I'M Hotel is one of the relatively new hotels along Makati Avenue. They have been operating for 2 years but have heard of many good things about it.

I stayed here for 2 nights with some friends as our bride-to-be friend was checked in here. It was a pleasant surprised that they have a "welcome cake" and a complimentary mini bar. We were on the 15th floor so we also have a good view of the Makati skyline!

It was a busy 2 days for us preparing and the day of the wedding so I did not had the chance to check on the amenities of the hotel. More reasons to come back for a staycation!

Spent my Birthday Weekend here and we enjoyed it so much!

We got the Spacation Package and IMO this package is sulit! Room x Breakfast Buffet x Spa Package for 2 which includes Massage and unli access to Onsen Spa x additional Buffet before or after your massage x unli access to their AMAZING POOL and also access to their gym. So if you come to think of it, dinner and breakfast are covered!

The room that we got though wasn't as spacious as I have expected it to be. A little cramped but the bed and mattress were so comfy, temp really cold, complimentary cookies, bath tub and the usual hot and cold shower, hair dryer, super bango toiletries, the usual complimentary coffee and tea plus water.

Service is great too. We called gazillion times because, you know, kiddos! They were fast to respond and deliver each time so we were really happy!

The pool area is amazing too! You can lounge by the water in beach chairs or lounge by their GIANT chairs hanging over the pool! Their pool though is overlooking Makati Ave and is enclosed in glass so I would highly suggest to shy away from the edge facing the street unless you really want your body exposed lol

Overall, we had a great time here and I will not hesitate to go back and avail of this package again!

Also.. no great pics of the room because the daughters attacked the beds right away!

Urban Luxury in the vibrant expanse of Makati.

Spend the New Year’s Eve here last 2017. I’M Hotel is located at the heart of Makati.

We arrived late in the afternoon and there were many people also at I’M hotel lobby . Just same scenario last Christmas Eve when we had Staycation at Seda Vertis North. People nowadays loves Staycation during holidays instead of going out of the country or out of town coz it’s more practical and no need to go to airports.

We went to 4th floor I think for the check in counter , difference between our NYE and Xmas Staycation here is that we have seats here even if there’s a long queue and they even have a coffee counter 9749️ for those who want to have coffee while waiting . At least they have a good check in system . Then we got our room keycard after 30 minutes of waiting .

We had the Prestige Room , it has a twin bed and has a great city view of the tall buildings in Makati. It also has Smart TV, WiFi . The room is spacious and modern .

We just had our NYE dinner outside the hotel and the following day we had our New Years breakfast at one of their ballrooms there . They have a good selection of food for their guests . The table is systematised also, you’ll just tell them the room number and you have a designated table already .

After breakfast we rest again to our room and after that I’m so excited to try the pool . I used to see their fantastic pool in the internet and it is Instagram worthy .

Glad when we arrived at the swimming pool area , most of the guests were still asleep so there’s was not much people on the pool so we grab the opportunity to take as many photos 128247128241

Really loved their acrylic bottomed infinity pool 127946. Once you enter the lobby, the pool captures your attention . You can enjoy swimming , sunbathing , and even relax at the elevated lounge beds .

Too bad we weren’t able to try the Onsen Spa, this is what I’M Hotel also known for . It’s a peak time so there’s a lot of people for sure so it’s best to try it on ordinary time .

Good thing about the hotel , there’s a lot of restaurants , malls nearby , you can just walk on the area.

We had the package of I'm Hotel and I'm Onsen for only 8000. Reasonable price to relax. Package includes overnight stay, onsen spa, massage and buffet. They serve complimentary mini bar inside the room. You can enjoy your free softdrinks, nuts and cookies while staying in the room.

I’M Hotel is located along Makati Ave just walking distance from Century City Mall. We got the Premier Suite for Php 8,550 with breakfast, use of hotel facilities, access to club lounge and use of onsen spa.

You can also cook, and dine inside the room. A king sized bed, laundry facilities, and a fully functional kitchen are just some of the perks you can also get. Breakfast buffet food are all good plus the bacon of course. Overall, I had an awesome weekend staycation at this hotel.

Last month, I was one of the first two bloggers (the other being Cai) who had the opportunity to stay in the first 5-star hotel in Poblacion, Makati; I'M Hotel. The hotel is currently on soft opening and is targeting to have its official opening in the first quarter of 2017.

