It was on a Thursday night when me and my friend wanted to have a good dinner. Except for the fact that we cannot beat the EDSA traffic that's why we decided not to push our Taytay tiangge escapade. So our hungry stomach brought us to Timog.

We had dinner at Hwaroro Korean BBQ Buffet. I am a first timer with this. I am also not a buffet person that's why I don't fancy a place like this. Not until that night came that I was starving. Haha!

We got there around 9:30 in the evening. The place was almost full. It was like an old house turned into restaurant that has many tables and in fairness, the place was not smokey, has wide isles, and very spacious.

The buffet table where the foods are, were almost emptied. Seems like they are just about to refill everything when we arrived. So instead of hurrying, we just looked for a spot where we can easily get what we want. And we just had a table approximately 5 steps from the buffet table. 128521

Since I am new with these, my friend accompanied me on getting what we could have. Of course, the first thing we got was:

Pork strips - this has a thick slice
Beef slice - this is a little thinner than those of the pork.
Lettuce
Sausages
Veggies
Nuts
Dilis
Egg
Sashimi
Fried chicken
Fruits
Gelatin
Kimchi!!!

And a lot more..

When we got back on our table, the grill pan was already prepared. The service crew gave us a pitcher of water. Then it is cooking time! 128523128516

I really enjoyed the cooking portion. The pork and beef was not yet seasoned. So we just add salt and pepper before frying it. I loved the texture when it was cooked on a crispy way.

I also tried to fry the string beans, and it was so delicious! We even grilled the kimchi and I liked it more that way.

There was even plain rice and fried rice (haven't tried it cause I don't feel of eating such kasi mabilis makabusog.) coffee is also there

They also offer soju, and soft drinks for a separate cost.

I enjoooooyed the gummy lips and cola, and the oranges! Ito nga yata yung pinunta ko dito.128517

There is no time limit! We stayed there for 4 hours!! 128526

When we checked out, we paid 399.00 per head. I think it is way cheaper than the other Korean Grill I see on Social Media. Plus point here is that for 399.00 you can already have pork and beef (and fried chicken) 128522

Ps: on the entrance of the restaurant there was a small "stage" with a Korean castle backdrop. Then you can use their Hanbuk dress for free and take a picture, the Korean style. 128521

Hindi na justify yung 399php ko. Walang lettuce, walang rice, dalawang klaseng raw meat, dalawang klaseng sausage, malamig yung food. Tapos ang tagal magrefill. Hayyyy smh

First time in QC! 128522 The price of 399 per person for the buffet is worth it. Because it is not all for the pork samgupsal! 128150 There are also rice / desserts / so maaaaany side dishes to choose from. 128525 As for the drinks, there is an additional 50 pesos, but we think water is enough. 128513 Also, approachable staffs! 128077🏻

Just had Korean food the other day at Malate but we were at the Timog area so decided to try out HwaRoRo which has been there ever since I've been passing through Tobias.

There is parking in front of the resto and you can also park along the street. They have a guard who can assist you since it's also a busy road.

Ground floor has a room as well but I guess that's just for extra space when their reception and buffet area is on the 2nd floor. The place is quite huge... and chaotic. They have a 3rd floor (that can pass off as mezzanine) for more seats and that's where the restrooms are located, too.

Food. They have more extensive meat selection and their gulay (including kimchi) are kept cool by their freezer (it won't freeze don't worry, since a lot of folks are opening the freezer anyway) preventing possible flies to touch your food. The prepared food was ewan. They had the rolls which is fine, they have breaded fish fillet, potatoes, and 2 more viands. Selection is not extensive but worst part is that they are slooooooooow to refill the food. A lot of us are standing there with empty plates, waiting for the stars of the show to arrive.

The place was maasim and I'm pretty sure it's not me because I just took a bath before going there. The place looks like it has seen better days but for some reason, a lot of people still flock to this Korean grill. Service is bad but you can see the ates are trying naman but maaaan. Magiging close kayo ng next sa pila kasi you'll always ask, "may pila ba? may receptionist ba? di ko rin alam."

Payment is only cash basis and it's plastered on the room on the ground floor. No issue with that.

Will I return here or even recommend this to people I know? Nerps.

I have visited this place for 3x, my last was years back. Was invited for a bday lunch yest.

Ako pa lead dahil alam ko naman ang place.

Things have not changed. No improvement nag deteriorate pa. Promise pag labas mo may take out ka na amoy ulam ka na.

The rest room walang improvement naging worst pa.

Food : same pa din. Walang bago.

Hope they improve dahil sa dami na ng competition.

Eat-all-you-can Korean buffet for a good price.(399php for dinner from Friday to Sunday)
It has a nice selection of meat (beef strips, marinated liempo, sliced beef, marinated chicken, fish fillet, among others). Recommended if your craving for Korean food. It's definitely a bang for the buck! :)

They have a weak airconditioning though. Good thing is you can request for a fan :p

Unlimited beef! 128525 pretty good price of 399/ head for dinner!

I love their fat beef! But you have to be alert when the management refills, this is the first platter that empties.
The appetizers are all unlimited- egg roll, dumplings, etc. They also have beef bulgogi on their buffet table. I also like the soybean soup.

There's a marinated pork steak like meat on the cold section that tasted well!

You make your own sauces. They have this soy sauce with onions and chili I think - 128077

Fruit desserts are also available. Pineapple and watermelon.

When I dine here, I just feed on the beef!!! 10084

Korean buffet for Php399 per person.
Banchan were so so.
Korean fried chicken(not bonchon-ish) and regular fried chicken were included.
Six types of unlimited marinated and non marinated pork and beef for grilling. Bang for the buck for meat lovers out there.
Melona was priced Php35ish, i think.
Ventilation needs to be improved.
Would definitely come back.128077
