My girlfriend took me here yesterday to have me try this place out since she's been here several times before now that our Korean fix
"Bi Won" is gone this is the closest place that could get to Bi Won. This place looks similar to Aladdin 24 in Aguirre as well, the pipe looking
Cooker things and the seats and tables are Korean like Bi Won with a lot of Korean people of course.
We ordered the Beef Sirloin and the Squid they had, the sides came in and it looked good as well.
I started picking on the sides and I didn't really like the fish pancake they had, tasted kinda sour but somewhat crispy which turned out to be okay, the Squid was really good as we requested it to be mildly spicy since Sandra didn't want it too hot.
The beef Sirloin was really good too, eating it without any sauce or dip since I hate Korean dips and sauces, it was tender and really a pleasure to eat. I haven't had lunch and we headed here for dinner and I got stuffed just the right way I wanted to, I didn't order rice.
The only thing to nitpick about this place is that the sides aren't free for refill but only once, no matter how much you order, you'll be limited to just one refill which is a bummer especially for Sandra since she loves eating lots of Kim chi but I'm fine since I don't like it but compared to Bi Won, they're really stingy and cheap with side refills which is a deal breaker for most.
For the last remark as well the staff here were somewhat rude indirectly, we'd smile and ask for refills just once and water and say thank you, they didn't even acknowledge us and even have this attitude as if they're not having it. I gave this place 3 stars for the food alone being good and a viable substitute for our Korean fix but still won't top our beloved Bi Won.
The price however was kinda steep but it's good anyway, the salad with vinaigrette was delicious which I also enjoyed.
If you want to eat well at a decent Korean place, Jang ga nae is always a good option and I enjoyed eating here but it isn't the same as our Bi Won. I wouldn't mind coming back here but I'd still search for Bi won first.

Wifey and I had cravings for Korean lunch and we invited out uncle to join us. I checked looloo and this restaurant ranked very high on the list. Sadly we were quite disappointed.
The restaurant was a former house converted to a make shift restaurant. Nothing wrong with that. We arrived after 1230 pm and the restaurant was half full w a couple of big tables. We ordered 2 BBQ sets the thinly sliced sirloin beef and the beef steak, fried gyoza, chapjae, and spicy pork belly.
The service was kinda long and it took a while for the appetizers to arrive. The beef came next but after that whatever food what was ready arrived.
The food was ok but nothing great. The sirloin was cheep beef and very unforgettable the spicy pork belly was good and the chapjae was excellent. Over all was not impressed with the restaurant. Maybe it was just a bad day. Cheers everyone!

After Sam Won closed down, a part of me really panicked where to go to for a nearby korean restau. Thank god I tried them again.

Jang ga nae is now my legit and new fave korean place at bf.
They've got quality meat and amazing tempura.

I can see myself dining here on late night Sunday cravings!

Still on the hunt for a Sam Won replacement 128542 passed by it the other day and the place is still closed. Anyways, read about this place on |ooloo's best Korean restos and since it's just along Aguirre, might as well give it a shot.
It's just a few meters after Sam won, right in front of central. It's literally a house that was converted into a resto. Diners were mainly Koreans which was a good sign.
We were seated right away and we studied the menu (although I already knew I wanted to get the bibimbap). Server made a few suggestions too. Ended up getting the stone pot bibimbap, an order of sirloin beef and an order of samgyeupsal.
Noticed that the wood chips they used were similar to the ones that they use at a-won. Grill heated up quickly.
They served the side dishes and I clarified if they were unlimited. As per server ate, you can only choose 2 dishes to refill once and leaves will also be refilled once. 128566
Bibimbap arrived and I mixed it right away to get all the flavors in. Sadly, not as good as the one across 128547 ate cooked the meat for us and she was also pretty nice. But the meat is just so-so, nothing great IMO.
Total bill is 1k.
Good but not great. Don't think I'll be going back. If I get a Korean craving, would rather go to Masarap kahit bodega look sya.

Maybe you can try other dishes they offer than the usual korean staples in aguirre. It's a small place with just about the same things you can order at sam won or bi won. Just for variation I guess

We tried five different kinds of meats and it was all pretty good. Unlimited side dishes and free pineapple dessert. Nothing spectacular about this Korean restaurant but it has efficient service, no-frills but clean ambiance and free hot tea! My tummy is happy.

Badly craving for some dolsot bibimbap + gochujang ( hot pepper paste) as I type this 128513 plus some tteokbokki/spicy rice cakes too. Korean food sounds so perfect with the weather we're having as of the moment.

I like Jang ga nae's bibimbap and tteokboki better than Sam Won's though, but their appetizers are kinda boring. I like the free appetizers from Sam Won better, especially the peanuts and small potatoes covered in this yummy sweet glaze sauce.

The food is authentic. Tasty and filling. And prices are reasonable. We have our favorites. But explore. That is what we did the first time. You can't go wrong.

Yehey! I finally found another korean resto that I would love to go to everytime I crave for korean food!

I love their side dishes, medyo madami! 128536 and unlimited, which all korean food I tried was unlimited except to samwoon!(i am not sure bout the name coz i love to forget it haha rude me)

Anyway, I just ordered pork belly to satisfy my craving!128513
I also tried jumoller(ice pops) and I loved it! Hehe

Just one thing I noticed, their service was not that good but that was ok bcoz they already satisfied me for their food and yummy sidings!

Will go back here whenever I crave for korean foodie again and I will try their soup and other menu food! Yippie! 128525128525128525128525

Great authentic korean foods. Very nice staff here. I love their kimchi and the spicy soup with beef and tofu (i don't know the name), but make sure to bring cologne or perfume or else you'll smell just like beef bulgogi :p

My lolo always said, to know if a place is good, check if there are a lot of locals eating inside! His wise advice has never failed me! Great tip, specially on trips!

Place looked a bit old but liked that they have a play room for the kids 128077

128077128077Ordered our favorite, Sam gyup sal!
128077128077Pajeon - good but i like Maru's, just a bit more, for being crispier but still good
128077128077Bulgogi - perfect sweetness level
128077128077soup - forgot the name
