My boyfriend and I werr at the mall last Saturday and we decided to have some ramen at Ikkoryu. We always eat at Ramenagi but this time we decided to try something new.

Iordered Tantan Tonkatsu Ramen. The bowls are small enough for one person but the taste is not as fantastic as I hoped it to be. The soup tasted like a simple broth, not flavorful. Mine was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't. For its taste, I would say P380 per bowl was expensive already. Will I go back for ramen here? Definitely, no.

Ordered at first 1 set of gyoza but after we tasted it, cannot resist to order another set. Hubby ordered the Chashu Tonkotsu which I liked better than Spicy Tobanjan Tonkotsu. I didn't mind it at first but after a while was tasting all the pepper which actually on the side of my bowl. Sarap sana and yes, too much and too full wasn't able to finish it.

Will try their other ramen flavors next time.

If you want to experience the best ramen taste of Japan, then Ikkoryu Fukuoka Rockwell Powerplant branch is the best place for you. I highly recommend the Spicy Tobanjan Tonkotsu for its full flavor of spiciness, very perfect for this rainy season. Lunch set is very satisfying and reasonable for its price of Php299 which is only available from Mondays to Fridays 11am-5pm. The staff is very accommodating, they cater to your needs and give you some compliments if the service is not good. Don't believe on negative reviews here maybe it just happened that they came during the peak hours so you have to understand that there are other customers too. Overall I give this place a 5-star review.

This will always be my go-to ramen place, and I will ALWAYS get an ajitama bowl with extra ajitama. 128514 Halved it though with my sister, so I didn't stuff myself too much.

It was my first time to try out their Rockwell branch, and the ramen was great, as always. I found the place to be quite small/cramped though, and a bit messy since they had some boxes stacked right next to my table. The staff was a bit forgetful because we had to repeat a couple of orders, and the appetizers came after the ramen, but whatever! Hahaha I'll let that pass. I prefer tho their SM Aura branch :)

With a lot of ramen resto to go to. Finding the best would be a hard task. And to match the good weather i have to be at one of the best ramen resto around.

This one is for real. The soup base is deliciously rich. Sinful he he. I have to be back to try some more. Since i was just there for the ramen i just sneaked in the chix karaage which was served piping hot, tender and tasty.

Get some ramen here. Really good.

Service - 11088110881108811088
Price - 11088110881108811088️ around p380-400 cheapest is p330 for the regular ramen which is not so regular but still special to me.

[Disclaimer: Late post]

Hello again, Ikkoryu Fukuoka.

It has been a long while. The last time I visited Ikkoryu Fukuoka was during Black Day (April 14, 2014) with my 14th of the month date J (of T3). This time around, I visited the Rockwell branch with another J, the architect.

I was quite hesitant to order as I know that the salt content of ramen is pretty much… wild! So to compromise, I started to look at the salad options. I was about to order the cold noodles when the server recommended their limited edition Ebi Hanadango Tonkotsu (PHP400), I gave in. (Darn you, “limited edition”!) I also ordered Kurogoma Ice Cream (PHP100) to somehow cleanse the palate.

The Ebi Hanadango Tonkotsu was lovely! It had a rich yet light shoyu taste. You could definitely taste the flavor of prawn. It also comes with prawn and pork dumpling though it had too much dough for me to appreciate the filling. Or perhaps there was hardly any filling to begin with. 128517

The Kurogoma (Black Sesame) ice cream was pretty good as well. It wasn’t that sweet making it a great ending to a meal.

See you again, Ikkoryu Fukuoka!

Tried the new tan tanmen (actually nakalimutan ko if ito yun HAHAHHAHAHEHHE) super good tho. Well lahat naman ng ramen nila masarap!

What I disliked was the service...
1. They responded so slowly.
2. The waiters didn't check our orders so they kept guessing that our order was complete after each order pero hindi pa. So we had to keep asking if na punch ba or what.
(The waiter accidentally spilled water on my mom's phone but oks lang since tao lang naman :)) accidents happen.)

