I'm caught up in between of choosing Mövenpick as our place to stay. When I saw the rooms, pool, beach, interiors, it's really posh and elegant. Or, staying in a nice place for a cheaper price. *confused*
What in my mind is that, "andun na din ako, so dun na sa maganda" then my friend told me "eh diba hindi naman kayo magsstay sa hotel? Kasi magiikot ikot kayo sa Cebu?" So that made me realize that I should not go for an expensive hotel since we'll stroll around Cebu whole day!.
Luckily, I discovered Island Stay Hotel. (Mactan and Uptown). Make sure to stay in Uptown like we did, since it's only walking distance from the main like Ayala Center. While the Mactan is near the airport. Around 45 minutes from the heart of Cebu.
I'm sure you're familiar with the clothing line Island Souvenir. Yes, they have the same owner. Their room type is Small (1 pax), Medium (2 pax) Large (small group), XL (large group). Cool how they name their room to tshirt sizes!
➡The room has an energetic color vibe! White, Orange and Green combination! (i know, I haven't got the real angle of the place. better check their site if curious )
➡ Service is really friendly and polite.
➡ Comfort room is neat and clean. toiletrees were included as well.
➡ Cable TV, fast wifi *check!*
➡ Price? 1235 only! (we booked 1 month in advance that's why we had a discout!) A 5k difference to my other choice! Maybe I'll consider Mövenpick if we'll stay longer.
➡ I recommend this especially if you're like us having a Cebu-Bohol adventure and you'll basically not staying in your hotel. Value for money!
