a pool on the other side but you have to pay extra charges I guess. Still, worth going to when you happen to be in Antipolo. 128522

I remember the time when my family used to go at Hinulugang Taktak in Antipolo. I was a kiddo way back then. The water is really clear and clean. It became a tourist attraction way back then. But the magnificence of the falls just vanished. It's now filled with floating garbage. That's really sad thing to know. 128532128532128532
