From the entertaining security guard dancing when you park, to the speedy arrival of the food.

This place is one of my go-to's for some exquisite seafood? meats... And just about everything else. (except dessert)

If you happen to pass by the Roxas Boulevard (near Seaside) and looking for a Chinese fine dining restaurant, well this is the place. The place is huge. Even more spacious that they have a second floor for events.

Celebrated hubby's Birthday here (last October) with the family. This Cold cuts plate is really really good as an appetizer or as a Main dish paired with Yang Chow fried rice! Yummy!!!!
We also ordered Spinach with Garlic and they surprised my hubs with their dessert, Mango with Grahams and Cherry on top and a candle placed on a white plate decorated with Cucumber on the side...plus a very cheerful Happy Birthday song from the Staffs! 10084127864127880127882127881127873127874

Little known Chinese Resto tucked away in a dark section of Macapagal Blvd.

Prices are waaay cheaper than Legend and Golden Bay. But their food is so worth it.

Inset: Steamed Live Suahe: the best way to have live suahe. Plump and sweet in itself. Dip it in their XO sauce. Wow.

When my boss calls for a meeting/dinner, I never hesitate cause I know I'm in for a treat. 128523127860 From the outside, this place looked pretty shady given its shady location and shady interior. 128517

It's like the Legend Hong Kong Seafood restaurant at Buendia (but that one almost completely burned down. Ergo, the substitute). Overall, the experience was pretty good. We got the function room which was pretty neat.
The food was good. I loved their breaded shrimp127844128077 and yang chow fried rice. Dimsum soup was just perfect for the headache I was experiencing. 127858128077 Their house tea was so-so.

Chinese New Year dinner with the fam!

Highlights:
definitely order their pigeon dish!
Their chili crab though not authentic in flavor, is a fave of mine!
The suahe shrimp was so fresh that you could just pull the skin out with just a pull at the end of the tail. :)

So-so
The calamares was just ok.
The tao.si clams were yummy, but nothing special

Don't order
I was very disappointed with the blue marlin in the sizzling plate. It was so dry and the sauce was just boring for me.

Had a good time and a happy tummy! :))

The complimentary mango sago was a winner! I also loved the salt and pepper ampalaya. First time to try that one!

Also noticed other tables ordered soup in a pumpkin. How cute! Turned out that was Seafood Soup.

Plus points for the dancing security guard and giant beach umbrella to service its customers.

The good food. The great personal service. These are the reasons we come back to this place whenever we crave for Chinese food. The ambience is typical Chinese resto, if not a little tackier than usual and the restrooms need a serious renovation, but trust me, you will come back for the food! The Salt and Pepper beef ribs, the Hong Kong style prawns, Letchon kawali, fried pig intestines, the Chinese petchay in garlic sauce, fish lips soup, yang chow fried rice and mango sago for dessert are perennial family favourites. I've yet to try their congee which, I've heard, is a real tummy tickler as well... All the more reason to come back, I guess... Oh, and I forgot to mention their reasonable price!

Definitely my family's go to Chinese resto 128517
We go here almost weekly! 128524 And the reason? It's authentic Chinese cuisine.
128076 H.K. Prawn -who doesn't like fried prawns, tho the prawn became smaller, it still taste great and the serving is still the same, more pcs! Hehe
128525Cuttlefish cake -u wont regret trying this!
128525Salt & pepper spare ribs - it's fried! Nuff said
128076 Hakaw - one of the best steamed shrimp dumplings in the city 128513
128076 Fish lip soup - love it! it's traditional Chinese soup that's too tedious to cook at home.. Haha
128077 Hokkien fried rice - it's saucy!

And because we're regulars here, our menu's always in "open kitchen", therefore, not always on the menu 128517
127775Tip: ask Mary for recommendation
✅ Tiger fish hot pot
✅ Black bean scallops
✅ crabmeat omelette
✅ turtle soup..? Rarely available, only tried it once, taste like balot soup..? Haha! Not for the faint of heart 128513

My husband and I have different preferences and tastes when it comes to food. But when it comes to Chinese food, my husband and I agree on one place. We're talking about Hongkong Chef along Macapagal in Pasay.

We've eaten here countless times before. Whether it be Steamed Fish in Garlic, Sweet and Sour Pork, Beef With Broccoli, Fried Shrimps in Garlic, Birthday Noodles, Yang Chow Rice, dimsum or what-have-you -- none of the food items ended up being below our expectations. Everything tasted great and authentic! The servings are huge -- each one good for 3 people at least.

As for the service, the waiters are attentive and courteous. It seems that each one is not just assigned to serve one table. It's a team effort all along and they all do their bit. Our teapot was never empty! :-)

The only down side about this resto is the tacky interiors. Bright yellow and emerald green together? Really??!?? Even Jonathan Adler will have a hard time making those 2 colours work! :-) Never mind the decor. This place is for doing some serious eating! (And big burps afterwards!) :-)
