After lunch at Project Pie,  i decided to have some sweets with Grams.  We crossed the street and went to Hobing.

This is the second time I visited this branch.  It is still as cramped as i remember.  I got the red bean variant cos red bean is love 10084

A couple of minutes after,  our bingsu is served.  I took a spoonful and I let out a sigh.  What happened Hobing?  The ice tastes like normal ice.  Where is the milky,  snowflake like ice i used to love?  I asked for some condensed milk to add sweetness but it is still not enough to salvage the bingsu.  After a couple of spoonfuls,  i waved the white flag.  On my way out,  i cant help but feel a lil sad because of the Hobing demise.

We were looking for a dessert place in Glorietta and came across Hobing. We like korean dessert so there were no second thoughts about it. The place was small and cramped, making it hard to pass through without bUmping into the chairs. We ordered their best seller - choco brownie bingsu. It was good, with the right combination of brownie, choco and almonds. We also tried their strawberry bingsu. Strawberries were fresh and yummy. Overall, their bingsu is good. Hope the place is a little more comfortable for clients wanting to relax and enjoy their dessert.

Due to my friend’s request, we went to Hobing for dessert. It was my first time to go here so I let my friends do the ordering. They got two flavors of bingsu - choco cookie and matcha. The matcha flavor was underwhelming. I only got to taste the flavor on top and it was mostly ice after. The choco cookie was almost the same. Good thing that it had flavored ice so it was more flavorful than the matcha bingsu.

The interiors looked fine but the tables and chairs were so cramped. To give you an idea, in just an arm’s length, I can already reach out to the table beside us. Maybe this is something they can look into, moving forward?

Had the matcha and caramel coffee. Both so, so, so good. I am such a dessert person so Im prolly being biased here but I do think that this place serves food that's value for money. I especially like how uniquely shaved the ice is, and the layers of matcha below the shavings. Will def be back.

I've been wanting to try Bingsu, and finally today I was able to!

Shared this Caramel Coffee Bingsu with Ig Plummer S (275php) for regular. We just got the regular since we're still full from that Raclette ala Patate.

I personally liked it, it wasn't so sweet yet flavorful. No wonder it's one of their bestsellers.

Space is a bit small, but service is fast.

2nd dessert for the day. Been wanting to try this new dessert from Korea so finally we did try Hobing in Glorietta. Ordered Caramel Coffee Bingsu (regular for P275). I liked that its not that sweet and the ice was finely shaved. With a generous amount of cashew, almond and hazelnut. Happy Eater!

This bingsu house is the bomb! First, you'd probably expect this to be sweet but nahhh (1 point!) Second, mango and cheese? Perfect combiii (2 points!) Third, place is sooo cozy and staff are friendly! (3!!) Fourth, this is perf for sharing! This particular mango and cheese bingsu for example.. I have 2 friends with me! Isn't that just friendly for the purse, too? (4!!) Finally, THE ICEEEE that they useeee. I can't stress this out but the reason why I don't buy ice cream and shakes all the time even though I want to is because my tonsilitis is sensitive. But this, IT MELTS AS SOON AS IT LANDS ON YOUR TONGUE! (5 FREAKIN POINTS!!!) I will definitely try all of the variations! ♡

I have so much time to kill,  i decided that bingsu is a good idea.  Good thing Hobing branched out in Glorietta.

This branch is about a fraction bigger than Mega.  Limited seats,  same design and interior, the only difference is that what's showing on the idiot box is not limited to K-Pop.  I saw JT and the chick who wears bunny ears.

No matcha variant here,  i guess they only offer it at the BGC Stopover branch.  I went with the cheese variant.

| Cheese Bingsu (regular size - php 195)

This is my least favourite as there is no cheese flavor.  The ice is finely shaved as expected but i had a hard time finding Cheese -  MIA...not under the table,  not in my pocket eithet and definitely not on my bowl.   There were hefty servings of the cheesecake cubes and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.   I guess a lil tweaking is in order,  change the ice cream to cheese perhaps?

Peace Out!

I got too excited when I accidentally saw Ho Bing at Glorietta4 branch since I only knew their BGC branch. Saw a poster outside that they have 20% off opening promo so I didnt hesitate to get inside. After paying out for my order, I asked if their 20% off is only for Strawberry Bingsu(since it was on the poster) but they said that they no longer had that promo and they had it only on their opening period(a month ago).

Gave 4 stars particularly for Choco Cookie Bingsu coz it was too sweet for me. Now I'm suffering from sore throat(seroiously) probably because I also had a venti size Mango jelly on SB 2hrs before 128514 So i never opted to choose fruit flavored (mango&strawberry) bingsu.
The ice is so amazing that it was very fine and it has flavored itself with chocolate and crushed cookies. It also has chocolate ice cream on top and cream.

Regular size is good enough to be shared by 2.

I would love to try their strawberry bingsu next time 128513

Sadly, I think this is all hype. :(
The Mango Bingsu tasted too artificial. I'd go to other dessert place for this price.
I can't rave about this place. Sorry.

First review! Not a surprise since this branch just opened 3 weeks ago and they're still on soft opening. We got a large Mango Cheese Bingsu. This dainty bowl of yellow goodness can be shared by 2 persons. I really liked it because it's not that sweet and I've never tasted shaved ice as fine as this one. Though I never really tasted much bingsu to fairly judge. I should probably try other Korean dessert cafes as well.
