It feel so surprising when you knew that there’s a good coffee place serving nice coffee in Cubao, Quezon City and they called it Hustle Cafe.

Hustle Cafe is a small coffee shop occupying one of the container van houses turned into offices in 10th Ave, Murphy, Cubao, Quezon City. It’s a garden style set-up with few tables surrounded by plants and wall mosaic. Yes, they have spacious parking, we parked the car easily.

We had some Chicken Poppers paired with Cafe Latte.

I agree that they specializes and serve nice coffee. I can drink my latte without adding sugar. It has a balance temperature also without burning my tongue on my first sip.

They need to improve the tenderness of the chicken, though both chicken has a nice flavor.

They also need to provide a fan outside. The place tends to be hot when sunny.

Opened recently this year, i guess by reading the previous review, you guys have an idea that this store opened for a cause. The proceeds will be given to less fortunate kids to support their studies.

Also from the previous review also, we already know that they get their beans from EDSA beverage— that explains their good tasting dark matter theory

Yup. That’s what i ordered. It was already 8pm and i just did not care at the moment if i will not be able to sleep that night. I just want to try that DMT. It was a pleasant sip on a damp night. Latte art? Yes, it was skillfully made.

I asked the barista if there are any other beans that they source out from EDSA like the purple haze, unfortunately, no more. They also have the sagada beans which i did not try.

You could actually choose either rice or burger. The chicken was tender and juicy, but the edges were dry. Anyway, the coleslaw on top of it was good. I liked the purple cabbage taste. The buns were not that good as compared to the others, nonetheless it was okay.

The store opens 3pm which is a boo boo. I would be happy to go here in the morning with the matching morning sunlight. The cafe could also accommodate a few customers— like less than 10 pax. Oh, if you’re that intuitive and curious, try to find the pair of power outlets.

Ambience here is so outdoor. There’s no air-conditioning here, so i just advise you to visit on a cool day or night. Not advisable when it’s raining. There are 3 parking spaces which is amazing for a small cafe like this (maybe because those parking are really meant for the office occupants just beside the cafe). Restroom is over at the back.

I paid PhP300 for my meal, apologies i do not remember the exact price of each.
Overall, it’s a good place if the weather is right.

The coffee hunter in me crossed out again another coffee shop on my list. This time its Hustle Cafe. Located in Cubao. Place is quite away from the Cubao busy area. It is located a walk away from SM Cubao. Around 5-10minutes walk. It is along 10th ave. Easiest way to spot the street is the Robinsons Supermarket.

Hustle Cafe is an open space cafe. With lovely artsy design to it. Love how they transformed this container van into a wok of art. The color combination of tortoise green, white and gray was eye pleasing and got a relaxing feel to it. The place is also co-located to a co-working space (Racket Room). So for those planning to have coffee and work they can go inside racket room and just order at Hustle Cafe.

For their coffee they've got Sagada beans and for a more kick the ever popular Dark Matter Theory beans. I got the DMT Flat white and the barista John Jender gave justice to the bean. Perfect and well balance. For the food we got the Salted Egg Chicken Poppers and Club Sandwhich. The salted egg chicken popper is a must try. Simot sarap yun sauce. The club sandwhich was equally good. Love it and the price range was 120-160PHP not bad.

While eating we got to chit chat with the friendly barista. We learned that Hustle Cafe is more than business. The owner help out of school youth. Like John Jender they helped him to become a barista by training him in Yardstick and EDSA BDG. Amazing! Now this made me appreciate this place.

Overall I love everything about this cafe. From its amazingly good coffee, delicious snacks and the best part friendly baristas. Will be coming back to try their cold brew coffee soda soon!128522128076

Hustle Café started out as a fundraising project to help in the training of street children in the food & beverage industry by selling bottled cold brew coffee. Now, they have opened their own place located in 9th Ave., Cubao.

Their shop is in a shipping container and has an open-space dining area. They serve affordable comfort food and kick-ass coffee. One can choose from Sagada coffee beans or Dark Matter Theory.

We ordered the following:

9749️ Iced Latte (Sagada Beans)
Strong and has a roasted flavor with slight notes of chocolate as aftertaste. I liked the fact that they didn't add sugar unless you ask for it. That way, you can control the sweetness of your coffee.

9749️ Salted Egg Chicken Poppers
The salted egg craze isn't going away any time soon. Loved these babies! Crispy and very tender. And the nice thing is the generous amount of salted egg sauce.

9749️ Cereal French Toast
Sweet, crunchy and lovely french toast with a twist. It's coated in cereal bits then fried and drizzled with chocolate sauce, with whipped cream and strawberries on the side.

Make sure to add them to your list of cafés on your next coffee crawl! ♥️
