that moment na nag pi-freak out na lahat ng tao dahil nakawala yung mga flying dinosaurs , therex ba tawag dun (bear with my spelling) ,
tapos yung mga bida nagawa pang mag romance (lips to lips) kama teh, gusto nyo??!! ... sarap sapakin eh noh...
pasalamat sila wala ako dun, naku, kundi, pinakain ko silang dalawa sa mga dinosaur promise! 128529128529128545
the rest of the story is cueshe' ,what's new with the jurassic movie , laging namang may ganung scene eh noh,.and always the good wins over bad!!
tas may drama pa pla, nung yung batang bida naalala yung pagdidivorce ng parents nila and he's against it,.habang nakasakay sila sa parang bolang sasakyan nag eemote si kuya..

Ok,..cut na!!! baka ako naman sapakin nyo pag tinuloy ko pag kukwento haha...

halata namang nanuod kami ng Jurassic World diba, and I watched with my 9years old cousin , and my 5 years old niece gills, who's the one who want the most to watched it, but when the part na nagwawala na yung dinosaur at magsimula na yung thrill ng story, she told me;
" tita ann, alis na tayo, punta na tayo kay mommy" hahaha but I wanted to finish the movie so I just ask her to sit in my lap and comfort her and told her not to look at it nlng, and I am covering her ears when the two big dinosaurs are already fighting because the sound effect is really loud and scarry...so nagawa ko pa ring mabuti ang roll ko talaga bat ako nasama sa panunuod nun..to baby sit the two kids 128518128514128517

What made me give it a 5star pla is the place itself, the seats are comfy, just cold enough to comfort you while watching movie, not so cold that you'll need to wear jacket...and the staffs are nice, one of the staff escorted us going to our seats specially kids kasama ko...and the place is clean nmn, no left over mess from the other costumer who first watched before our batch..

We watched Tomorrowland, the very last screening. Since Poltergeist still wasn't showing, it will be screened on June 24. That suxx.

Anyway, stop ranting. We sat in J17,18,19,20,25. It's 2D, suxx.

The movie wasn't that good (for me), the dialogue is rather stiff than realistic. And George Clooney? His acting is good, but it's the 'chosen one that must save the world' cliché. It suxx a lot. Lol, I hate clichés.

When we left, I noticed I'm in our car already.. I fell asleep 50 minutes to the end... Pls tell me the ending lol. And btw, my dad carried me because I fell asleep. ridiculous lol.

I watched Avengers, luckily when I reserved. There are still seats, the con is all the middle rows and seats was taken. I got a seat for three in row H and numbers 18, 19, 20.

Fast forward to April 26.

We got there by 10 AM (too early, in hopes of getting good comfort couches). Phew, only 2 groups are there. As we sat there, my data connection to Globe failed. So we went to the Prestige to kill time.

When we entered, I hoped the glasses is character themed (because of the concept art of character themed glasses by Marvel) but sadly, it is exclusive to America. 128557128557128557128514.

While watching the movie, I encountered problems in my glasses.

Poor customer service, too many people lined up for snacks and drinks. When a guy got his Hulk tumbler, it then suddenly fell causing the liquid to leak. He held it properly, or maybe the workers over rushed.

Too many complaints in the ticket vendors inside the IMAX. Duh, just get an upcoming time. Or at least in 3D or 2D.

-It is stained, almost obscuring my vision.

-It smells of grease. (128554128078🏻 yuck)

And the 3D made us dizzy. It's either the fault of the team who converted the 3D (it is fake 3D). Or either the theatre.

I almost felt asleep.

Anyway, for me, it is not worth watching at all.

First, how did... SPOILERS

Vision lifted the hammer? Even the characters who have the Stones cannot lift it unless they are worthy.

Second, why they did kill Quicksilver? He is a new character.

Third, the battle takes place in 36K high, they would have died of lack of oxygen.

Anyway, it is good. But really? Retiring the Avengers? That sucks tho. Even if I read the comics.

We was supposed to watch it April 4. But the IMAX theater and other theaters are already sold-out. We waited.

April 18

We bought tickets, expecting it to be sold out too. But it is not, the downside is middle seats were taken. It is okay though.

We entered the theater, the first thing I noticed is it is too cold.

(Maybe they overused the AC and replaced it?)

SPOILER ALERT!

There was a lot of 3D scenes, the good 3D scene was Han's death. And many more.

It is like The Expendables, not a Furious movie, lol. Too many explosions like Michael Bay's Transformers: AoE. I would tell you just watch it in 2D, or The Avengers: AoU.

The movie was entertaining, that the plane scene felt like we're falling.

"I don't have friends. I got family." -Dom Toretto.

