Hotel Alejandro is located at the heart of Tacloban. We checked-in at a Superior deluxe room. When we entered our room, I noticed some insects flying. On thr other hand, they provide extra (folding) bed and not a cushion which is great. Overall, I had a nice time here in Alejandro's.

This is an ancestral home converted into a hotel. The exterior is very Malacanang-ish. When you get inside, you'll have a quick view of pre and post war days because of the interiors. There were lots of pictures of WWII on the wall.

I will never forget this hotel because of the creepy stories shared by our former branch manager. Too creepy I did not sleep for 24 hours during my 1st night. And I had to drink 3 bottles of beer just to knocked myself out.

Anyway, I'm just glad they were able to operate again after the Yolanda devastation. Not sure though if I'll stay there again.

The hotel's rooms are not the best in town, but hey, rooms are decent and clean. Their biggest come-on is the food! They serve the best food among hotels in the region: more tasteful and varied compared to the more expensive hotels (some hotels serve bland food, ugh!!). Their version of iced tea is one of its kind, comparable to iced teas of four or five star hotels in Manila.

The hotel's location is also very convenient. Pool place at the rooftop is tiny, but it is a nice place to relax at during the night (when it's windy but not raining).
