Okay, complete disclosure. This review is for the McKinley Hill branch which is now closed. But it being the same company, I might as well post it anyway.

I bought this deal in preparation for my son’s high school graduation. We would definitely be eating out after the ceremony and I wanted to treat him to a new place in Eastwood. However, the ceremony ended too late in the evening that when I called the Eastwood branch, they were already closing.

Me and a couple of office friends ended up claiming this at the McKinley Hill branch instead. The waitresses really confused me. First, they said it was only for take out. But I showed them that the coupon says for dine in only so they agreed. The voucher says “Half off on Lechon Fiesta” but technically it’s a buy one, take one deal because it also says “2 large servings, good for 8-10.” Obviously, the three of us were not able to finish even the first plate, so we asked for it to be wrapped for take out.

Now here’s the clincher, the waitresses said it can’t be taken out because it says “FOR DINE-IN ONLY.” Talk about pilosopo. So what they were trying to tell us was, we should either finish it there until our eyes spill out pork, or we leave it to them para sila naman ang may fiesta. So we were already planning of buying styro containers from the nearby 7-11. Buti na lang a few minutes later, the manager walks in and asks if we wanted it for take out. Tumawag daw kasi sila sa owner and the owner agreed that we, in fact, can take it out. Duh?! We paid for it! It’s not like free taste yan. And I paid 300 bucks for that. Damn! That’s not cheap ha.

But yeah, the Lechon Hapon is delectable. Of course we came back, it’s one of the very limited food choices we had at the office.
