We had a very salty ramen (black garlic, original) served to us. The waiter offered us to add some hot water to reduce the salty taste. I don’t think I will try their food again. ☹️

ramen means heaven. it's like you are in cloud nine after you sipped that first spoonful of soup. that is the feeling you get.

since ramen is a little bit expensive we got a discount by getting a voucher from metrodeal.

ikkoryu's ramen is flavorful. i love the taste of the noodles bathed in with its flavorful soup and topped with thin sliced grilled pork. i ordered aburi charsiu tonkotsu by the way.

i just want to add also, order gyoza on the side. it's the best pair for ramen and it's yummy too!

Hit up Ikkoryu for the nth time afaik, but this time along High Street. Went here with team mates to introduce a new hire to the world of ramen after he got his first paycheck haha.

Tried the tantanment this time and found it just okay. It lacked the nutty sesame aftertaste i've grown accustomed to in a good tantanmen. Stick with their specialty flavors nalang with chashu.

BGC just have sooo many ramen and Japanese restaurants 128525. After the Ippudo experience, I suddenly went on a quest in search for the best ramen (according to my tastebuds 128523).

This restaurant is located along BHS, and is situated alongside another Japanese restaurant 128563. I first thought that both were under one brand, however, it wasn't!

🔸 Ajitama Tonkotsu (380php) -- 110881108811088 at first taste while hot as well, it was very good, then after awhile, it was just okay lang. I find it a bit salty nga lang 128533 (IMO)

🔸Edamame (80php) -- 1108811088 I thought it was cooked like the way I had in 🇨🇳, beans were soggy, no taste/bland, parang ang sad nagpagkakagawa 128533 (IMO)

Overall, IMO, it was nothing special 128533

I got the original Ikkoryu Tonkutsu. The quite long list of Ramen choices have very minimal differences. Mostly on type of sauce or toppings. It was just okay. I could have rated it higher if it wasn’t pricey for what it offered. Php 330 for few slices of pork wasn’t going to cut it. I won’t be surprised if we sell less Ramen as the hype has finally disappeared this year.

My ramen quick fix since i was craving for one last night. Broth was good. Noodles with hard texture was always the best combo. Big portion of chashu was good. Though ikkoryu branch is not consostent in tems of taste as compare to others branches nonetheless with gyoza i only paid for 380.

Tip: purchase anytime from a promo site which can be used instantly

Can you believe this!!!!! This whole table doesn't even cost 1,500!!! Me with two of my friends decided to try it! We got the spicy one and kinda forgot the other one, but also salad, dumplings and chicken wings. Ramen is soooo delicious! So was the salad. The chicken one was funny. All it really have was the little wing. Hahahahah. Anyway kinda hope they have more space, the place was great just lacking a bit of space. With was amazing definitely worth s try.

It's so hot outside and decided to stop over at Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen, BGC,

Ordered their lunch set meal, it seems they have a good bargain, well it is good, 299 for any set meals to choose with freeflow drinks, wether ramen + rice or ramen + karage or ramen + gyoza with side dish vegetable,

So here we go,
The food is not so wow, is good enough to make you full but to satisfy, hmmm nope,

Aircon spoilt, so apparently inside is hot too.

When come to payment, the cashier give a wrong change,

Managers apologize for the aircon & wrong change incident,

Well well i still expecting they could better than this.

We went to BGC right after work to join NRC. And after those tiring speed drills, we definitely got hungry. And thus, Ikkoryu!

The minimalist Japanese art mural on the black wall was beautiful as a backdrop against those tables. I liked the ambience of the place though it's too cold for me. (I get cold easily. 128534)

It was tough to pick out something from their menu because they have so many ramen dishes. How can you pick just one?! I'm used to having to pick from 4-5 dishes in ramen places. So yeah, it was a difficult choice.

We ended up getting the Ikkoryu Original Ramen (henceforth, the IO Ramen) and the Yusu.

I didn't like the Yusu that much. It was too pesto-y for me. I mean I like pesto and all (pesto pasta, pesto cheesebread, pesto pizza, etc.) but for some reason, I did not enjoy it in my ramen.

