My favorite me-time place! I don't mind shelling out money for this spa because they got superb service. I'm a sucker for massage, so I go to a spa/massage parlor twice a month to de-stress. The place boasts a calm and relaxing ambiance. Their pipe-in music and scent make me want to have at least 3hrs of massage, if that could only be possible! Private rooms are nice. Neither too big or too small. The massage service itself is heavenly. You'll feel lighter and relaxed after an hour or two of their service. Not bad if you're stressed out. Staff is really commendable too. They are well-trained and got a highly satisfactory customer service. And of course, free ginger tea before and after the massage! Can't say anything bad about this place. :)

Had a foot and back massage with the wifey ! Second time here. Very relaxing and great place to have a massage.
A little pricey but that's the price you pay for a great massage !
Ok back to the massage!

One of the best spa in the country. The massage services are great. You can choose either Filipino or Chinese Therapist. The spa have different choices. For Big Group like more than 6 you can try their Theater room. They also have private room that can accommodate up to 6 person. The deluxe room for couple which include private shower room. And the suite room with your own private jacuzzi, shower and steam bath. Tip: Automatic discount upon presenting your RWM membership card.

While waiting for our friends, my boyfriend and I decided to try this spa since we were both tired.

The place was really beautiful and staff's were friendly. When we were on our to our room, it felt like we were in a five-star hotel. 1002410024

The masseusse was really good and her hands were really soft and warm. I think that the oil (we chose pain reliever oil) really helped.128134

Also it's only Php. 800/person for a body massage (60minutes). There's a cabinet in the room and a tv128077128077128077128522128522128522128522

After a very tiring and wrinkle-defining training week, I had a very relaxing night at Island Spa. It was probably the best Spa I've been to.

Talk about pampering and relaxing. The sauna and the bubble bath was the highlight of my relaxing period. I just forgot all the money that was cashed out for this activity. 'Worth it' is an understatement.

I also had my back and foot massaged and I enjoyed every bit of it. I love the very serene ambiance, their calming ginger tea and their welcoming staff.

Pressure here, deeper pressure their and a little bit of those stretches. Ahhhh! It was a very pleasant experience Ü

Our favorite spa. Great ambiance and great massage.

We always go for foot and back or hot stone massage.
After a long road trip to the beach there's no where else I wanna be!! I also can't get enough of their ginger tea. Been addicted to it for 7 years!!

**Photo taken in their 9-seater theater room.
They also have a branch in jupiter (the first branch).

Hope you guys enjoyed your weekend! Dozing off in 3, 2, 1 Zzzzzzzzz

I have now discovered an island of calm and relaxation. Pun intended. 128540 I say "discover" because its location inside the Resorts World Manila's Newport Mall is somewhat hidden. To get there, get to the top floor where McDonalds is via escalator. Turn left at McDonalds, walk past Bruno's barbershop and turn right on the first corner where you'll see a flight of stairs leading up with a mini "botanical garden" with a small fountain beside the stairs. Go up and discover the Island Spa for yourself. 128521

Lit in yellow dim light with a modern minimalist Balinese interior design ... gives off a very tranquil vibe. The array of light fixtures are quite dramatic especially the ones leading to the massage rooms.

I asked for a Combination (mix of Swedish and Shiatsu) massage in a Private Room. I was ushered to a room with 2 massage beds, 2 wardrobe cabinets, 1 love-seat sofa and an LED TV with cable channels and remote control for you to choose the channel. Nice! They also provided robes, shorts and flip flops for you to change into. The massage itself was great. They give you 3 choices of massage oils: unscented, pain reliever and menthol. The nice surprise that I had was their incorporating warm towels into the massage. Midway through the massage, since they've used oil on your back, they cover it with warm towel and continue the pressure point massage for about a minute then use the towel to wipe the oil off your back. Then they'll ask you the sit up for a quick shoulder massage but it's just for then to slip warm towels covers in transparent plastic bag onto the bed before they ask you to lie down again with the warm towel positioned under the upper back. Aaaaahhh ... nice touch! And at the end when after they sit you up again for final stretching ... they fold up the bed into a reclining bed for you to watch TV for a few more minutes while they serve you ginger tea.

The Combination massage in a Private Room costs P900 per person. And it doesn't matter if you go there solo, they'll put you in a private room that's supposedly for two and you can have the room just for yourself. 128077 But for a massage at a common room (doesn't have TV) to be shared with others, the Combination massage costs P750 only. With just a price difference of P150, go for the private room. 128521

Try this spa and absolutely enjoy their rooms. :) The room is good for 2 with your own cabinets, TV, dresser, cabinet and a loveseat. My friend and I wished they allowed overnight stays so we could enjoy the room some more.

This is the definition of ambiance!

Price was also quite reasonable with 60-minute massages starting at Php900. RW members get a 10% discount.

This place is really nice. Walking through the decorated hallway, you already begin to relax. The room was very clean and modern. But I found it weird there was a TV on the wall. Who goes to a spa to watch the tube?

The massage felt great! I chose the shiatsu message and while I wouldn't call the massage relaxing, because of the deep pressure applied and various stretches, you do leave feeling refreshed with no more stiff muscles.
