I find it weird that they don't allow you to take photos of the interiors or the food. When my sister started shooting with her phone, the server asked her what it was for. She politely informed us that their boss doesn't like their customers to do so. Pictures of us with the food was allowed so my sister took the attached photo. Truth be told, I couldn't resist taking sneaky photos but keeping those for my eyes only.

When we found out that we would be in the area, my sister asked a friend who lived nearby for recommendations. We ordered most of the stuff she suggested and were very happy and satisfied with what we had.

The Pork Chop Rice Meal consisted of Fried Pork Chop, Rice, 2 vegetable side dishes and a spicy pickled mystery thing. They were kind enough to offer to cut the pork chop. The spices used were very evident. It tasted like Shi Lin's Chicken Chop but way better. The Cauliflower side dish was flavorful. Amazed at how thinly they cut the lobster (?) ball. I've never seen beans so small and thin. They were crunchy, garlicky and tasty.

The Beef Noodle Soup came in a huge bowl. The noodles were thick and quite slippery. It was a struggle to transfer to our individual bowls. Beef was very tender but some parts had fat and litid. The broth was very Asian and soothing.

The Steamed Kutchay Dumplings were heavenly. The wrapper wasn't so thick and you could really feel the freshness. The slightly sweet, slightly sour, slightly salty dipping sauce went so well with the dumpling. It was pretty slippery and kept sliding from our chopsticks though.

They serve complimentary hot tea. There were several other drinks in their chiller but I was too chicken to try them as most were not in English.

The place isn't that big although turnover of tables were quick. There were several take out orders while we were there. Limited parking slots available. Service was quick and efficient.

Total damage for all of that food plus 2 drinks was around P650. The 3 of us were stuffed and had smiles on our faces.

I can't wait to bring hubby here as am sure he will appreciate the delicious Taiwanese food and lutong bahay feel of the place.

Some lovely hearted friends bring me some snacks... So funny here everyone brings me food of some sort when visiting ... Hehe... I'm just seriously thankful for my friends visits ... On a good days... It could be quite boring ... Bad days are simply a big struggle ...

I came to taste the taiwanese meal set from here with slightly soft humba looking meat... A little more softening would be great but cuts on the fatty side ... the savory flavor was there tho ... There's this scramble egg side dish with some kind of pickled radish that I enjoyed a lot plus the already cold green veggies was still very good & there were these little spicy pickled veggies that's spectacular... Very good to open ones appetite ... Basically I love the sides way better than the meaty main.. Haha.... Ask my friends if it's possible to just buy me the sides next time.... Haha... Thick skin me128541128584

For the dumplings ... It's very average... I preferred the steam dumpling but it's quite bland without the sauce ...tho lesser evil , as compared to the greasy fried version which might be more preferred by most for its more tastier & has a nice crunch to its skin I imagined.... But needed to be eaten right after serving ... Coz mine comes in a greasy plastic, soggy .... Simply unappetizing at all...128586128171

Had lunch here with office mates and ordered Pork Humba. You can choose from a variety of side dishes. I ordered hard boiled egg and black tofu. Similar to chinese hong ba or braised pork, taste was good but the liempo was not as soft and tender as I wanted it to be. This is the 10th restaurant In Banawe thatI have visited so far :)

I got the porkchop rice with two sides for P175 and shared a plate of kuchay dumpling (10 pcs. for P95.)

Porkchop tasted flavorful, but its not the same as Tasty's porkchop. It was fun to choose the sides that came with the meal. The sides were okay and not too special.

Dumplings were just okay. It was served in an ordinary plate and you could clearly see the oil building up.

Overall, it was an okay experience. I don't think Fu Chi will be my top of mind when it comes to dumplings, but if I drop by Banawe area, I wouldn't hesitate to try this restaurant again.

Whew! My 1st ever foodie review:-)
This is one place that my husband and I usually have our late merienda:) (mukhang early dinner:-)
We always order the following:-)
Dumplings- the best! Juicy and really yummy. You can have it either fried or steamed.
Cua pao- bun filled with meat , peanuts , kintsay ,and kiamchay . A must-try!:)
Beef noodles- tasty! The beef is tender as well as the noodles.
Aside from these, they also serve rice meal with 2 side dishes . And every order comes with a pot of hot tea.
We kept coming back to this place, we loved the food! And the staff are great!

We love eating at this place. It started out with their dumplings, but thus far (we've been going back constantly for the past three years), I have yet to encounter anything in this place that I don't like.

Must tries:
Scrambled egg with pickled radish
Fried fish
Tofu with egg
Beef brisket noodles
Shrimp dumplings
Kuchay dumplings

My favorite dish in Fu Chi dumplings!

Fried kuchay dumplings, dip it in garlic soy sauce and it's fried dumplings heaven! Dumplings have the right amount of meat and kuchay vegetables, almost minimum to none extenders/fillers too! Yum yum!

It was evening when we got to Banawe and I remember Chelle C did a review to this famous dumpling restaurant along Banawe Ave. so I got the chance and convince my mom to try it for dinner. The restaurant was full when we got there, thankfully we got a table for 3 people.

We ordered:
🔹Beef Noodles
Pretty good actually, the beef was tender except for the many Wansoy they put in the soup 127836

🔸Steam Dumpling
My eyes lit up when I took my first bite 128512
Dipping it in their sweet sauce is perfect! 128536

Tofu
🔹Also great, not so soft which is good. 128516

There's an incident that the waitress told me that picture taking of their food were not allowed, even though my mom is trying to defend me for being a blogger were still disappointed, so I took pictures sneakily.

I just hope they will realize that taking pictures will not reveal any of their secret ingredient. 128516

Verdict:
Place - 5
Environment - 5
Ambiance - 4
Service - 4
Taste - 5

No picture taking! That was what the waitress told us because the Taiwanese boss doesn't like people taking photos of their food, they fear that competitors would copy their food or recipe or whatnot. I was thinking- huh? Libre advertisement na nga kayo ayaw niyo pa hahaha and there's nothing special about the food that competitors need to take photos pa. It's just ordinary Chinese food and there's not much food presentation going on since this is a hole in the wall restaurant. But of course we complied to their house rules since they asked us nicely.

Or did we? 128541 We managed to grab some photos guerilla style.

I've been eating here since they first opened years back, I can still remember the smaller space they occupied, the ladyboss was doing all the cooking and the place was usually empty. I also remembered taking photos and chipping in a good word or two for them in my blog, people who read the post did go to their restaurant and became frequent customers so I guess my earlier photos helped them back in their struggling days.

Okay back to reviewing, I had my usual order of pork chop rice. This tastes and smells exactly like Taiwan porkchop. I like Taiwan style fried chicken better but they can't copy the exact taste I have tasted in Taiwan. This is a sulit meal for Php175. They also give you the liberty to choose two side dishes whichever viand is cooked for the day. The side dishes are not bad, the serving is big and the flavor and quality is at par with the main dish. They also won't scrimp on your rice. It's either high quality Taiwanese rice or Japanese rice. Taiwanese rice almost has the same texture and consistency as Japanese rice so sometimes I can't distinguish between the two.

Try to go there early as parking is scarce. Oh and they don't open during Sundays and when the bosses are on a vacation. I'm not kidding!
