I have been here a lot of times. It still has the 90's look and feel. The place is crying for renovation to bring it up to the times. The only consolation for me is the Rodizio on the 7th floor.

I was checked in at the original part. The numbering was bit confusing as some room numbers do not continue on. The plumbing were eerie as you can actually hear the water running inside it. Some rooms have no working aircon

The staff however, were accommodating.

Had our 3-day business conference here so I cannot really comment on the check in/out process and room rates.

It's an old hotel that badly needs renovation and refurbishments. Our room had a broken cabinet and window that would't slide to open. Carpeting needs cleaning and hallways need to be re designed in a way that it doesn't feel cramped and creepy (even during the day). Elevators were creaking. The pool area could use some re-designing as well.

Food was just okay. During the 3 days that we were there, I couldn't identify a certain dish that tickled my taste buds.

Service, however, was great and staff were very accommodating.

The villas are great for big families. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 room for your nanny/driver. It has a spacious living room and master bedroom. It also has a kitchen and dining area. You need to bring your own utensils and cooking materials since what they have is very limited.

Some items need replacement or cleaning though - like the aircon, hair dryer. Working but I think its a bit old and dirty already.

The pool is a bit far from the villas so you have to walk or ride a vehicle when going to the pool.

Stayed in Holiday Inn for a month and I felt at home. The place for me is complete because they provide me with everything i needed; baso, takore, plancha, kabayo, coffee, green tea, pati shaving kit. I also enjoyed the hotel's amenities; gym, pool, and a play area (darts, pingpong and billiards). Being a member of IHG, they offered complimentary drink and free wifi. The place needs some work though because the carpets need to be replaced

This is a 3-star hotel, therefore, I give it 3 stars.

The villas are still the same, except for a slight need for roof painting improvements.

The hotel rooms are well maintained. The walls were newly painted. The beds are really hotel-standard-comfy. For me a hotel is not really a hotel without the fluffy high standard bed and pillows. Without these, then it must be just a hostel. I give 5 stars for the bed and pillows!! It was so hard to get up in the morning!! They have 2 sets of pillows, the firm and the soft. I preferred the firm for hugging and the soft for the head.

The bathroom was also nice - not gorgeous with a capital G, but nice.

The spa was ok. It was by the poolside and designed like a modern kubo. Their therapists are well trained. I loved the "healing touch" so much that I had to extend my 90 minute massage and my sister fell asleep during her session. The ambience though could use a little improvement. Some redecorating is due. The smell of the place is excellent, they use Holiday Inn's signature ginger-lemon scent. However, I had to request for an oil burner to be put inside our massage room since it smelled rustic - probably because most guests prefer to get the massage in their own hotel rooms and so the spa rooms do not get used often.

The food from Mequeni restaurant and Copa's bar were also good! Price for both room service and ala carte dining are reasonable. Di nakakahinayang. Buffet was also ok. Copa's is their pub/bar which is also frequented by non-guests from outside. The music was great, 70s-80s. The ambience was perfect. It is obvious that among all their amenities, Copa's bar was the most well maintained. I loved the interiors - parang wala ako sa Pampanga! The bartenders are professionals, they have tricks and stunts, the guests are entertained. Not only that, the bartenders are nice and great to talk to. Some of them even had lots of stories to tell from their Vegas stint. On the walls were framed memorabilia of their frequent guests, mostly foreigners and members of the US navy from the old days. They all had big tobacco cigars in the pictures and they signed the frames. My favorite doodles are "Copas, thanks for the sauce!" And "Copa's - best bar in ASIA!"

The pool was ok BUT needed major improvement. The water was clean but you can see that the tiles have darkened a lot and you can tell that the pool is old.

The gym was big but had limited equipment due to maintenance. Although the supplements were complete - towels, mats, hot and cold water, plastic cups, tissue and paper towels, lockers, chairs, disinfectant and first aid. The game area is right outside too - billiards, pingpong, foosball and darts.

The staff.... They are all pleasant, friendly, courteous and attentive. And good looking too - a plus for establishments frequented by foreigners.

Our 2 night stay was excellent - but it was primarily because of the company of each other, the other things on the agenda like the Rex Smith concert, and the big discount we got! If not for those, we would not have come here because there's nothing else to see (and do) in Clark anymore.

About 10 or 15 years back, we were frequently staycationing in Mimosa with our cousins, titos and titas. We would come here every summer, sem break and whenever there was an occasion that called for a small gathering.

At that time, Clark and Subic were the only places where you could shop for PX goods! Of course now we have Cash and Carry, Greenhills and Instagram already for our PX fix!

At that time, there were lots of establishments, restaurants and outlet shops inside the freeport zone - shopping was a must.
Now it is like a huge piece of land without nothing much in it. There is just so much empty space which translates to so much investment opportunity - kind of like what Sta Rosa is now, with Nuvali, Solenad etc. Maybe in the next 5-10 years there will be more things to come here for. By then, the new stadium and football arena along NLEX would be up and running already too.

Other things to do:
- horseback riding (but sights would be boring, just trees and roads)
- zoo (for kids)
- motorbyke and car race track (dads and boys can watch IF there is a race scheduled)
- annual hot air balloon fest

The area where this hotel is situated is very relaxing. Seeing all the greens encompassing the building will give you that tranquilized feeling.

The inside of the hotel is not costly designed. Nothing to flashy but it's coziness will get every person's feet up and their rooms will definitely make you feel like a snugged bug in a rug!

If you find yourself taking a trip up North, don't forget to stay at the Holiday Inn Resort.

It's a splendid retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.

If its a convention location you're after. They have enough ballrooms to cater to 500-1000 PAX. Booking can be a little tough during summer so make sure to always have a timeframe to schedule events.

Another classic Holiday Inn venue complete with accommodating and friendly staff willing to go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and worry free.
