I didn’t know that this place is much bigger than it looks, probably because it’s located at the far end corner of the second floor of Promenade. During our visit, the place wasn’t that packed (but not super empty either) since it wasn’t dinner hour yet. It took us some time to decide what ramen to order but I ended up with the usual Shoyu Ramen and Shio Ramen. I was kind of disappointed that their Shoyu ramen didn’t have tamago in it so I had to order/pay extra for it. The boyfriend ordered Shio Ramen and was surprised that his order didn’t have nori in it. Hence, I asked the server to put the nori on a separate plate so I can share it with him. Our orders arrived in less than 10 minutes after we placed it and they followed our instructions (nori). The Shoyu Ramen tasted the usual ramen and was just okay. I’m still pretty bummed that it didn’t have tamago in it. The boyfriend also ordered their Iced Tea. He got really intrigued seeing it from a nearby table. Their iced tea was a bit blended and happy to know that it had more flavor than ice on it.

Overall, it was really good. I just hope they look into their ramen ingredients and make it consistent.

Noodles were soggy, broth was watered-down, and service was very slow. The place is also dark, the chairs were torn, and the watercloset was smelly. This place needs to be refreshed.

Not really a fan of Japanese cuisine but the food was delicious and the place was amazing! You should definitely try one of their best sellers which is the Shio Ramen. From the name itself "Shio" it has this salty flavor. For those who aren't a fan of salt, I tell you, this dish was made to suit our Filipino palette. I also tried, their Pork Cutlets and Fried Chicken, it was also as tasty as their other dishes. This experience made me appreciate Japanese food. I'm pretty sure, you would as well! 10084

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka offers tasty, accessible ramen for which you don't have to brave an hour long to wait. Get the Santouka Set Menus for a great deal. This is one of my favorite ramen house! I cannot compare this to any other ramen.

I got the Santouka Set Menu D which have small Miso Ramen, Fried Salmon, and small fried rice bowl set for Php 490. The ramen's broth is wonderfully savory and not too oily. It was labeled as their best seller and signature flavor The noodles are probably a little harder than standard, but it works well. The Fried Salmon was not overcooked and will basically just fall apart in your mouth. It was succulent and tender, I enjoyed every last bit of it, while the bamboo had the right texture and sweetness. We also ordered Gyoza as appetizers and they did not disappoint!

To be honest its very pricey for a ramen. But it's actually worth the price! The place is real great, the restaurant itself is quiet and modern looking. The crews are very accommodating and the food is very delicious.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka on my top list of favorite ramen places here in Manila.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka remains to be one of my favorite and top choices when it comes to Japanese ramen.

Although the restaurant is extremely narrow, so I imagine it can only seat about 30 people inside. I'm pretty sure on a busy night it would be a struggle to move around because of the layout of the place.

Must try here are the kara-miso and shio ramen. Tender pork slices and mushrooms added texture to the ramen goodness. The soup base of the ramen is really full of flavour. The texture of the ramen is just right.

The thickly sliced piece of salmon tempura was crunchy and it did not have that malansa taste. This one is the real star of dish and not the breading.

Set meals are also available here. Set meals include small ramen, small rice bowl, choices of pork/prawn/chicken, salad, dessert and tea.

Always a pleasant experience and the food was authentic in flavor. I always enjoy the great ramen here. Have even been back since and it remains consistently good.

It has been a while since I last went to Greenhills. I went crazy with the great tiangge finds. I even thought of hoarding stuff for Christmas. But the tummy had another plan… to eat. And since F wanted ramen, we went to Hokkaido Ramen Santouka.

Hello, Hokkaido Ramen Santouka!

The place was packed with hungry diners when I arrived a bit past 1 p.m.. F and I had to wait for around 20 minutes before the server approached us if we’re okay with bar seats. Since we were hungry, we said yes.

I ordered a regular Shio Ramen (PHP345) with Komi-Tamago (PHP50) and Kurobuta Gyoza (PHP240) while F went for a bowl of Shoyu Ramen (PHP345). Service was quick as it took them less than 10 minutes to serve our food.

My ramen is one of the shop’s bestsellers and it had a slightly burnt taste to it. The broth is flavorful and a bit too oily, probably from the chasu which was tender and slightly sweet.

I loved munching the hard noodles and slurping the soup with the flavored boiled egg. Overall though, it was too flavorful. I couldn’t even finish my bowl.

The gyoza was a disappointment. The server said that the kurobuta gyoza is one of their bestsellers but the filling was too dry. I still prefer Kichitora’s gyoza.

Overall, it was just a so-so lunch. I had better ramen and gyoza. Actually, I ended up missing Kichitora and Ramen Nagi.

I didn't order anything coz my brother said he and dad will order the set menu and I can just get from them. Considering it's a late dinner meal plus I'm not particularly well so that sounds good.

Ramen noodles were good. Al dente or whatever it should be called but the noodles were really cut right. The tonkatsu though had a strip of fat and it wasn't too chewy in all the right places (I still have a bet for best tonkatsu chewy goodness). Tamago, who can go wrong with that? Yummy.

all in all it was nice dining experience.

Ramen Night last saturday!! Ohwell Hokkaido's perf for dinner! 128077 Especially this rainy season. Haha!! 128522

What we had during our stay were the following: Santouka Set Menu A which is the Small Ramen & Pork Cutlet & Small Rice Bowl Set in which we chose the Shoyu Ramen (Soy Sauce) that'll cost you Php 540. We also had their Santouka Set Menu H which is the Small Ramen & Mixed Furai Rice Bowl Set wherein we chose the Kara Miso Ramen (hot soybean paste) and that is for Php 560. Lastly, we also had a single/regulat serving of Char Siu Ramen which is their Shio (salt) flavor. 128513

All the set menu that we had was great coz it comes with 1 small ramen, 1 tsukemono, 1 salad, 1 dessert and one hot tea which I find not bad. 128522

In my personal opinion, if you're not a big eater I would suggest that one set menu would be enough or would be good for two pax already. Just sayin' based on our experience.

The ramen was too tasty that we even asked for hot water hahaha!! But its good especially The Kara Miso since it has this right amount of spiciness. At first I was too scared to try it coz I think it would be burning hot haha but luckily it was not it was tolerable tho. Since in my first visit I had their Shio so might as well give it a try and so I did. 128514

The Mixed Furai was great especially the Tempura all time fave!! 128077 It also has salmon and pork cutlet. But I must say that the pork cutlet was a bit dry for me still Yabu wins my heart when it comes to pork cutlets. 128513

Service and Ambience was great!! 128076

Tried this Toroniku-Pao @150 - Pork cheek meat with teriyaki sauce, it's supposed to be more tender but it wasn't 128529 it's basically just a glorified expensive cuapao. The Pao (bun) though soft when served became makunat to bite after 5 mins 128531 really disappointed with this one!

Japs food on a very hot afternoon! It's so great to have a set meal here in Hokkaido. Ramen is so perfect with tempura plus rice plus cabbage plus coleslaw plus everything. Im so certain that this ramen joint is one if not the best here in metro manila.
