Celebrated my dad's birthday in their Greenhills branch. Luckily, Citibank is currently offering 50% off their set meal. You had a choice between having top sirloin or rib eye grade 9 220 grams - with soup, salad, dessert and coffee/tea/iced tea.

Per usual, the wagyu had that melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. But the 220 grams is really quite big for me so I shared my set with my sis in law.

Also ordered their cream pasta with mushroom. It was so delish and paired well with the wagyu.

Thanks to Citibank again! 128514

It was my first time here and the food did not disappoint! I had the Premium Rib-Eye Wagyu Grade 12 and my goodness, it couldn't be more delicious! Eating wagyu can be akin to spooning up melted butter. The flavour is a mouth-filling savouriness combined with a palate-coating richness and the texture of the beef is as tender as lightly cooked fish.

We had a variety of sides along with our steaks but the standout was definitely the Suisse Raclette. They serve the Raclette cheese with baby pickled cornichons and boiled baby potatoes. Fantastically tasty and delicious, and they really complement the grilled wagyu very well. I could have those baby pickled cornichons every day and not get tired of it.

Our server was very nice and attentive. I was very impressed by the presenters/bussing staff. Smooth, choreographed, and always with a smile. It was a wonderful overall experience and I hope to return soon.

TIP:

Hold back on cutting into your beef right away and let it hang out on your plate for a couple of minutes. If you cut into it right away, the liquid will actually pool out and your beautiful grilled wagyu will end up very dry. By letting it rest, the moisture is re-absorbed and your meat will be tender and juicy.

Cheers,
Mickey

This is actually a review for the one in Eastwood. It has been there for years already but it's not included here. anyway, I ordered my regular grade 6 rib eye which is how I prefer my steak, with some fat in it.

My companions ordered the A4 wagyu steak which I tasted and it was yuuuum! The beef literally melts in your mouth. Couldn't imagine finishing a whole serving though.

All in all I'm happy with my simple grade 6 rib eye 128523

The ambience is quiet and It's on a Friday. I really like that because you can have a real conversation and enjoy the food at the same time.

Food:
128073Rib Eye Grade 6 for two(Inclusion of soup of the day and Mashed Potato served with vegetables)
Price: 4.5
Quality: 5.0
Verdict: The steak was very tender, moist and juicy which is what I liked about it.

128073Seafood Alfredo
Price: 3.5
Quality: 4.0
Verdict: For the price, I think it's a bit rip-off for a pasta. Although, it's good. Not much sauce on it but the spices and overall mixture of the white sauce really blended very well.

Friendly staff. They were very attentive in serving water once you ran out. Their comfort room is also nice. They have mouth wash which is a great and unique idea.

The branch is at Eastwood(Not showing in Looloo, I don't know why).

A blessing in disguise, our grandmother wanted to treat us for dinner tonight, and what better way than to dine in House of Wagyu. Steak is by far my most favorite because of its intense flavors, and the fact that it can be just as healthy too! It was a great night indeed, ready for the weekend to come!

Food:
• Every Thursday, the restaurant has a 40% discount on selected items, which includes their ribeye and tenderloin. In our case, we had to choose the latter one due to it being a leaner cut. (Health Tip #1: Always order steaks with the word "loin" as this is usually a leaner cut of beef. Examples would be sirloin and tenderloin. Have them trim the fat off before cooking to further reduce the fat content.) The steak was served with a cream of mushroom soup and a side of mixed vegetables. When our steaks arrived, some of us already knew that they were old since when you cut into it, the meat ends up mushy. Nonetheless, I cooked mine a medium well, and it was fine. I added rock salt to give it more flavor, and boy did it work! There was no need to use gravy as the steak itself was already flavorful. Best to pair this with a Cabernet Sauvignon or some can even go lighter with a Pinot Noir. At the end of the day though, the menu was too expensive and it was really a shame that we were served old cuts of beef. What made up for it was the unique experience of cooking your own steak on a stone grill! Not really a place I will frequent.

Ambience:
• The restaurant had a nice wooden interior with a couple of paintings here and there. The lights were not dim enough for me, which would have made it a more romantic dining experience for some. I guess it would be understandable though as cooking your own steak with the fat/oil splattering from time to time is not really romantic.

Service:
• The people were nice and alert. They attend to you whenever you want to order or even whenever your glass is empty, they instantly refill it with water. Kudos! There were a couple of mistakes made by the staff though, but it wasn't that grave that it would ruin our dinner. :)

Overall:
• This is one of the restaurants that I would go to only once or twice in a year. The menu is just too expensive, and is not really an ideal place to date especially when there are other steak houses that serve cheaper yet quality cuts of beef.

I think anyone who ever get to try house of wagyu will give it 5 stars (no brainer) just for the steak alone.

Last week, we brought our uncle from the US to have lunch here. unfortunately he couldn't eat steak due to some health reasons. We didn't realize that until we were already seated so we couldn't switch restos anymore. Actually, only 2 of us got steak and everyone else got either pasta or seafood because of the same reason. I personally got their US ribeye. Steak was really tender and tasty. Price is quite expensive though but it definitely doesn't disappoint. I also tasted a little of the pasta (my sister's order) and I also loved it. 128077128077

For carnivores looking for some of the best places for steak in the Philippines, House of Wagyu Stone Grill in San Juan may be one of those havens for those who can afford the the price.

It starts with the interior that is very much similar to other upscale steak houses: comfortable chairs, roomy aisles, and a lot of eagerly hungry people. They have large paper mats on each table that they replace once a guest is done dining.

For the steak, there is a set selection depending on budget and appetite. served raw on top of a huge stone heated enough to cook the steak. Be careful not to touch the stone.

With wagyu being tender and well marbled, the fat getting cooked will flavor the steak with each and every slice. The beauty of having it cooked in the stone is you get to dictate the wellness of your steak.

This would be a good place to celebrate family gatherings where good wine paired with good steak is best shared with good company. There is a price to pay for such luxury, but an occasional treat out into fine food is always welcomed. 128536127860
