I didn't realize that this place was my first review on Looloo almost a year ago! I didn't do the pictures much justice (as I wasn't as particular back then) so hopefully this is better.

Since I've been back they've implemented new promos and "takaw-tingin" deterrents. Said deterrent is the P150 leftover charge, which I think is fair given that some of the folks that partake here just waste a lot of food they don't end up eating. The other, more positive, come on is the free Korean ice cream! Yes, from Melonas to Enchos and even the Chocolate fish sandwich is now part of the buffet! Although the last one I mentioned does get devoured pretty quickly.

On to the food - their choices for today mostly cater, sadly, to the Filipino palette. Sisig and Guinataang Calabasa just to name a few. I miss having more Korean fare.

The Kimchi here, for me, is the star. Not too salty, just a tad sweet, not overpowering spice level, and semi crunchy cabbage. With the addition of kinchay and leeks, it's easily my favorite rendition on this side of Subic.

I'm glad that they still have the grilled meat part of the buffet, but sadly chicken and beef are no longer available. They dropped it a few months ago. Only the sangyupsal is being offered. Sad.

We had a very filling lunch before heading back to the metro! Would I recommend Holly's? Yes. It's pretty hard to beat P299 that comes with a lot of offerings and dessert. I just wish they can revert back to having more Bulgogi, the Chicken and Beef BBQ, Haemulpageon, and other Koren dishes again.

Whenever I'm in Subic I always, and I mean always, make sure to pass by Hollys. Their buffet has been very consistent, namely their tempura and delicious kimchi, and fresh! I haven't found any other restaurant in the area that can beat their quality and price (P295++).

Be sure to say hi to their friendly owners as they are always around.

Will definitely be back again soon!

Buffet treat for php300++ (?). Food: nothing extra-ordinary but they say this is korean food. About 8dishes, veggie pizza, fruits, and veg salad are available. Place: average. Service: so-so. Try this once when you're in SBMA.