In Abu Dhabi, there were a lot of sexy scenes, also the car crashes to the skyscraper. I enjoyed the skyscraper bit. It ends with Paul Walker (Brian Conner) retiring. The same too to Jordana Brewster's Mia. Tho feels. 128557128557128557

Movie is good, sorry for the delay. 128547128546128074🏻128077🏻

After Yabu, my friend and I watched The Hobbit The Battle of the Five Armies in IMAX 3D. OMFG! I don't think I'll ever be happy with watching movies in the regular setting ever again. I've been ruined 128557

For php450, it was well worth it!

The best part/s were whenever it felt like we were moving instead of it being a camera trick. The last time I felt like that was when I watched the My St Helens movie in Seattle - nakakahilo ha! But this one in SM was good, it amazed me. I can't wait to watch Star Wars there!

Only thing that ruined it were the latecomers and inconsiderate people who would stand way up trying to figure out their seat numbers. First of all, Pilipinas, it is high frigging time you got rid of Filipino time. Seriously. It's not an asset. It's irritating and rude. Nakakahiya pa because people from other countries know about it - I saw a YT vid. It wasn't pretty. La lang, nakakainis because the ones who made sure they were on time are the ones who are disturbed over and over again. Ugh.

Secondly, if you feel like you're the authority in all things JRR Tolkien, good for you. No need to shout it and spoil it for everyone. Ang a-hole mo lng (pardon my French).

Rant over. But good job, SM 128514

There weren't a lot of people either, so yay yay!!!

The seats were comfy and the screen, as with all IMAX theaters, was huge. 128079128079128079

One thing though: we HEARD the sound check and the trailers, but for about 5-10 mins, there was no visual! I was going to holler when suddenly the foreigner sitting in front of us stood up and walked out. I assume he said something, because when he came back, the screen was on. So, thank you, sir 128516

Other than that, will definitely come back.

I've tried a lot of different movie theaters in the metro. Some were really great in overall sound quality.

But nothing beats the complete experience that you'll get when you watch a movie in IMAX.

It's true that a lot of new cinemas have popped up offering different features such as Dolby Atmos (sound) and 4DX (be part of the movie). But there's something about IMAX that FORCES me to come back for more. Heck, I watched The Avengers thrice here!

Let me list the reasons why IMAX (all branches) is my favorite:

128187 SMCinema.com

Convenience would be the word to sum it all up. SMCinema.com allows people to check movie schedules, watch trailers, and buy tickets online.

Of course others do the same thing as well. But what makes SM unique is that they send you a code via SMS. This code can then be used to print your tickets at SM's cinema lobby by just placing your phone on their ticket printer scanners! Now that's very convenient!

I'm not sure if others have the same tech, but based on my experience with others, I have to buy my tickets online and then go to the ticket booth and have the cinema staff print the tickets. That's not convenient.

127909 Image Quality

I think people who've tried watching IMAX movies don't need explanation about this. But for those who haven't, IMAX's IQ leaves all competition behind. Just imagine watching a super high-res movie on a big a** screen!

IMAX 3D is of course, the theater's unique selling point. But for those who hate 3D, watching movies in IMAX 2D would still make your jaws drop because of the amazing image quality. I actually think IMAX 2D movies look better than IMAX 3D movies since it lets you concentrate on the overall picture rather than focusing on the 3D objects.

3D or not, IMAX produces one of the best, if not, THE BEST image quality that I have ever seen here in the country.

128226 Sound

Yes it's not a Dolby Atmos where you'll literally hear every sound detail of the movie. But IMAX's sound quality is enough to make you jump out of your seat whenever a Kaiju (see Pacific Rim) clashes with a Jaeger. IMAX's SQ is enough to make you hear steel slamming to alien-like shell!

Monstrous bass is also expected out of an IMAX movie. Enough said about bass. Let's talk about overall SQ.

Enough about overall SQ! IMAX's sound quality is a clear runner-up to Dolby Atmos. 128077

128701 Seats

Believe me, I tried my best to look for a more appropriate emoji.

These are movie seats. While having really soft and comfy seats are great, I prefer the not-so-comfy ones since it makes me feel that I'm watching a great movie in a world-class movie theater.

Lazy-boy type seats are really comfortable. But it's too comfy that it makes me sleepy. IMAX's seats (and other similar movie seats) are enough to make the whole movie experience awesome and complete.

Here are some tips and fun facts about IMAX theaters:

☑️ Rows J, K, and L have the best viewing angle (SM North EDSA)

I won't say which seats though. That's for you guys to find out. 128513

☑️ In case SM's ticket printer scanner doesn't work, you can go to the ticket booth and skip the line.

