The Sicilian chicken salad was up to expectations. The soup of the day (pumpkin) however could be much improved. It tasted predominantly of canned chicken stock and cream with faint traces of pumpkin. I was going for a light flavored pizza and opted for the margherita... Could've had stronger flavor I suppose. At least service was good.

I enjoyed my usual "me time" but I had it extra special tonight by eating like a hippo :)

Who wouldn't love italianni's bread? Since I had 2 cups of coffee earlier today , I decided just to order their pumpkin soup... I needed to pace before I dig in on a lunch plate of Seafood Cioppino
( it's a Spaghetti pasta tossed in mussels, shrimps, clams , calamari , white wine, chili flakes in house marina sauce at Php 450). To enjoy it more,I had smothered it with hot sauce, pepper and chili flakes.
It was best partnered by banana berry at Php 115.
I super love this drink so I hope that you'd try it too.

Bon Appetite!

Had dinner with my sister. We chose italianis since we haven't eaten there in a long time.
First thing I noticed how new their menu was with more pizzas and still be fairly priced. We ordered their best sellers but sadly the taste and flavor is very tame. Although very fresh but the taste needs more umph!
I'll check it out again to try their pizzas

Fried mozzarella FTW! Instead of pizza, we decided to get our cheese fix with this appetizer. Tried the beef Ragu pasta which was not as flavorful as we thought. Loved the minestrone soup!

Had our Valentine's dinner here yesterday with my son. Ordered Baked Pancetta and Four Cheese pasta not included in the menu and Quattro Staggiano pizza. Pizza was small for its price but its good its a four flavor pizza and got the penne pasta its cheesy creamy goodness with four kinds of cheese and bacon on it. Minus 1 star because i requested to serve the pasta and pizza at the same time but it wasn't. I still prefer TGIF's service128540

No matter what we order from this place, it always is good! Love their Caesar salad, fried mozzarella, Pasta Ragu and Margherita pizza. Good quality Italian food for sure.

Warning though, despite being half full, service was painfully slow. A bit disappointing if your already very hungry.

Have never been a fan of itallianis, the last time I ate here was a few years ago already. my FIL chose to have lunch here for his birthday so I got the chance to try it again. Their menu has been totally revamped with more pizza (flat, ovale, circulo) choices and mains too. Sadly the bruschetta that I liked has been edited out.
Hubby and I shared the Quattro carne pizza (495) and the shrimp penne with Gorgonzola (525). A bit pricey IMO. Service was good as with other bistro establishments. Food was just ok for me.
However and this is a big HOWEVER, we brought home some leftover vongole pasta and I even commented that they were thoughtful enough to remove the shell. But my husband got a mouthful of sand! They weren't cleaned thoroughly! Tsk tsk! If we were in the restauant if that had happened they would've heard a mouthful from me! 975797579757

Had dinner here tonight, and the food did not disappoint.

We had the Quattro Formaggio pizza, plus a regular serving of Shrimp Fra Diablo - spicy pasta with shrimp, asparagus, spinach, and feta cheese in tomato cream sauce.

The pasta was OK - the sauce was just right, a good combination of tangy and creamy. It could have used a bit more saltiness, though, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a dash of salt and parmesan cheese. However, I wished they added more shrimp to the dish, since all it had was three very small pieces.

The pizza was also good, especially since it wasn't as greasy as other pizzas.

What I particularly liked was the complementary bread basket they served as an appetizer. The bread was soft and freshly baked - all that was missing was butter!

What I didn't like too much was the service. The server assigned to our table was curt, and seemed to be in a perpetual rush, clearing our plates when we weren't even done with the meal yet.

Tried one of their new dishes, the 3 layered ricotta cheese dip. Ricotta cheese, tomatoes, pesto. It was ok. I wonder if it would've tasted better if it was served hot rather than cold. Plus in Italianni's, I don't think anything can beat the focaccia bread-balsamic vinegar-olive oil combo 128076

We also tried the Chicken Milanese which was delicious! Light, but good. Grilled chicken breasts with Gorgonzola creamed spinach topped with chilled onions and tomatoes. Yes, this dish was a winner. Too bad I didn't take a photo of it.

