Hotel Kimberly will always be memorable but we did not enjoy our stay overall. We did have expectations because of the great reviews, but we ended up very disappointed.

First of all, the hotel is so far from the main road. So, so far; you feel it more at night. So if you decide to stay overnight, it really means that you will have to stay put. Personally, I hate hotels that are far from civilization, so to speak. I prefer ones that are near restaurants, supermarkets, or points of interest; at the very least, somewhere near transportation. If you do not have your own car, staying here is a bad idea.

We cheked in late at night and the girl at the front desk was rude. I don't like her tone and how her eyebrows were arching as she was speaking to us. She told us that they no longer have a king-sized bed available, even if we specifically requested for one. We even have the email to prove it. She said that they will just fix the double beds. We went to our room, without being offered any assistance whatsoever with our bags. We had to follow up on what they would do to "fix" the double bed. Someone came up to push the beds together. Seriously?! What a solution. Slow clap.

We noticed that everything, even the bottled water, is for sale. No slippers. Cheap toiletries. The bed was okay but not really comfy.

Breakfast at Cafe at K was the same-- disappointing. There were not that many choices available for Sunday brunch. I was looking for bacon and they didn't have it. I found the food bland and they really took their time refilling the near empty containers. Even for the fruits. I don't know if the food for lunch or dinner is better, but we did not bother to find out.

It was so difficult to call the staff's attention-- a little major pet peeve of mine. We asked for utensils several times, asked for coffee from different waiters, followed up our water numerous times. I am very picky about service and theirs failed in my book. On a Sunday morning, no less. It was not peak season when we stayed here and there was no event the night before. Not that I would think those are excuses for bad service.

They had a small pool near the restaurant. I do mean small. They have a pool table and a gym, which consisted of like 2 pieces of exercise equipment. Plus the game room and gym actually occupied the same space. Masabi lang na may gym. I didn't really notice anything else and we didn't bother to check out the rest of the place. Oh and btw, they did not have a view of Taal lake. I just felt like the whole place didn't merit the price tag.

At least the lobby had cute areas for pics... That and the many parking spaces, were the good points. I think you would be better off trying other hotels in the area. Taal Vista Hotel has a beautiful view and a great breakfast buffet, for example.

It's a good place to stay in Tagaytay for a stay-cation. 128516 Very accessible to a lot of the tourist spots in the city! Affordable for their spacious rooms! 128522128522128522

Wasn't able to explore the back part of the hotel because it was raining the whole 2-days we were there. But all in all, a good hotel experience! 128077128077128077

I just came back from a seminar at this hotel. The lobby was large but needs more renovations to make it interesting. The room I was billeted in was ok except for those overly bleached and hard towels, soap that can make your skin very dry, and the shower head that needs replacement. (Half of the shower head is so filled with calcium that the water can not pass through)
The food was not fantastic. The scrambled egg was so soggy, the garlic rice tasted like plain rice and the bread they were serving seemed to come from a local bakery. The amorsolo hall was ok except for the noisy, leaking air on.

Will I return there? Not on my list but sometimes my work will force me to return there. Oh well!

It's a really nice hotel here in Tagaytay. The rooms are really nice, beds are comfy, food ain't super super great but it's worth your money and the overall ambiance is really cozy and relaxing. :)

The hotel is just 5 years old and everything seems brand new. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Price was reasonable and not expensive.

We got two rooms which had two queen beds each. Bathroom was pristine and had hot water. Rooms are equipped with lcd tvs and dvds can be borrowed from the front desk.

They had a playground for the kids and a pool plus kiddie pool. Badminton court and function rooms are also available.

Gaming room which had darts, pool table, table tennis, and air hockey is the place to be if you have kids along with you.

They also have a farm with a petting zoo full of goats, rabbits, and turkeys.

Buffet breakfast was okay they had a wide range of choices to choose from.

Location does not have a view but the place is very quiet and peaceful compared to the hotels along the highway that does have a view.

Overall, I will definitely come back!

Clean, quiet, relaxing stay here

Been here a couple of times before for the following reasons:

➡ they have a swimming pool, playground, and indoor play area for the kids. The indoor play area was a big help coz when we went here it was raining and we couldn't go anywhere. At least the kids enjoyed playing here.

➡ room has 2 double/queen size beds which is perfect for family accommodation.

➡ beddings, towels, facilities, etc were all clean.

➡ we got our rooms on promo at that time. Around P3000 per night with 2 breakfast buffets. The food was ok. I don't remember complaining about it.

They offer promos throughout the year.

Service is friendly and fast in this hotel. Beddings are clean, linen and towels are clean. At least in the room we were billeted in, there wasn't a bath tub but the shower and toilet area were of decent space. There was running hot water 24/7 and there was even a farm with small animals like rabbits and ducks walking around.

My only concern was the food buffet. First off, the selections weren't great, 2-3 Viands at most and the taste was consistently bland. It was only the last day that there was a decent and good selection for breakfast (see pic). I'm still waiting how lunch will look like.

I don't particularly have a preference for 5-star lodging when we travel, but I am quite particular about hygiene - no creepy crawlies, flies or mosquitoes, and a very clean bathroom is a must.

Because we traveled with my 4 month-old this time, I appreciated this hotel a lot precisely because it was very clean. Beddings were well made with no weird stains, the floors were spick & span, and everything about the bathroom was A++. It didn't hurt that the standard room had a balcony, too, with a view of the pool & garden area, plus really adequate air conditioning & ventilation. Very nice customer service as well! I definitely won't hesitate to book this place again if we visit Tagaytay again.
