IPPUDO’S TANTANMEN IS BACK! This time, for good! 127836127836127836

Ramen lovers rejoice! Ippudo’s signature Tantanmen will be available on all Ippudo stores starting July 11! Got the chance to have it before the 11th and it’s still sooo good! Though my maanghang tolerance is super low, masarap pa rin! ♥️

Thick broth, torched chashu, parmesan cheese, egg and ground pork with cilantro and onions. Mmmm~ 128523128523128523

PSA: The Star of the 2016 Tokyo Ramen Show will be back in all Ippudo branches 🇵🇭 starting July 11! 127836

I really like Ippudo’s version of Tantanmen as it’s so rich and creamy. It’s made with Ippudo’s signature tonkotsu broth, cilantro, onions, torched chashu, ground pork, parmesan cheese, egg, and tantanmen oil. It’s a bit spicy, but it’s truly packed with amazing flavors.

Be sure to get it soon. So see you this July 11? 10084

Went for ippudo tonight and the ramen didnt disappoint. The soup was perfect creamy tonkotsu and its charsiu were the best. The ramen itself look abit small maybe coz of the awkard shape of its bowl but after finishing 1 bowl youll surely feel that it was just enough.

Ever since it started raining last week, I have been craving for something hot. This weather, more popularly tagged as #bedweather, has also been known to become #ramenweather.

But because of the long line at this famous ramen place which recently opened a branch in BGC, we tried to look for another restaurant and Ippudo was the unanimous choice.

Not that its ramen is not good, but the real star for us is the torched salmon roll. It’s quite simple - a salmon rolled, topped with creamy mayo, which gives off that surprise kick (both texture and flavor) with the first bite, and then torched. Valued at Php295, it’s a sure favorite, and dare I say must-have.

Plus points also for Ippudo’s ever quick and efficient service! Right from when we were standing and waiting in line to paying for our bill, we commend the great customer service.

Craving for ramen satisfied, and so much more!

It's my first time to try Ippudo. I've heard that it's one of those restaurants specializing in ramen. However, I was honestly disappointed in their food.

Taste was just okay. The soup was hot when served but the richness of the soup was too much for me.

I'd like to commend the service of their staff as they are really responsive and they even asked about our dining experience.

This branch of ippudo had been pretty inconsistence with its taste but tonight was okay an okay night. The charsiu bun was abit expensive and uses the same slice for their ramen. Still ippudo abroad taste premium and i hope that should be implemented here. 4 stars.

‪I've been to Ippudo several times but in Megamall branch. This will be my first time to dine at Ippudo Uptown Mall branch.‬

‪The place is located at the ground level of the mall. You will never missed this place 'coz of the big signage was very visible when you passed by at the 9th Avenue.‬

‪I got Karaka Special Ramen for Php495.00. It is Ippudo's original Tonkatsu broth, served with thin wavy noodles, pork belly slices, salted soft-boiled egg, seaweed, and spring onions. Topped with special spicy minced meat in miso paste and fragrant garlic oil.‬

‪"The Karaka Special had a spicy broth flavor but tolerable. I'm addicted to the broth, for every sip of it you will want more. I also like the tenderness of the pork belly slices, it melts in mouth for every bite of it. The salted soft boiled egg, seaweed and spring onions will enhance the flavor of Karaka Special Ramen."‬

‪They served me a cup of complimentary tea to pair with my ramen, this will be my palate cleanser.‬

‪By the way, the ramen was served within 10 minutes. That's fast.‬

‪Overall, I agree with Ippudo's tagline the "famous ramen in the world" 'coz they served one of the best ramen in the country.‬

Had some bonding time with unica hija at Ippudo in Uptown mall earlier. It was our nth time in Ippudo but first time in this branch.

We ordered the following :

Shiromaru Special (P480) - original tonkotsu broth served with ultra thin noodles topped with a combination of pork belly and pork loin, salted soft boiled egg and seaweed. Broth was delicious. Pork belly and pork loin were not tender though. Salted soft boiled egg was scrumptious

Torched Salmon Roll (P295) - delicate yet delicious, my all time favorite since its launch.

I love that this branch is more spacious than the one they have in mega. Service was prompt and cheerful.

So hard to give a higher rating when I can not help but compare it to Mendokoro...sorry

Really? Was this supposed to be the bestseller of the Tokyo Ramen Show last year? After reading that claim and seeing how delicious it looked on FB, my expectations sky rocketed (perhaps unfairly).

Its quite good no doubt and i like the noodles a lot. But sorry it doesnt quite get me like 2 other tantamens i can think of top of mind.

PLACE:

Place is nice.

FOOD:

Shiromaru Tamago : Broth, Noodles, Tamago, and its Pork Loin are sooo good. Love the broth and the firmness of the noodles. The pork loin melts in your mouth. And when you cut that tamago, you'll see a Yolk-plosion (yold explosion)

Gyoza : Yummehhh

SERVICE :

Friendly and accommodating staff

PRICE:

Definitely worth every Peso

VERDICT:

Did I enjoy it? - Yes
Will I recommend it? - Definitely
Will I come back? - Yes

Ippudo has this new ramen called the Clam Chowder Ramen. I'm old school. I like my ramen as basic as possible without any frills. But this ramen was so weird that I had to try it.

In a nutshell, it's probably a ramen-related decision that I regret the most making in my life. This bowl was trying to be everything. It's tonkotsu with clams, potatoes, grated cheese and bacon. They even included truffle oil in there.

Come to think of it, I have never had a good bowl of Clam Chowder with truffle oil in it.

At the end of my meal, the server had a worried face and asked how my meal was. Of course, I wanted to be polite. I just said it was good but deep inside, I just wished I sticked to one of the three original Ippudo flavors that I love so much.

Wasn't too amazed with the clam chowder ramen. It was their staple appetizer, the Goma Q, that stole the show for me haha. I mean, the broth of the ramen was good and all. Plus the novelty factor was there. Clam chowder x Ramen, who would have thought that??? But instead of getting the best of what i liked about clam chowder and ramen, the two seemed to be just put together.

Maybe the soup could have been thicker and loaded with potatoes like a real New English chowder? I dont know. Plus my bacon was makunat and hard to chew. And it would have been nice if the croutons were cubed and on the soup. As Chili G pointed out, i found the clams too small and few (baby clams?), and the fact that you had to remove them from the shell pa only with chopsticks made it worse. Normally, a clam chowder would have the clams de-shelled so you could just scoop them up.