Had dinner with a classmate of mine who i have not seen for more than a year.
Decided to have dinner here since this is one of our favorite restaurants with quality food.
Red wine- dry, strong, perfect for the steak
New york steak- well done, tender, juicy, worth the price, a big slab of meat indeed!

Fritters- fried ricotta cheese with guacamole and tomato sauce

Baby sauid in olive oil- squid is not rubbery; has a bit if spice in it

Chicken M.- can't remember what the M stands for.... Creamy, tender chicken breasts

Bananaberry juice- not too sweet; real fruit!

New yoirk cheesecake- thank god we only ordered a slice because it is really a BIG THICK slice! The strawberry amaretto sauce is just so heaven!!! The cheesecake is so compact and creamy that it even tasted like icecream!!! Plus, they put it in the freezer so it gives you an extra feeling of as jf you are eating ice cream !!!! Shooooottt :-@128539128518

I was craving for an oil based pasta with shrimps but I couldn't find one on the menu so the waiter suggested that I order their Shrimp Aglio. He said they'll just have it mixed with spaghetti noodles. I'm so happy with his suggestion since the pasta dish turned out exactly the way I wanted128522
Quattro Carne pizza & Chicken Milanese were also great128076

Italianni's has always been a favorite. Its Italian food inspired recipes are always flavorful and fresh. Sustainability is very important in restaurants and Italianni's has been able to do that all these years that we've patronized it.

We are creatures of habit so we go to Italianni's for its Sicilian Chicken Salad, pasta vongole, Chilean sea bass and of course, my must-have pizza Margherita.

Italianni's is comfort food. Unpretentious. Friendly. And, most important, whatever one asks for or prefer not to have in the dish, they willingly oblige. No fuzz. No hassle.

I used to look forward to my family lunch at Italianni's. It was our favorite go-to place. I recently dined at their ATC branch. Food was actually good. But service was so-so. Servers are like robots.

We ordered the following:

Salmon Carpaccio - they use fresh salmon with cherry tomatoes, a spoonful of tomato salsa, capers, pesto and lemon. This is really good! The capers are just perfect for the salmon :)

Lasagna : it's not bad. But it has too much fennel.

Roasted Chicken - the chicken was very juicy on the inside. And skin was crispy. Perfectly cooked.

Here my server experience:

We were in the middle of our salmon
I was already in the middle of my meal, there were only 3 tables. It took me a minute to get the waiter's attention as he was setting up tables. I asked him for water and he acknowledged. But instead of getting me the water he went back to setting the tables. It took another 5 minutes for me to get my water as I watch him set up most of the tables.

Not even an apology for the delay.

If there's one thing I can say they do consistently is that they serve good breads :)

This pasta vongole was good today. Despite the slow service (the resto looked undermanned) due to being a late luncher, food was good.

128077 My mom and dad ordered lunch portion salads and they were still huge and tasty (siyempre nakikain ako.)

128077 My mom's crusted fish fillet was soft and easy to eat - not full of batter and not full of sauce on top.

128077 Dad's spaghetti and meatballs were, well, spaghetti and meatballs!!

128077 My spaghetti vongole was al dente and the clams were quite big today.

128077 Desserts were the budino de pane (not sure if i spelled that right) and a creme brulee. That bread pudding was not to my liking but my mom really enjoyed it with comments coming from her chomping mouth.
Lately their creme brulees have a limited amount of caramel on top plus it's not hard. Today's was the opposite. Caramel was hard, broke well and was good. The custard had a yogurt consistency and wasn't tough though. They don't make 'em anymore like they used to, and that's ok, the flavor's still intact.

On another note, I pray for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda. Didn't want to end sad, just needed to voice it out.