I'M Hotel offers many things that sets it apart from other 5-star hotels and this includes but not limited to the following:

Onsen Spa
I am not sure if there is any onsen spa in Japan where inked people can enter, but I guess I don't have to worry about such a thing now with the opening of I’M Onsen Spa. The spa covers about 3800 sqm and 6 storeys inside the hotel making it the largest state-of-the-art spa in the Philippines. It has a carbonated bath technology that was imported from Japan. It has 69 beds, jacuzzis, steam rooms, communal beds, even VIP rooms that can be used for small events. The spa offers numerous spa treatments such as onsen bath (tea, herbal, flower, and milk baths), body and foot massage, facial, body scrub among others. During our stay we were treated to a relaxing body massage treatment. It's a one and half hour of shiatsu and swedish massage.

After the massage we were offered this tea made from red dates and lychee. I am not a tea person but I finished the entire cup in no time, that's how delicious this special tea is. It is sweet and doesn't have that awful grassy flavor that I've always hated when it comes to regular tea.

We were not able to try the onsen as it was not yet in operation during our visit, but I am definitely coming back for it.

434 Guestrooms
The rooms are designed by the Singapore-based interior designer Suying Metropolitan Studio. Each room is spacious, elegant, and modern looking. Out of 434 guestrooms, 91 suites are equipped with Bosch-fitted kitchenette, living room, and dining area.

Cai and I were billeted in one of the Executive Prestige King rooms, while our companies, Andrei and Mel (Cai's video team) stayed in the Executive Prestige Twin.

The Executive Prestige king is a 40-sqm room equipped with a king size bed, Smart TV, a couch, safe, workplace, coffee and tea making facility, and telephone. The toilet takes a small space equipped with its own sink and is separated from the shower room. The shower room has a Grohe rainshower and a built-in bathtub. And by the way, they use Crabtree & Evelyn products for the toiletries, how nice is that?!

It was the first time that Cai and I used a Smart TV so we had a moment of being amazed when we turned it on and found that the remote control functions the same way as the mouse does to a computer. You could see a cursor on the screen and in the beginning, we struggled a little bit. It takes some getting used to but when you finally get the hang of it, it makes viewing such a pleasurable experience. Now I know why some people are dreaming about getting a Smart TV. On top of that each room has high-speed Internet connection.

Glass-bottomed Swimming Pool
Come night time I was already suffering from fever so I wasn't able to swim in the infinity pool. I feel so bummed that I wasn't able to do so because as written in the header, it is a glass-bottom (or acrylic-bottomed) swimming pool. You can see the bottom of this pool in the lobby, just look up. My companions were able to take night swimming though and based on their experience, it was both weird and interesting. Weird because as I mentioned, the bottom of the pool is made of glass, so you can see the people watching you from below during your swim. I would have loved to experience it myself, darn! Anyway, there is definitely going to be a next time!

Another unique feature of the swimming pool area are the bird cages lounges sitting on an elevated platform on top of the pool. It even came in different colors.

Dining Options
You don't have to leave the hotel's premises for a satisfying meal. During our stay, we had a very sumptuous dinner at Empress Jade and a hearty breakfast at Bloom buffet restaurant. Bloom has a flower theme going on (hence the name), each table is embellished with real plants and flowers. They serve international cuisine. As the rest of the hotel, Bloom is still on soft opening so most of sections are still not operational when we were there.

Empress Jade delighted us with its delicious selection of Chinese cuisine. Note that I was already nursing a fever during our dinner but not even that dulled my appetite. The food was so delicious.

Other Amenities
During your stay you don't have to miss a day in the gym because I'M Hotel has its own gym. Pretty soon there will also be a bar called, Antidote on the hotel's rooftop. I am looking forward to the opening of Antidote bar because according to Melissa, it will have a luminescent jellyfish tank. Now that is way awesome to miss.

With great luxury comes a hefty price tag; that's the rule, you want to experience anything of quality you have to ready your pocket. Hence, for many of us, staying in upscale accommodation is nothing but a dream. But that's now in the past because the game-changer in the pool of luxurious hotels has finally arrived. I'M Hotel offers all the comforts of a 5-star hotel for a price that is absolutely more affordable than its contemporaries. Who says luxury should be expensive?
