The new store is Jang Ga Nae's dessert place right across the hallway, Jang Da Bang. This is my first try at Bingsu. I ordered a large Mango Bingsu for three people. When our order came out, I was amazed on how well presented the food was. The tiny leaf on top tells you the attention to detail. The sweetness was just right and the store had good ambiance. I would recommend though to turn on the air conditioning.

If Jang Ga Nae have a sweet little sister, she gonna be Jang Dabang. This place screams "Bingsu and Chill". Definitely the place where you want to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings. Talk about Mango Bingsu, yuuuhm!

Best galbitang I have ever tasted. Authentic that you can see the white broth from long simmering process of the cartilage and bones from beef. Grilled mackerel good too. And of course my favorite samgyupsal. Price is average, attentive servants, I don't like the pomelo juice. Taste like gin pomelo 128541 and I don't know what is the sage leaf doing on top of the whipped cream 128514. Supposedly mint or peppermint leaves that best suit for dessert! Sage leaf/herb is best to go with pan fry fishes 128514. But anyway Parking is quite hard, but worth the wait. Banchan is not good and freshly made as other Korean restaurant offer! Be very careful with kimchi, because they tend to serve old one. Mango shaved ice is ok, mix a bit of fruit cocktail and cereal with sides of red beans ok naman gawang bahay! I bet the noodles are yummy too.

I've been to different korean restaurants and I must say that Jang Ga Nae is one of the best. They will serve you different side dishes and one of my favorites was the veggies! I'm super in love with the mixture of veggies and special vinegar I think. Haha. Their main dishes were also good. When they say it's spicy, you should believe! Haha. It was also my first time to try Bingsu and it did not disappoint me. The fruits were fresh. It's very refreshing and it's paired with red sweet beans which was a good combination. That Bingsu is good for two persons. Hm. I think the crew should be more attentive on what the customers need. :) That's all!

I think we ordered everything on the menu cos I was so full after. We got two bibimbaps but we only opted to put kimchi in one. I liked the spicy one better cos the regular bibimbap doesn't have flavor at all. It just tastes like normal rice. We also ordered the kimchi pancake which was okay. We also ordered spicy grilled chicken (dal gal bi) and beef stew (gal bi jim). The chicken was okay but the beef stew was delicious. The beef stew kind of resembled our very own bulalo cos of the tenderness of the meat and how flavorful the sauce was. One of their staff did the grilling for the meats that we ordered (chicken, pork and beef). The grilled meats were served with lettuce but I tried to pair mine with rice from time to time cos the meat was good!

I just adore my Dongguk friends. (Note: Dongguk is one of the universities in Seoul, Korea where I studied for 5 months with some students from UA&P and UP.) Without them, I won't be able to spend the fun Korean "traditions" or events such as Peppero Day (11-11) which is similar to Valentine's Day and Black Day (4-14) which is celebrated by those who did not receive any chocolates during Valentine's Day and White Day (3-14--which is when the guys give the girls they like chocolates).

Happy Black Day! Well, I am not sure if I said it right as if you reword it, it'll be "Happy Single Awareness Day!" For some reason, it sounds... wrong.

Anyway, channeling the Korean in us, we thought of eating at Jang Ga Nae, a popular Korean restaurant along Escriva. We all decided to meet up at 12:30 p.m. but ended up meeting a bit later.

I was the last one to arrive and to my surprise, T, K, and D were a NOT IN BLACK. *shocked*

Oh well. We were too hungry to be bothered with the lack of color coordination and decided to order. We chose ultimate favoriteBulgogi (PHP300), Gal Bi Jim (PHP300) and Dak Gal Bi (PHP350) as to avoid us looking too addicted to beef.

First served was the side dishes. K's eyes went from (-.-) to (o.o) as one of the side dishes was her favorite peanuts with sweet sauce (it tasted like sweet soy sauce). Other side dishes were kimchi, macaroni salad, greens, and bean sprouts (one of the side dishes I finished myself without offering a single strand... oops).

The other dishes were served shortly after we finished our side dishes. First served was the bulgogi (my love).

It was served on a sizzling plate just like in Ye Dang and it has a bit of sauce. But for some reason, I enjoyed this one more. It was tastier and sweeter.

The meat was more tender too. It reminded me of the Korean restaurant I dined in before near my university in Seoul.

Next served was the Gal Bi Jim (beef rib stew) and it sure was very tender. It was also quite sweet so eating it alone might make you get tired of it easily. It somehow reminded me of our own version of kaldereta especially after seeing the potatoes.

Last served was the Dak Gal Bi (grilled chicken) and it was a tad spicy. Weird enough, despite my low tolerance to spicy food, i took two pieces. I'm not sure if it was because the plate was right in front of me (easy access) or because of my "extreme glutton-state" during lunch but I really enjoyed it even though I had to drink several cups of water to get rid of the spiciness.

Overall, I enjoyed my Jang Ga Nae experience and it definitely made Black Day an awesome day!

P.S. Friends, let's ALL wear black next time, okay? :)

Food
Still good. But not as good as before. Also, seems they've reduced portions per serving. Less complimentary appetizers too!

Service
Fair. But crews weren't attentive to our needs.

Cleanliness
Fair.

One of my fave Korean restaurants in the whole Philippines. If I want to get my Korea fix, this has been my to-go-to place.

They serve the best "Pajeon" (seafood pancake) in the metro!

Okay. I have been looking at different top ten lists of the best Korean restaurants in Manila. Ang Jang Ga Nae keeps popping up!

So I tried it last Thursday.

Lo and behold! It fucking is the best Korean restaurant!

The meet was fresh and very tender.

The Bibimbap is delicious!

Side dishes lacked the sweet and spicy anchovies that I liked, and the sweet potato. But never the less, still good.

I must say, this place had the best kimchi I have ever tried here in the Philippines.

One of the best Korean restaurants in the metro I've been so far.
Never get tired of their soft tofu stew and marinated meat.
Would definitely come back for more.

Disclaimer: this review was way overdue. Again. :))). Though i'm not a fan of veggies, i fell in love with their salad especially their dressing!! Love their banchan, especially the sweet potato. Ordered their kimchi jjige, was good but i'm but im not expecting it to be spicy(i have low tolerance for spicy dishes). I also like their japchae!! And my favorite, samkyupsal is heaven! Tried their dak gal bi, it was also delicious. I'm not fond of their beef, so gal bi. Medyo matigas eh or maybe it was just overcooked. I'll be back for sure.
