I love Italian, Mexican, and American dishes but Filipino dishes are always close to my heart. It is not just because I am a Filipino but simply because Filipino food are sumptuous especially eaten with rice. Yes, I love rice over bread and or pasta.

I like going to Jay J's whenever I want something Filipino for my palate because most of their dishes are superb. It is simple yet it hits the spot.

Their food are not fancy compared to those modern Filipino fusion restaurants but the taste is straightforward. That is what's important especially when you are hungry like a horse.

My favorites are: Kare-kare, Sinigang, Sizzling Gambas, Bistek Tagalog, Batchoy, Ensaldang Mangga and Sizzling Sisig.

I just love their Sizzling Sisig because it is crispy and dry. I don't like sisig that are a bit "saucy". I want it dry and topped with sun-dried pork chunks.

People eat sisig as "pulutan" paired with a cold bottle of beer. Me? I love it with rice and lots of rice.

Another reason why I like going to Jay j's is because of the prices. The prices are just so reasonable. It does not need an arm and a leg to eat like a king err queen in my case because prices are budget-friendly.

The downside of this place, it can be crowded and very noisy especially for people who love to drink and unwind.

I'm not a fan of Filipino dishes but I have a few Filipino restaurant favorites and that includes Jay J's Inasal.

I may not order Chicken Inasal whenever I go there but their other dishes are really good like their Batchoy, Kare-kare, and Sisig.

I love their Sisig becuase it's a bit dry and very crunchy.

Ordered molo soup and lechon kawali. Molo soup was seasoned just right, and contained enough pieces good for two people. Lechon kawali was also seasoned just as well but could use a lot more salt and less fatty strips :)

We ordered for their Family sized platter composed of Ginataang Seafood, Sinigang na Salmon, Adobong Pusit, Buttered Prawns, and Pritong Pla-pla. We also tried their Sisig. Everything was superb! Great taste...great value for money...and very fast service! I highly recommend their Sisig and Adobong Pusit. They also got the best Ginataang Prawns which I usually order 128077128077128077128077

Jay-J's Inasal has delectable Filipino dishes for a reasonable price. I may not be their fan when it comes to their chicken inasal but I'm definitely their fan when it comes to Pork Sisig, Bistek Tagalog, Kare-Kare, and Sinigang na Baboy.

This particular branch is spacious when it comes to parking and dining area that's why I love going here.

So I tried what my parents ordered since I wasn't satisfied with my Big Daddy's Porterhouse (see previous review)

They ordered quite a lot at Jay-J's and one of them was the pork sisig. At first, I was hesitant to try it since it didn't look any different from all the othe sisigs I have tried before. Nothing special. But when I tasted it, I couldn't help but dig in some more! I even left some to be taken home for a midnight snack or for tomorrow's breakfast 128514 Hooray for leftovers and takeouts =)))

It tasted like the usual sisig but what I liked about it was that every bite was crunchy, crispy, juicy heaven. No kidd. Seems like they use a lot more chicharon than the usual and I like it that way. It's the sisig best for pulutan and even as an ulam 128514128077

My friends and i were looking for a place to eat that is just near our friend's condo, so we decided to eat here instead.

The food we ordered for that night were bulalo, lechon kawali, gising gising and sisig. What i can say about the soup is that the most special thing about it which is the bone marrow was empty, so honestly, i was pretty disappointed about that. :( The soup however was just okay, it didn't have corn though which was a disappointment again. The lechon kawali however was really crispy, and was served with the usually dip (Mang Tomas) , there's nothing special about it, but it's good. The gising gising is one of my favorite filipino dish, which is why i pretty was looking forward to trying it, however, i was a bit disappointed about it. As i was eating my gising gising, which in their case, they made use of kang kong stems, i saw that there's one that had roots in it. I was really disappointed and a bit disgusted by it. It was only a tiny one but still, as they were slicing the kang kong, they should have noticed that there's one still has roots intact to it. The taste of the gising gising was a so so. As for the sisig, my friends told me that they never had a really good sisig until that day, but for me, i've had a better sisig, so i felt that their sisig was just okay. I know i shouldn't expect much from this place, because it's not really a expensive filipino restaurant, but here is just my review and opinion about this restaurant.

I'll give it 4 stars because it's the only resto open at 12am. I took a star out because it was sort of expensive and they didn't have a lot of fruits for their shakes and their music was TOO LOUD and I love loud music. They just took it to another annoying level. EHEHEHE

We got chicken inasal, crispy dinuguan and lechong kang kong. All was great!! It seems like a great place for inuman too.
