My friend who loves fried food or anything bad health wise suggested we try this newest form of chicken. So I finally went for it.

It's flattened breast part of a locally made chicken. For Php 145 it's good value not just for its sheer size but also for its taste. Their best selling barbecue flavor had good flavor just a bit salty. The batter also easily separates.

I had their Original Large Fried Chicken and yes, it's really big! And with that, it is cheap yet delicious! Rice & Drink add on is cheap too, I think it's around 20-30 pesos. 128522

Have been waiting for this to open and I'm glad they opened one near my place, MOA was just too far for me, even for something that I'm really looking forward to.

I felt in love with giant fried chicken filets like this during my visit to Taiwan, in one of the stalls where you can get yummy street food,

I was happy to hear they are opening here, but like most international establishments that open locally, the challenge to meet the high standards of the original establishment is often high and risky, Plus the tendency to charge a lot without considering local cost of living.

But to my amazement, the giant fried chicken filet was very much up to par. I ordered the BBQ flavor one without the rice and drink and it cost 125 pesos, a bit pricey one would think but when you see the size of the serving (the pic above just shows just 1/3 of the entire piece)`, the price is very much worth it. In fact, it's almost like half a chicken and good for 2 people. The chicken fillet was thick, tender and juicy even if it was fried. The batter was light and crispy and the bbq flavor was just right, a bit on the sweet side which I love. They give you gravy too, like the kfc gravy, but for me, it's not a good combination at least for the bbq version.

I brought it home and the next day I put it in the oven for a few minutes and it was still fresh and crunchy. The meat still tender too.

I would go back again and get more next time.

For those who love fried chicken, this is a BIG hit and a must-try for sure!

For those who are not familiar with Hot Star, this might surprise you. As their name implies, they serve large-sized fried chicken. Looking at the menu, they only show partial part of the actual food. Once the order arrives, common reactions are "HOLY $^€%!! ang laki!", "Whoa!!" and "MYGHAADD!" (lol!). 128518

Their price-to-serving ratio is very reasonable. For Php145 that comes with rice and drink, it can sure make you say "ang mura ah". My image can't justify the size of the chicken, but let's just say that it's bigger than my Samsung Note 2.... yes, it's THAT big! They should be named Hot Star XL Fried Chicken, haha! 128513

Don't be fooled with the picture, though. As an advance warning, it is not chicken fillet. It's a clever version of a breaded chicken using the breast and thigh part (i think) laid flat to look like a breaded fillet. It can be misleading, but it clearly does not say "fillet" on the menu, so all is good. 128521

Perfect for those who are on budget as the size of the chicken can feed two people (who are not big eaters 9996️) just add extra rice and drink. I definitely recommend this to people who are chicken lovers, bang for the buck and definitely 1 rice is not enough, haha! 128514

Literally shocked when my order came! I know that Hot Star is known for their large servings but I didn't expect it to be this HUUUGE. 128514128514128514

Ordered the BBQ flavored chicken with Rice & Drinks coz I was really hungry due to the long lines that I endured in getting my NBI clearance in Galleria.

The serving is huge yet di covered lahat nung parang bbq sauce yung buong chicken. So I tried dipping it sa gravy nila, but epic fail 128557128557 Kasing bland nung chicken yung gravy hahaha.

For the price I paid (Php 160), sorry but I think I would prefer to eat in BonChon na lang 9996

A meal for only 145PHP? Yeah. It's like Serenitea's chicken chops only BIGGER! One cup of rice wasn't enough that enormous chicken. Best served with blue lemonade. 128153

the chicken was big, as in big. the breading was crunchy and sticky from the inside (like buchi) the taste was bland. all i can feel is the mild spicyness of the chili powder, it comes with a gravy and take note you can have your gravy refilled, but it is also bland 128560 we ordered for a larger chicken with rice and lemonade, their lemonade is blue. nothing special. it tastes like lemonade with lots of water. thats it. 128549

I love chicken! And so when I spotted this mini place at Robinson's Galleria food court I have no hesitation to try it. I ordered their Chicken Popcorn a.k.a Chicken Poppers. It costs me 93php for a single serving (drink not included. But you have an option to upgrade this popper together with rice and drink but you will need to pay an additional 20php or 30php, if Im not mistaken)

Taste:
**Yum: 4/5
**Crispiness: Good

If you've already tried the chicken chops of Chatime, they both have a similar taste. 128522

A must try! 128523

Like 10-12inches thin. All breast part.

It's fascinating kasi its big. Its like having an order of 2pcs chicken. (P110 + 35 rice&drink)

Taste was FINE.
Nothing spectacular.
Korean originally.

Sabi ng ksma ko masarap naman un gravy. 128563

I just find it strange at their food prep.

1 guy gets the packaged marinated chicken from the ref, transfers it to a big tub, he breads it, and he fries it. yes. he was the only one. and he does it without any gloves. so from prep to cook, no gloves. I find it unsanitary.

1 cook, 1 cashier, 1 packer, and 1 I don't know what he does.

after seeing that, I did not bother ordering anymore.

service is very slow too.

see the guy at the rear pic. he is the one I am pertaining to.