Had a chance to drop by PowerPlantMall the other because of a basketball game near the area. I was really excited to try out something that can only be found in Rockwell like the Dessert Kitchen or the likes of Dean and Deluca but when you have a group of friends its hard to suggest which place to eat. Everybody has their own budget and preffered food. So with the majority wanting a ramen we end up here in Ikkoryu Ramen.

The place is just along the lower ground food strip of Rockwell. I have tried their ramen before in Century Mall and Shangrila branch. So this time I tried something unique from their menu, the Yuzu Tama Tonkatsu. This ramen got a unique zesty flavor in its soup because of the Yuzu. Yuzu is a lemon like citrus fruits comminly found in asia. This is a common garnish in japan to add zest to their food. The ramen also got the green color from the green chilli. This bring a layer of slight spicyness to the zesty soup. The pork serving was big and just the right proportion. This might not be the best ramen that I've tried but its great unique flavor tasted great for me.

Overall with the full blown ramen everywhere Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen is still a viable option. Not the best but still among the great ramen house we have in the metro. 128512128077

We had lunch here and I was very disappointed. Their serving size has shrunk again. Every time I visit, the bowl remains the same but the content is getting less and less. So for the price you pay, it is not worth it anymore.

The soup is also very salty.

Karaage is Ok.

I always order the same thing here- aji something, with hard noodles. It's yummy but ever time i go there, i cant help but notice the shrinking serving size :(. And their sesame seed grinder is not working, it was like sesame seed dispenser not a grinder.

I got the ajitama ramen with hard noodles. Broth is too salty so the whole thing was just okay. I regret exploring a different ramen joint, because when I leave Ippudo and Hanamaruken I always end up with happy satisfied feeling.

Ikkoryu Fukoka was one of the first ramen shops that I have tried. I tried the black garlic ramen at Shangri la Mall. I remembered that I had a hard time finishing the ramen because the serving size was so big. I think Ikkoryu changed their serving size because now, I found the serving a litle small. Considering the price, I expected a much bigger serving. I ordered the yuzu-tama tonkatsu since I wanted a unique flavor of ramen. According to the description, yuzu is a spice found in Kyoto. I was curious so I decided to try it. My sister had the new tantan ramen. My other sister had the black garlic tonkotsu ramen. My parents had the original tonkotsu. Even if the restaurant was only half full, our orders took a long time to arrive, 30 minutes or more.

My yuzu tama tonkotsu (P 380.00) had a light sour taste, which complemented the richness of the soup. I had the noodles cooked extra hard and they were able to do this perfectly. The soft boiled egg was also cooked right, it wasn't hard or dry and it had a slight sweet taste. The slice of chashu, although not that big, was also very tender. The tantan tonkotsu ramen was not as flavorful as other ramens I've tried. Maybe this was becuase it did not include chashu. The original tonkotsu ramen was also okay, nothing special. The black garlic ramen tasted a little smoky, and the garlic taste also went well with the soup. We forgot to tell the staff to remove the bamboo shoots since we're not really a fan of the bamboo shoot smell. Well, the bamboo shoot wasn't as pungent as the others we've tried so we still enjoyed our ramen.

In general, the ramens tasted good but not extraordinarily good. For the same amount, other ramen joints offer bigger serving sizes and faster service.

Price: 3/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 2/5

The only yummy dish we ordered here was the chashu ramen. The tofu salad was okay. But the worst was the potato salad, one scoop which costs P160! It tasted like mashed potatoe mixed with tuna spread. Do not order this at all costs! Bill amounted to P737. Go eat somewhere else unless you're dying to have ramen.

One of the early ramen eateries which we frequented until it became a bit cloying. Still and all, Ikkoryu would remain an option to dine for a quick repast if other nearby restaurants are full. Black Garlic tonkotsu, karaage and gyoza are staples that earn them good reviews.