The IO was okay. It was a little bland for me on its own. So I looked for chili powder which apparently, they do not have. They just have chili sauce. Boo! I hope they add chili powder in their condiments. I don't like using chili sauce in my ramen because it makes it more oily. So it's always just been chili powder for me and my ramen. But anyway, chili sauce it is for the night. Although the chili sauce did add a little flavor to the ramen, it still seemed lacking to me.

Overall, it was okay. Ippudo is still the best for me though.

Lunch set for only 299. Iced tea is included in the set, though I don't like it's taste. Tastes like wood 128541

What a refreshing feeling to be reviewing something great this week. So we had dinner here and i order their Aburi Charsiu Tonkotsu, it was okay at 400, barbeque pork was really okay though i prefer the one at mendokoro and yushoken but the serving here is quite bigger. The noodle here was perfect al dente, soup was just an okay tonkotsu, tamago was a bit hard already. Gyoza at 150 for 6 pcs was not bad but abit slim. I was ready to give this 4 stars but when we left the premise and had walk all the way to serendra, someone was running towards us and we were alarm at first but we later found out that one of their personnel took all that effort to return an item that we left at ikkoryu, so that effort deserves 5 stars.

Ajitama Tonkotsu very soothing to the palate. Anyone knows what's the best in town? 128526128060128512. With all the ramen houses we have in the country ill include Ikkoryu on my list of ramen during the rainy days.

My third time at an Ikkoryu. Sadly it's not top of mind, but I tried this version, Aburi Chashu Tonkostu Ramen.

The pork (chashu) is GRILLED and that makes it atypical because the chashu's are typically boiled. This Aburi type of chashu gives the pork a more smokey flavor and I quite like it this way, it's different. Their Tonkostu broth is as expected. Thick, flavorful. And their noodles are recommended firm as it get softer over time. 4.5/5

Their staff could use a bit more proactiveness and need prodding before springing to action. 3/5 Too bad.

Ambience, furnishing are decent. With some round tables slotted in adjacent semi circle table groupings for maybe 6 to 8. We sat in the typical square tables lined up on a long couch. The thing that made our evening terrible was the non working aircon. -1 for that. 2/5

Overall, a decent 4/5.

Bumabawi lang, Odell R. My Canada vacay yielded 0 backlogged reviews posted. Was having too much time shopping. Hahaha. Peanut D! Sorry. So 3 in one day for my first reviews in 2016.

Today's weather makes me crave for 1 thing, RAMEN. With so much ramen place to choose theres ramen nagi, santouka, ippudo, ukkokei and mendokoro. I settled for ikkoryu cause i havent visited this place for quite a while.

They have many variants of ramen within their tonkotsu based soup, you got to try each one of them to tasted the difference.
While i already tried their:
1. Original tonkotsu - best seller. P330
2. Ajitama tonkotsu - Original woth soft boiled egg. P380
3. Takana tonkotsu - just with takana pickles. P400
4. Black garlic tonkotsu - abit salty imho. P380

Today i ordered Roasted chasu tonkotsu (P400) ramen since its their limited offer, i could say its really really good, imagine tonkotsu broth with abit sweet taste on the chasu. For the noodles always go for hard texture to be more chewy. I also order extra ajitama (egg).
*tip try adding a bit spicy oil or spicy powder.

So there first time to write a detailed review since todays weather makes me so.

I had the lunch special and it was pretty good. I think that it was just the right combination of gyoza and ramen. However, the staff did point out that I got 20% less ramen, which is a very hard thing to measure. I guess they gave me a bowl that was 20% smaller. Or they put 20% less ingredients in the same bowl. My head still hurts from trying to figure this one out. The bottom line is that it did not hurt my budget as much as a dinner course would have, and I essentially ate 4 "free" pieces of Gyoza. I really enjoy this place because of the ambiance and the way that they make their guests feel. The house tea is probably the best one in the metro. The price tag hurts but I am guessing you get what you pay for. Good ramen is really hard to find these days. I encourage everyone to try this at least once this holiday season. #12days
