First off, the place was delightful to look at, and the place is comforting. I loved the Beef Kebab. There's nothing special about the rice, so I'll have to try their other rice mentioned here. Some negatives would be the aircon doesn't reach all spots, and we sat on a table that's sort of a "blindspot" where the waiters can't see us. Nonetheless, would definitely come back here for the food.

Peace and quiet indoors. A little expensive but still worth it. Tried the mega kebab platter, chicken curry, biryan rice, and hummus with pita bread - all good for 4-5 people.

My usual spot for hookah/shisha. It closes 2am and offers authentic shisha for those who want a past time alternative from smoking, drinking or clubbing. They also have 2 HD tv and they play really nice songs.

Everytime I crave for Hummus, I can only think of Hossein's.

There are two sections at this branch. The second floor is more for casual dining while the one downstairs is a hookah lounge.

I like how the place was designed. It really gives me the feel of eating somwhere in the middle east with all the beaming decors.

HUMMUS with Pita Bread

Unlike the Hummus I've tried from other restaurants, I like the creamy consistency of their Hummus. They don't use too much Olive Oil as well so it's less greasy. The Pita was baked really well. The layers are separated which allows the bread to open and form a pocket.

BEEF KEBAB KUBIDEH

Two sticks of grilled beef seasoned with Hossein's special blend. It was fresh from the grill and was served moderately hot and glowing. Nothing else goes well with Kebab except Biryani Rice.

LAMB KEBAB

I like Beef Kebab better than Lamb. They serve two juicy strips of charbroiled lamb with some lime because the meat is more greasy than beef. They just want to make sure customers don't get light-headed. 128516

MANGO LASSIE

Delicious yogurt drink!

Looking forward to my next visit! 128516

Have always visited, and dined at this veritable institution since the 80s. Oddly though, last night produced some quite bland results. Expected better. Hopefully, a next visit should redeem last night's (lack of?) quality?

Chelou Sultani Kebab from hossein's persiankebab.
Chelou kebab which is the national dish of Iran,is a meal consisting of kebab and saffroned basmati rice. Mine is a combination of beef koobideh and #shishkebab both char-grilled to perfection. I'd say this is the best persian food i've eaten so far. Definitely worth it! 127775127775127775127775127775 #sarap

Heaveeeeeeen!!! I was supposed to be doing laps but then Barack Obama comes and closes the Philippine Army for his visit. So coupled with the crazy traffic, I decided on dinner. I missed rice! I missed saffron rice! I missed Hossein's!!!! They have the softest rice and it is heaven. I usually get the chicken kebab split in two and take home the other half for lunch, but nooooooo! Traffic today left me hungry!! An hour to get to BGC from Makati and another hour to go back! Demmit!

Mwah mwah mwah mwah mwah mwah mwah!! I luuurve Hossein's.

This was my opportunity to try the tom yam goong, however, they had problems in the kitchen. I ordered the staples roti channai and chicken kebab this time with saffron rice. My friend ordered the vegetable samosas. Again, everything was good and filling!! Too bad about the tom yam. Instead we opted for strawberry shakes. This is the bomb!!! 128163 my friend agreed with me, too!

Now, i'm at work and really sleepy!! *yawwn*

Oh Hossein's no matter how hard you are on my wallet i still enjoy your chicken kebab, biryani rice and strawberry shake!!

Every time i come here, i tell myself to try something new. But i rarely eat here that i have to come and eat the food i love. That tom yum is still calling me so i should give it a try next time.

P.S. Since i'm eating for one, that's just half of my order. *buuuuusooog* i know what lunch'll be.

Been here several times and love it every time! Lamb curry is cooked very well and good for first-timers. Roti chennai is really good. Hossein's sampler plate is a good choice. Its on the pricey side of the spectrum though but well worth it!!! 128077128077128077

Tried Hossein's for the first time with friends, the only thing I know about the place is that it serves persian food and that it's crazy expensive. The restaurant looks like a fine dining version of Mr. Kabab. Interiors are elegant, dimmed lights, and acoustics are excellent (no loud music). So far so good! 128077

We were handed a very thick menu, what I didn't know was that they not only served Persian food, they also had Indian, Malaysian, etc. Their selection was huge. Since we were set on having kebabs we did exactly that!

For appetizers we ordered Hummus with 2pcs pita bread php250, this was good, but I preferred Arya's version better, Hossein's version might be healthier though since the chickpea taste is stronger compared to Arya's more buttery and creamy taste.

For our main we had Mix kebab1 php825 (photo) and Plain kabsa php220. Kabsa is long grain white rice with tomatoes, raisins, turmeric, and cinnamon (serving was good for 2-3), It has more of a curry taste with kick to it, absolutely loved it!

The Main event was of course the kebabs! This without exaggeration is the best kebabs I have ever tasted, I didn't have to drown my rice or kebabs in garlic sauce (what I normally do128516). I actually liked it better without the sauce (cept for the occasional chili sauce). The mix kebab came with chicken kebab, lamb shish, and lamb kebab. Everything tasted heavenly, but the lamb shish was my favorite, it tasted like mini steaks on a stick!

Hossein's is definitely not somewhere you would eat everyday, it's expensive yes, but you'll get what you pay for in quality and taste. I'll probably review their curry soon, I can only stuff myself so much. 128055
