The Best Dinner so far I had in Cebu!

We were invited for Dinner and Seafoods is a must when you are in Cebu and on vacation.

We had steamed crabs in soy sauce, sweet chili garlic shrimp, grilled fish, fried white fish, stir fry scallops, adobo pusit and tinolang isda.... Everything we had is fresh and cooked into perfection the Cebuano way.

Would surely come back on my next visit and order some of their specialties that we haven't tried.

The place is homey and the service is excellent!

By the way Traveller's can present their boarding pass to get 15% discount on your total bill.

This place is the bomb! Situated at the Grand Convention center, you get to choose which of the fresh seafood you want to eat and how you want them cooked. The prices are reasonable too! We got tiger prawns, lobsters, scallops and and one big squid! The servers were attentive and friendly too!

It's finally back! After having been gone for a decade, Cebu's famous restaurant where you shop for seafood (as you would in a market) is back!

What a joy to sea live seafood in front of you! And what an even more exciting joy to have it cooked fresh, straight out of the tanks and aquariums! There was an abundance of sea mantis, blue crabs, mud crabs, prawns, groupers, and so many other fish! There was a small selection of meats like pork belly, pork barbecue, and chicken. There weren't any shellfish when we went, but the waiters said they'd have shellfish delivered pretty soon from trusted suppliers.

My family ordered two mud crabs cooked in 2 different ways. The first was in salt & pepper. It was very delicious. The crab was meaty and cooked in light batter with some bell peppers and with whatever makes up "salt and pepper". It was very tasty! The second crab was in chili. The chili crab had the perfect zing of spiciness. The sauce was not too thick, not too watery; the flavors were clean and very delectable. I had a difficult time deciding which was my favorite between the two, but ultimately I chose the chili crab.

We also ordered prawns which were stir fried in garlic butter. Boy was that good. The shrimps were succulent and fresh and sweet. The garlic butter was so tasty, somewhat sweet in between bites. Ah, one of the best 'simple' shrimp dishes I've had in a long time.

I love rock lobsters so we ordered around 5 pieces, and had them cut in halves. Lobster was cooked perfectly, still juicy with a charcoal smell and taste. Paired with lemon butter, it was perfect!

We also ordered steamed sea mantis in garlic soy sauce and pompano, steamed the same way. Both were delicious! My dad especially loved the sea mantis as it was very fresh, giving out that sweet taste he desires in most crustaceans.

Service was superb! All the waiters who were attending us were quick and attentive. We didn't even ask for anything as they provided us with everything we needed - from moist towelettes, water, change of plates, toothpicks.

Ambience was great! The place was super clean, and I loved the interiors that resembled a wharf!

I cannot wait for my next visit to Seafood City!
