You can't leave Cebu without at least trying what they are known for: LECHON 128055128069

PLACE ➖11088️4/5
The restaurant was HUGE! It offers indoor and outdoor dining experiences. Since it was raining cats and dogs here, we asked to be seated inside. When you go in, you'll see a beautiful mixture of tiffany blue and warm colors. The place had high ceilings which made it look even bigger.

FOOD ➖11088️4/5
128055 LECHON - available in CARCAR SPECIAL and CLASSIC SPICY. The spicy lechon is more expensive than the regular one. You can order it according to the number of diners and appetite.
Since we were 5, we got 1/2kg of the CARCAR SPECIAL [360] and 1/4kg of the CLASSIC SPICY [P250]. I have reiterated the menu below and what I personally think are inside the ( ).
1/4kg - good for one (enough for 2)
1/2kg - good for 1-2 (enough for 2-4)
3/4kg - good for 3-4 (guessing good for 6)
1kg - good for 5-6 (maybe 8?)
To be honest, for 3/4kg ordered, there was a LOT of leftovers from 5 people. It was that much 128514
Anyway, I liked the CARCAR SPECIAL better than the Classic Spicy because it was more flavorful. Don't get me wrong, I love spicy foods but I don't think lechon is best eaten spicy. The lechon itself was good. Meat was very tender and flavorful but the skin wasn't so crispy anymore 128557 nonetheless, this gets 4 11088️ stars! Also, I think that the way the presented their lechon was so witty and cute. I loved how the plate was shaped like a pig's face 128055128149

🧀 BAKED SCALLOPS [P220] - 4/511088
For just P220, you get a generous serving of 15 pcs! I was surprised when the order arrived because I was sure it was only under P250. The scallop itself was tender and the flavors were good. Even though you can see that they are generous with their cheese, the margarine flavor shines through. But you can't complain with that price.

127808 BICOL EXPRESS [P140] -3/511088
This was on the average side. It's pure veggies but I actually don't mind. I love gata based dishes because I just love the taste 128149 But it could use a bit more of that gata flavor and bagoong. Though not bad. Plus it's cheap!

127834 We got their garlic rice. Yum yum! I liked how this was served using steel pots 128069

(On a side note, their condiments' containers are so cute! It's like you're making a science experiment🌡)

The overall experience was good. (There's no service charge btw and the servers were very kind) Considering that we were 5 and what we ate, the bill did not go over P1300. A great deal indeed 128077🏻 I recommend visiting in a group since the food are for sharing.

Why in ???
Cebu is one of the best lechon in the country. Ive tried 3 of the famous brand here in Cebu. But the mostlike is "House of Lechon".
Really nice lechon. Other food was good to but i was thinking of lechon every where. Meaning lechon sinigang, lechon sinugba, lechon kaldereta, etc.... Maybe the owner can rethink of the menu and maybe reinvent everything. But still nice place to eat lechon. But people say there's a lot of good lechon outside the city. Maybe next time ill find time to look for it. But if your in town try to have a good lechon in House of Lechon.

Unfortunately the House of Lechon is more like the House of Desserts. The Lechon in Carcar is way better than their Lechon. On a positive note though the other food items on their menus are delicious especially the desserts.

There is so much hype on lechon in this part of the country. The ambience is good and servers were attentive. The place looks modern and clean except for a big housefly that won't sit still. I found nothing extraordinary on their lechon except it was presented with a small serving of pork oil or whatever you call it that other lechon place don't come with.

First of all, the lechon is not the #1 best in cebu, but it's one of the best much like #2 place. Though their improving the taste of their lechon everytime i visit there. Eventhough it ranks #2 for me, this is my go to place when i have that irresistible lechon cravings. I mean this restaurant just doesn't have a great tastin lechon, they have a wide variety of YUMMY side & main dishes in their arsenal. You gotta try their monggos and garlicky squid balls, it will really please your palate.
Unlike other lechon joint, this place offers a clean and Comfortable place to dine with your companions without breakin the bank. I highly recommend this place, much more if your not from cebu & looking for an excellent place to grab those sinful lechon. P.S. Eat moderately hahaha - they literally give you a pot for the rice platter & miniature pot for a cup of rice 128517128076128076128076

My balikbayan Tita came over to visit last week and she wanted to eat lechon, a local delicacy in the city. K recommended this place, thinking that it was still a branch of Rico's.

So there we ate and tried a lechon that is good for 3-4 pax. The lechon (IMO) was a bit dry. The taste of the meat lacks seasoning, or should I say that it tasted bland plus it wasn't juicy at all. Lechon experience was 128533. We also ordered baked scallops (by far, the best I've had in the city) and tuna panga (it was also so-so for me, Lantaw's tuna panga tasted better)

Upon waiting for our bill, I happen to ask the waitress the name of the place and address. And she verified that the lechon came from Carcar and not in any way related to Rico's Lechon. No wonder the lechon tasted so different!

People dining in must have still thought it is Rico's establisment, that wouldn't come as a surprised because they used to be using the area.
