Forgot to take the picture of my great burger! Argh!
Had a very late dinner after work at around 1 am!
When u work in the food and beverage industry, you ask most cooks and the ideal dinner is either noodle soup or a kick ass burger ( with a cold beer ) I chose the later!
Howszat pub was perfect to fill the void in my hungry belly. I ordered the hungover burger which came with a delicious 300 gram burger, ham, egg and bacon. Delish! Not the best burger but good nevertheless!
Had it with done draft beer! Seriously... Life is good. Service was a little off. I sat at the bar and no one took my orders until I had to call the attention if the server. Normally in a pub, the bartender should attend yo you immediately once u sit down. The burger took 30 minutes to cook as well. Oh well... Whatever the offs that night. I still recommend this place. Cheers everyone!

It's my first time to watch a Liverpool match (& vs. a strong competitor like Manchester City) during a crucial stretch of the English / Barclays Premier League in a pub in Manila. It was either this or Skinny Mike's and this is what we chose today.

I invited my friends and colleagues to watch, enticing them with free imported beer. 127867127866127867 We found a winner with the Paulaner Dunkel dark beer. About P220 for a small mug I think (or was it P160), but it was soooo good. Patok sa ladies. Malakas sila so they must've had four to five each. 128513128522128539 Solid sa lakas!

I had about three Paulaners and drank about four other beers. Needless to say, I was good and sloshed by the end of the match which, luckily, Liverpool won 3-2. Tight game. Exciting match.

The place is huge! So many TV sets all over the place. You can smoke anywhere (which is a plus for my lady companions though it ain't for all if you're sensitive to cig smoke), and tins not the cleanest pub but it feels certainly authentic. Reminds me of a few pubs I've been to in the UK. Potentially rowdy. I also heard this is open 24/7. At 8-11pm on a Sun night, it was FULL!

There were only two downsides:

(1) poor service - the servers took 30 minutes to even clean my table. The DJ helped me out himself. He said since it was the day of the Pacquiao match, the usual servers took the day off. We were getting the, uhm, B Team. It wasn't pretty. -1 (I could have made it -3 if not for the "bawi" by the DJ and a waitress who, despite overwhelming odds, did decent service for us. Food took so long but they did warn us. 45 minutes for the chicken wings though the rest followed more quickly.

(2) my brand new ride was hit by a driver of a patron while parked outside! 128546128560128555128553128555 Oh the agony. The Abe defeat after the Liverpool win.

Food pahabol - the chicken wings were solid.

The beef Salpicao was suspect. It may have given me a bum stomach the next day. Or maybe it was the beer. Regardless, the beef Salpicao was not good. My friend ordered Hungarian sausage which was okay. Overall, food 3/5.

3 kinds of sliders. Bacon, Hawaiian & Chili. 2 each. Roughly around 50g each. Plus a bunch of fries ... Not bad for P375. Taste wise it was ok. It's all about the other ingredients not the patty though.

So after a meeting, our boss took us here to celebrate. We ordered one All Meat Pizza for all of us to share and Cranberry Juice for me. We were a bit pissed at first coz they made us wait for almost 45 mins. just for that order (they said there is a minor problem in the kitchen). However, when the pizza came, I guarantee you that it is WORTH THE WAIT. It is the BEST pizza I've ever tasted!! And it is only cheap! P400+ only for 8 big rectangular slices! They use the best cheese! One slice is enough to satisfy you. I can't wait to get back there and try other flavors. :)

Holy crap! They placed an energizer battery in out food and had the audacity to accuse us of putting it there ourselves. They refused to apologize and even expected us to PAY for food not prepared properly. Stay away!

this is the perfect place to sit back, watch your favorite game, drink beer and literally just to chill. the ambiance is quite good because its kind of secluded from the busy atmosphere of makati. food was good because of the big servings at reasonable cost. a lot of foreigners and sometimes famous local athlete go here. a lot of variety of alcoholic/non-alcoholic drink, both international and local. a very europian way to experience a sports bar.

I love Howzat! It's an Irish pub located in Burgos, Makati. Well, yeah, it's almost within the Red light district. They 'used to' serve Guinness On Tap! It was so much better than the bottled and the canned version. Seriously. However, the owner has kinda expanded his business and we were told that the 'Guinness On Tap' will be transferred to the Tunes Hotel (near Yoohoo Makati). Anyway, this place does not only have a lot of imported beers, they do have a lot of good food to serve as well! They go international.. Their burgers are huge, so goes the nachos.. And they have good pizzas too! The food serving is usually big, you might end up having a lot on your table. The ambiance is great, TVs everywhere, and people from diff nations! Despite having a lot of foreign customers, the place is not swarming with exotic girls. If you know what I mean. It is a decent place where you and your friends can have a good time, the (sorta) Irish way! Cheers!
