Our go to place whenever we're lazy to cook. Food is affordable for the size they are serving. Sweet and sour fish fillet and calamares are our fave! Place is just simple but clean. Staff are approachable and attentive. Best place for your Chinese food cravings if your within the area.

When we're craving Chinese food, this is our first choice of restaurant. It serves affordable but delicious and legit Chinese food.128114 Plus it's near our place.

The restaurant looks plain but clean and the service is good. It's the best Chinese resto for me. 128522

It's also near Enchanted Kingdom so if you happen to be at EK, you should try eating here. Hehe. 128077

Tried the Yang Chow Rice, Fish with Tofu, Hototay Soup, Pork Siomai and the Pork Spare Ribs. They were all good. The venue was modest and the prices were very affordable. Looks like this place will be my regular spot for stopovers in this area.

I always see this restaurant everytime I hatid my girlfriend from work or date. ("I hatid" sounds conyo hehe)

I asked her many times to try that and after the long wait and planning, we're able to try it here.

The place: It's like a normal cafeteria/canteen. Plain tables and chairs. Plain walls. No wow factor designs or anything. Even the menu us just normal paper. No pictures. But cleanliness is well admired. :)

The food: For me this is the best chinese food restaurant I've ever been! The moment we sat down, we are already served with complimentary jasmine tea and spicy wanton chips. We ordered crab and corn soup, dumpling platter, calamares, white chicken and yang chow fried rice. The crab and corn soup is very very good. Its not the usual crab n corn soup that uses artificial crab stick and canned corn kernels. The use real crab and fresh corn! You will notice that instead of red color for the crab bits, its brown and white (real color of the cooked crab meat). Dumpling platter is amazing! Consist of spring rolls, sharksfin, hakao, steamed meatball, and pork siomai. All is ver gooooood! The calamares, is a must try. Light battered, crsipy outside and almost creamy texture for the inside. It was perfectly cooked. Not like eating leather. I swear. Same with the white chicken and the yang chow, good flavors and cooked to perfection.

The staff: They are all friendly and accomodating. At first we're at a table for two but since our order is good for five, they asked us if we want to transfer to a bigger table so we can enjoy it more. They assisted us very well.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We love the food. We even ordered takeout of asado and bola bola siopao for my mom. She loved it too.

We will definitely go back for more!!!!

Food here is what I would describe as carinderia-style Chinese. It's affordable no wonder it has a following. But the interiors and the administration need serious work.
Airconditioning was bad! Really bad! The ac nearest us kept turning off by itself.
Service here is POOR! I think what contributes to the slowness is being understaffed. We ordered our food at 12nn give and take, and our food arrived at 12:40! I even had to follow up if we could be served the soup already while we wait for the rest. Didn't help that it was Sunday lunch and mother's day at that.

Food quality is what you'd get for a less expensive Chinese resto. Both the hototay soup and Pineapple and Chicken Fried Rice we're good enough. The Sizzling Beef Tenderloin Pepper while tender, was not peppery. Probably because they used whole pepper corns instead of crushed ones.128531

The Hot shrimp salad is the worst. I could taste a bit of the lansa ng shrimp. The coating was terrible. 128534

We only tried this out of curiosity since we've been passing it every time we are Manila-bound.
But out of our mostly nega experience, their Lemon Chicken is their saving grace. At P200 it's a steal!!! Didn't get to try their dimsum but it's not something i'd come back for!

Good Chinese food for a reasonable price. Very convenient, too, since it's near our place. Shrimp dumplings (hakaw) and beef brisket are recommendable!

For starter, for authentic chinese cuisine, must try the Duck, yang chow, sweet and sour pork, and last the crispy pata. Siopao and siomai was good also. Quiet location.

Yummy Chinese Food is what they offer. They are open 10am-10pm. Started with my ever favorite Hototay! yummmmmmmy... Ordered a couple of rice toppings meal, chopsuey and sweet and sour pork. Partnered by their super crispy Pata. Don't forget their jellyfish and century egg.

Got myself some Cold Shrimp Salad, which was perfect for dessert.

They've got some big servings which was awesome.

So for those who'd be going to EK, ho chai lai is just right across waltermart, beside Jollibee.
