Makansutra, Singapore’s famous Hawker street food spot is now here to upgrade your gastronomic experience. It present itself a whole new concept of asian flavors in one place. It’s primarily a composition of Singaporean, Hong Kong, Chinese, Malay and Indian influences. In this hub you will also taste the similarities and the complimentary of the different cuisines.

Among the twelve in this location in Megamall, Hong Kong Street Old Chun Kee provides you the most variety by far. It’s menu is almost most unique and out of the ordinary. I have had the pleasure of trying appetizing Salted Egg Pork. It’s the savory combination that’s popular now and they did a superb job putting it together. They also have it in Crab and Shrimps.

The Cripsy Fried Honey Glazed Baby Squid impressed just the same with its crunchy texture and sweet taste. For a meal balance I also got Seafood Mixed Vegetable which was prepared deliciously. You can’t help but have more rice than usual as you have their flavor filled offerings.

My mom raves the Cereal Prawns and I feel bad I haven’t gotten back for it. Price range is on the high side but well justified with its freshness, preparation and authenticity.

Disappointed. Was looking forward to eating their Salted Egg Pork, I think they should change the name to buttered pork. Yang Zhou fried rice tasted like it was done yesterday and just reheated upon order. Or, maybe they just used low quality rice? For the price we paid, I think we deserve better.