SM North EDSA's ticket printers were down so I had to ask their staff to print it. They let me skip the line. 128514

☑️ SM makes a lot of money out of IMAX movies.

Check this out: the IMAX theater in SM North EDSA has a seating capacity of 454.

Let's say that it's a full house (say, The Avengers is playing) and the IMAX theater shows the movie 5 times in a day. Let's do the math:

TP = ticket price
SC = seating capacity
MT = movie times in a day
W = 1 week

(TP*SC)*MT*W = ?

(450*454)*5*7 = ?

SM North EDSA alone generates P7,100,000 from IMAX every week!

Since it's just an assumption that it's a full house for the whole 7 days, of course, it's not going to be accurate for an entire month. So let's just take that figure from the first week and multiply it to 7 (The are 7 IMAX theaters in the entire country). Again, not super accurate because all theaters have different seating capacities.

7.1M x 7 = ?

SM generates 49,700,000 from all their IMAX theaters in just 1 week. I could buy 100 Santa Cruz and Specialized bikes with that money! Or eat at all the restaurants that offers |ooloo Specials for an entire decade!

☑️ Freebies

I was once given a poster of Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and a pen that has an IMAX logo on it when I bought my tickets early. It's definitely NOT the greatest freebies I've ever had. The pen, yeah I'd gladly take it. But the poster of Thor flexing his arm that's bigger than my 2 legs combined? No. Just a big NO.

There you have it. Some of the reasons why I love IMAX and why I think it's the best movie theater in the country. I did watch The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in IMAX 3D this past Friday.

It was a great movie. Was it IMAX 3D worthy? The movie does not fully take advantage of the 3D tech, but it's still a great movie to watch in IMAX since some scenes were really impressive. Especially when Spidey shoots his web at you. 128517

The background beats in some scenes of the movie will make you smile and admire whoever came up with it.

❗️SOME SPOILERS and things you probably didn't notice:

1. When Electro was causing mayhem in NY Times Square, a techno/dubstep music was playing. Get it? Electro.

2. When Spidey was getting beaten at the grid by Electro, a tune of "Itsy bitsy spider" was being played. If remember it correctly, Spidey said during the scene, "I hate this song!"

3. When Aleksei Sytsevich's (Rhino) pants came off, he was wearing shorts with lots of rhino head prints all over it.

4. Peter Parker's ringtone was The Amazing Spider-Man's 60's theme song.

5. Gwen Stacy was wearing the exact same outfit from the comics in her last.. few scenes in the movie. 128517

6. The "Man from the Shadows" or what others call, "The Gentleman" identity was revealed. It's the dude that mysteriously appeared in the first movie's post-credit scene (or is it pre-credit scene?).

He's Gustav Feirs. The dude who assembled the Sinister Six in the comics. The Sinister Six is probably the one that makes Spidey's life more miserable.

This shows the possible direction of the movie's franchise. Expect the whole cast of Sinister Six to be in the third installment. Lots of bad guys coming!

Hint: Spidey wasn't able to handle all of them alone. Insert camios here.

TLDR: watch The Amazing Spider-Man in IMAX 3D. It's all worth it! Great movie in a great theater. What more can you ask for?

Watched Captain America: Winter Soldier on IMAX this past Wednesday. The movie was really great. Probably one of the best, if not, the best movie Marvel has ever made.

But why just 4 stars?

The mobile code scanners were out of service. I bought my tickets online and chose to receive the "code" on my mobile phone. I really liked this feature of SM Cinemas as it makes everything convenient. You simply put your phone down with its screen facing the scanner. And then wait for your tickets to be printed.

But when I went there this past Wednesday, I had to show them the confirmation email that was sent to me. I waited 10 min just to get my tickets. They also asked me to sign something.

What's the point of buying online dibaaaa?! 128561 reservation lang?! 128078

Anyway, they renovated the lobby. We sat on the new couches. So at least we enjoyed something else aside from the movie itself.

Each ticket costs 450 128076

PS - movie was great but I don't think it's worth watching on IMAX. Not sure if it's available in Dolby Atmos. But that might be a better option since the movie doesn't have a lot of 3D stuff going on.

Someone died in the movie 128557

Aaaand my 200th review is for my favorite movie theater, the awesome IMAX theater. 127881

The lobby area was being renovated. But good thing there were nearby stores worth checking out.

As always, AV was superb. Monstrous bass and comfy seats were expected. The crowd was well-behaved when we watched.

As for the movie itself (300: Rise of an Empire), I liked it! It was definitely more graphic than the previous one. The visuals were great. The story too was awesome!

Expect more blood, headless bodies, and disgusting wounds.

Artemisia (Eva Green) is such a great actress. 128514 I'd like to see more of her movies. lol
