The interiors are fantastic. It feels so posh in here. Prices reflect the decor.

Was only able to try the desserts. The spices are really out there. Serving size is a bit small.

The interiors were truly inviting! This made me consider dining here after having a short tour inside a month ago. It was in my first stop list when visiting newest mall in the South, S Maison. Huma offers Mediterranean, its ambiance resembles a feel as if you are not in the Philippines.

Sadly though this experience was not as pleasing overall. The most important element which is food failed us one dish after another. I forgot to take photos of two of them, their Kalamare Ala Flasha (Grilled Squid) and Shawarma Laham (Beef Shawarma). The former was just cooked out of line, it was over cooked in most parts which caused it to be either gummy or tough. My friend even had a lock jaw because of it. The latter’s meat was too thin and not tender. It’s side fries seemed to be re fried many times over.

The only dish that we both liked was surprisingly my experimental order, Sawded Dajaj (Fried Chicken Liver). It’s texture had a bit of bite on the outside while its inside had a good mash. It was also seasoned well with pomegranate, lemon and other spices.

A default order of Hummus, my favorite Mediterranean starter was just alright. It was creamy but lacked taste. It also had too much olive oil.

We went to S'Maison for a Mediterranean cuisine. And we saw Huma Mediterranean.

THE PLACE

The place is very inviting with its beautiful interior. According to the staff the decorations are made in Kuwait. Aside from the gorgeous and spacious design of the restaurant, I was also fascinated with view of Manila Bay, especially during the sunset. It's very romantic.

THE FOOD

All the food were inspired by the owner's mother with a touch of Lebanese flavor.

THE SERVICE

I think they need more to be attentive because Huma Mediterranean is big. Sometimes the staff are not around, we need to go to the counter or kitchen area to find them.

First real review after a week of inactivity!! Yep, I got really lazy that I didn't even post backlogs aaahhh ;;

Anyway, since we came to have dinner at Huma last night, I think it's finally time to write again. ☆

We've passed Huma like, all the time when we go to S Maison, but it's the first time we tried it out as there were a lot of people in other restaurants and we didn't want to wait to be seated and it seems like Huma has vacant seats. That, and easy seating + we were meaning to try it out anyway, so we went in.

We got their...
- chicken soup - my brother seemed to like it as he finished it all.
- shrimp with biryani rice - it was alright, though maybe a bit oily - I think but I didn't taste it so... This was served later than we would've liked as they punched in the wrong order at first. ;_;
-sawded dajaj - chicken liver. otl I thought this was beef so ended up trying it. cri.
-shawarma laham - not really anything special tbh
-calzone spag - my order. needless to say, I liked it verrrry much.
-baklawa - I've been craving for baklawa and finally. craving satisfied!!

Except for the mix-up, service was good. We did have to wait for what felt like an eternity for our food tho. And the quality of the food? It was good, but as it came with a hefty price tag I expected more from it. Anyway, at least they have wifi lolol.

We've known about this restaurant for quite some time now but wasn't eager to try it since I'm not really into Mediterranean cuisine (haven't tried it, actually) and we found it too pricey. But then we had no other options (running out of options, rather) so we finally gave in.

We were so excited since we've seen photos of the restaurant and fell in love with it (you'll see).

We arrived the restaurant, went in and chose our spot. We were amazed that there is a veranda outside with the view of the sea! The place is huge! Compared to all other restaurants in S Maison? This is really huge. There weren't a lot of customers that time (I think only 3-4 tables, including us).

We ordered the hummus, the supreme tabliyah and the kafta banadoura.

Hummus P180
My first ever hummus! It was served with their bread. I found this weird. It had a little spice and a little sour taste, but it was bland in its entirety. (Although my friends told me that it's supposed to be like that).

Supreme Tabliyah P650
The Lebanese pizza. I liked this one. It was beef and chicken shawarma on top of a pizza dough and then you can put some dressing on top. I liked the combination of the flavors. It worked for me.

Kafta Banadoura P620
This was just some meatballs topped with thinly, mojo-like-sliced (but not how mojo tastes like and how it was cooked) potatoes and tomatoes. This came with a plate of basmati rice. I liked the meatballs since these were flavorful, but not the basmati rice. It tasted old for me 128514 Although I think that's really the taste of basmati rice.

Service was good. Servers were friendly and attentive. Pricing isn't cheap. Some of the items on their physical menu were even more expensive than the menu we found online. Serving size was normal. It wasn't a lot and not little, although it's most likely to be few than plenty 128514

What I was most amused about this place is the ambiance 128525 Also, as mentioned, portions weren't that big yet we felt so full after our meal (we didn't even finish our pizza).

