Yesterday we actually visited three hotels in Tagaytay City. Tagaytay have a colder weather like Baguio and it's only 2 1/2 hour from Manila.

Our first hotel is the Dominique Hotel. We attended my cousins christening. I loved there because the function room is nice and so wide space that carries 150 person, and the food was so good and delicious.

I noticed the hotel room it was so beautiful like there so many trees, flowers and many forms of gardening.

They have a big swimming pool there and a cottage. I loved the landscape if the road and the grass. I loved there because it's so lovely and nice.

I really got a good price for a superior room for valentine's day. However, we went in the room and there was a wet towel in the CR. The bidet and flush is troublesome. Shower wasn't working as well. So I was still okay since hey we did get a great offer. I don't want to be ungrateful.

But, breakfast in a hotel you shouldn't screw up. First thing we got in Pahimis, which is the restaurant, no one greeted us Good Morning. We were greeted by a loud TV, which is not something I notice in a breakfast. So I let that slide.

But again you don't screw up breakfast. One way to piss off a person. I ordered a set 2 ( tocino meal) my wife ordered set 4 which is a bread basket with butter and jam. I got my tocino and them my wife got a ham and cheese croissant. We weren't informed that the bread basket was not available. They should have informed us that they do not have the order and asked what we would like rather than forcing a ham and cheese croissant. I hated the fact that it's basic courtesy to inform and ask and they didn't even do that.

Now the pool, water is murky. I have to ask for maintenance to open the filter. They don't even clean the water with that screen type thing with the stick.

There is stagnant water and trash in this lagoon in between the restaurant and the pool. There is a Pepsi plastic bottle there too. Please see the picture.

I really hoped that I can talk to the manager about this. But no one seemed to be in control.

I believe that this place was once very good. It looks great! But the experience is subpar.

I'm thankful for the offer I got but I won't be coming back here. Simple solution to this: customer focus.

Hotel Dominique is a lovely respite from the city. I love how it's not just a standard building-type hotel, it feels more like you are inside a small village with uniformed houses. Their cabanas are cute and spacious (as seen in the photo). They also have duplex types. However, my family and I booked too late (on the same day we checked in) that we only got a deluxe room which was too small for us. It had two single beds and a small "living room". It's built for two and well... there were five of us. We managed to fit but it was in the low rise building where the smaller rooms are and we had to go up and down the 4th floor using the stairs. So lesson learned, book as early as possible so as not to get the worst rooms.

They have free breakfast but don't expect too much. The food was okay, nothing spectacular. The ambiance inside the restaurant is nice though. They have other amenities such as billiards hall, gym and a swimming pool.

The place is accessible. It's near the Rotunda. I guess the only thing missing about this place is the glorious view of Taal. If you want a nice view from your hotel room overlooking Taal, this isn't the place to check in. Not much to look at on this side of the road. But if you're all about comfort and convenience, then I'd recommend this place. We spent roughly Php 4k for a night. Not bad.

I loved their cabanas so much!!! perfect place for a surprise party! We held a bridal shower here for my officemate, and it was really fun! There's a feeling of isolation, like you own the place. They also have multipurpose function halls, and their service was really good! 128077128077128077

Anniversary getaway in Tagaytay? HD is one of the pleasant place to stay. I bought a deal in Agoda worth 2,600 for an overnight stay in a standard room + 2 complimentary breakfast. Not bad right?

The location is easy to find, it's just along the national highway. As my bf arrived at the hotel, the recep asked us to stay first at the resto and after few minutes, someone already approached us and led us to our room. It was spacious for the two of us. One of my special request as i made my booking on Agoda was to have a 1 huge bed. And as we arrived inside the room i noticed that they'll be giving us 2 twin beds. Anyway, the attendant had just merged the 2 beds and yey special request granted. I noticed that the bathroom was not quite appealing. It looked old. There was no complimentary water also.128528 We also noticed that the bedsheets smells like a dog. And that's eeeeww. 128541

My bf and i had a quick dip in the afternoon. The water was not too cold and we had fun playing on the pool. I love the surroundings. It's like a peaceful village surrounded by greens. (nature)

The complimentary breakfast was good. Both of us took the tapa. The atchara was so yummy! Tapa servings was big so we had to order extra garlic rice. Sadly, the only drink that comes with the compli breakfast was just a brewed coffee. How about the non-coffee drinkers? They should have other choices aside from coffee.

Our overall stay at the hotel was fine! The place was also nearby pink sisters, we went there by walking. Hehe! (Morning exercise!) What i liked most was the pool and the structure. Service was okay. Price was affordable. Just improve the amenities especially the bed sheets! 128528
