Yesterday, we gave Hybrid Project 5 stars, and today we came back for seconds!

For today, we had the Bulalong Puti, Baby Back Ribs, Baked Penne, and more Bibingka Cheesecake.

Bulalong Puti -128077🏽128077🏽128077🏽 think bulalo with a sopas base.

Baby back ribs -128077🏽128077🏽128077🏽 we came in at 2:30 or so, so I'm not really surprised that this was a bit cold when it was served, but after heating a bit more, it was great. Melt in your mouth goodness.

I didn't try the penne or borger again, but again, the fam said they were good too.

As expected, all the mainstream restos are packed for Mother's Day. We decided to try an interesting-looking place on President's avenue called Hybrid Project: Modern, Filipino Cuisine. It looked promising, even if there were no customers when we came in.

According to the guy who served us, they're usually busier during weekdays for the working crowd in the area, but their menu was definitely interesting. We decided to go for the Crispy Pork Kare-Kare (a combination of two of my wife's favorite dishes), Chicken wings-Sweet Asian blend, bullock steak, and The Borger.

Crispy Pork Kare Kare - 128077🏽128077🏽128077🏽 initially, my wife was a bit disappointed that it was a sweet blend (think peanut butter), but it grew on us. By the end of the meal, we liked it quite a bit. The pork was mildly crispy without being hard, so it's really a step-up from the traditional Kare-Kare.

Bulalo steak - 128077🏽128077🏽. Ok, but a bit thin for a steak-eater like me.

Chicken wings, sweet Asian style - 128077🏽128077🏽128077🏽this is their take on Bon-chon's chicken. I like this better than Bon-chon's.

The Borger -128077🏽128077🏽 not your traditional beef burger, I think it was more like a chorizo burger.

They even gave us complimentary cheesecake. 128077🏽128077🏽128077🏽. Real baked cheesecake, yum.

I'm not an iced-tea guy, but my family liked the iced teas here. Lots of foam, so there's not really much per serving, but they were nice. 128077🏽128077🏽128077🏽

Ambience was great, and our server was actually one one of the young chefs (brother-owners?) since they were short today.

This is one place we intend to come back to. 128079🏾128079🏾128079🏾

Good food. Nice ambiance. Friendly and attentive staff. Very reasonable prices.

We tried their Crispy Pork Kare-Kare, Bulalo Steak, The Borger and Sweet Asian Wings. All were great. Even their Iced Teas were very refreshing.

We left with happy tummies. Will definitely be back.