There was no service charge as well. Total bill we paid was P1,450 and there were 3 of us. I guess this is a place for those who are really willing to spend, or for those who are celebrating special occasions.

There's always a first time for everything, and I'm glad I got to try this one. Although I admit that I'm still not a fan of Mediterranean cuisine, I think I'm going to keep trying out Mediterranean dishes to really appreciate its unique taste.

We ordered Hummus for Starters, Mixed Grilled Platter and Lamb with Basmati Rice and Baklawa.

The hummus was light and really different from the ones I tasted before.

Mixed Grilled Platter consisted of beef, chicken, lamb and kebab. Due to diet restrictions, I only tasted small bites of beef and kebab but they were really good! I can tell that the meat used was quality meat and they were cooked perfectly. I esp loooved the Chicken one not just because I can only eat that but because it was really good too! The meat was soft and tender and had that perfect char flavour. Already missing this dish and I wanna go back soon 128523128523128523

Lamb with Basmati Rice had the perfect spice to it, also good but I prefer just having the plain one next time that comes with the grilled plates 128077🏻

The Baklawa was interesting and had a flowery flavour to it!

Service was good and the waiters were attentive.

Dinner was mediterranean cuisine. Ordered Hummus, chickpeas, tahini, lemon, olive oil mixed together, php 180..Moussakka, consist of fried aubergine, chickpeas, tomatoes, onion, garlic and Lebanese spices php 180. . Very tasty and not very spicy..main meal was Kraidis, pan fried shrimps, olive oil, garlic, crushed chili, lemon, and Lebanese spices, this dish is a bit spicy, but taste good php 550..Lahm Mashwi, this is grilled beef tenderloin, Lebanese spices, salt, and olive oil. Beef was tender, juicy. Php 485 . The main dish come with fragrant, long grain basmati rice, which was very tasty by itself..To finish the meal was the Baklawa, layers of filo filled with mixed nuts and honey. Php215 for 3 tiny pieces.. The resto exudes with mediterranean/ arabic decorations, nice decorative colored lamps hang fron the ceiling. The facade of the resto will remind you of Arabia. Staff were kind, helpful.

After Uma Uma, Chibo Chibo, next was Huma Huma.128517

This might be the most elegant place in S Maison. The interior was superb! It was like being transported to a majestic palace. The mediterranean design will really give you a feel like you are king and queens.

Sadly we were already from our two stop so we just try out some of their dessert. I'm not familiar with mediterranean dessert but what we tried tasted good for me. They weren't so sweet just the way I like it. My fave was the shaibyat!

Overall definitely will comeback or wait for their SM BF branch to open to try out their dishes. They look so appetizing on the menu.128522

I like the chic and elegant interior of Huma. It feels like you're in other country.. Those classy and colorful lighting fixture suspended from its ceiling, the classic yet sophisticated furnitures and those stylish table setting! Whoah! So mesmerized by the look of the restaurant!

Foodwise, if you're looking for a different and unique taste, why not try Huma! I assure you, you'll definitely fall in love with its cool and nice ambience! By the way, nice to bring a date with you! 128145128107128143

After Uma Uma! and Chibo Okonomiyaki. Jayson and I were the first to go Huma Mediterrenean Cuisine, while the others were settling the bills at Chibo.

I was fascinated with the amazing and vibrant interior of the place. "Parang wala ka sa Pinas!"

When they arrived, we got all the 4 desserts, unluckily only 3 were available.

Before we went to the real attraction at Conrad (uma uma) Dennis O (hooray ambassador narin siya!) and Elaine O and i saw this very beautiful interior of this Mediterranean restaurant. We initially looked at the menu and decided to have this place for desserts later.

We hurriedly came here after our short course at chibo, in which EJ B and i called out for all of their desserts (since there were only four) Christina R also had a chance to talk with some staff we learned that this restaurant initially came from kuwait. The couple (kuwaiti and lebanese) who started this soon opened a branch at Palawan. We learned that the branch at palawan is also a spa and island resort. This is their first branch in luzon and will soon open in various SM malls.

Three pieces per order. This is filo or phyllo dough with crushed pistachios, butter and honey. A very simple mediterranean dessert. It's not so sweet. Even the honey is not so sweet.

The jelly is like panna cotta, the play of pistachio texture with the jelly is good. Nothing special, i prefer this one served a little colder to refresh palate after meal.

Interior inside and out is gorgeous. Super east asia feels. There's a Separate CR for male and female. No wifi yet daw pero soon magkakaroon rin daw, as of now use SM's free 60mins wifi. There's power outlet only near the 8th picture wall heehee. Comfort here is 128525

Basically the desserts here are monotonous. Not so much exciting it just plays with phyllo, pistachio and dairy. The mains were quite familiar rin so i doubt if we could go back here next time.9786
