First, I'm not reviewing the store itself but the chips. I bought a pack from an Irvin's store along BGC Highstreet and I couldn't seem to request it to be added on the database. No matter what keywords I type it shows either the Megamall branch or other establishments with "salt" in their names.

Anyway, back to business, I have always been curious about this chips; what's so special about it that it's always sold out. In fact, I saw its kiosk in SM Megamall before and they have already ran out of supplies at 12 noon.

I went to Singapore but I didn't get a chance to get one. People were asking me, why didn't I buy it when I was there. And I was like, "Why? Am I obliged to buy the chips? Is it going to make my life better?" I am snarky like that.

And then yesterday happened and I take back my words. It did make my life, or at least my mood for the rest of the day better.

My friend and I were walking down BGC Highstreet. I spotted an Irvin Salted Egg's store and I told her that it's the popular chips that everyone is losing their sh*t for. She hasn't heard of it but it was not hard to convince her that we go try it. There was no queue and they haven't ran out of supplies; we were in luck.

I almost had a hard attack when I saw how expensive it is. Seriously? 300 pesos for a bag of chips? 600 if you want a bigger pack? I have never even bought Lays in my life because I think it's too expensive for chips. But this is one of those rare cases when my curiosity is bigger than my miserly tendencies so I gave out 100 pesos, my friend gave out 200 (yes I'm kuripot and yes I have a rich friend 🤣).

There are two variants, potato chips and fish chips. I asked which one is their bestseller; the vendor said both. She then picked a tray and offered us free-taste. You know how foodgasm feels like? That's the only way I could describe the experience of eating these chips. Even my friend who had zero idea about Irvin's willingly shelled out the moolah so we could get a bag. We then finished the entire thing in no time, all the while, letting out remarks that would make Irvin blush. By the way, is Irvin a person? I'm assuming he is and that he made the chips, but I am going to kiss the person behind this creation if I could. That's how much I loved it.

We picked the fish chips because it's more delicious. It is crunchy and oh so very tasty. The salted egg flavor is on every bite, but it's not very salty as most chips are. It doesn't have a "nakakasawa" quality.

There are many salted egg products that have come out when the trend started, and this one has got to be the most genius. Nevermind it has 320 calories, I would finish a bag on my own. My friend and I were already planning to go back and buy some more.

I love that it's not just a hype. This is one of the popular snacks that you should definitely try and I'll go as far as say that there is no way in this world that you will not love it.

The famous Salted Egg Potato Chips in Singapore is now in the Philippines!!! Hooray for Irvins!!! EGGCITED!

I've waited 30 minutes for me to get a small pack of Salted Egg Potato Chips and Salted Egg Fish Skin both for Php300.00 each. Large for Php600.00. Luckily, it was the last piece.

I agree that the Salted Egg Potato Chips is "Dangerously Addictive" but surprisingly I like much better the Salted Egg Fish Skin. Mas masarap! It's like I am eating a Chicharon Bulaklak with Salted Egg. 🤤
