Throwback review .. Throwback photo

I've been a customer of Jesi Mendez since elementary. It was introduced to me by a good friend. Had my hair and make up here during my elementary graduation, my best friend debut, hair and make up whenever I had gimmick with my hubby when were still bf/gf and even up to my Church wedding .

They have been a part of my life already , from short hair to long hair , they were there.

I love the max factor they are using for my make up, service was really good coz I won't coming back if it's not right.???

This summarizes the worst possible experience at a salon. It involves physical injuries, among others.

I was a loyal customer of Jesi Mendez since I was in Grade 1 until last year. In other words, I was a loyal customer for 23 years. I started going to the Galleria branch. Since this branch opened, I have been a customer here (Robinsons Metro East).

My usual hair dresser, Val, was absent. So Jun was chosen to blow dry my hair and do my eyebrows for me.

He cut me with the razor blade he used for trimming my brows. I felt the pain of the cut and asked him whether he cut me. I was doing my best not to move as he was still trimming my brows then and did not want to be further injured. He said he did not. I was sure he did as I could feel the pain. He said "wala lang". I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the mirror and saw blood. This drove my crazy. I didn't mind the accident. I just hated the fact that he tried to mislead me into believing that no such injury took place. And had I not seen the wound, he would have proceeded to put on make up on the open wound where I could have been infected.

I called their receptionist/supervisor whatever her role is (Jerry), and told her of the incident, so that she could take the necessary steps, ie, inform management etc determine the protocol in such instances. She completely ignored me. It was incredible. I could not believe the utter disregard to the injury they caused. When confronted, she had the audacity to say that she has not called management on how to handle the issue as she was still busy. Are you kidding me? I was so mad.

I really would not have minded the accident as that is exactly the nature of accidents, no one means for it to happen. I cannot accept: (1) how they tried to deceive me into thinking no such accident took place; (2) that they were going to put make up on my open wound; and (3) they completely disregarded the situation.

I tried to contact management after I made a written complaint. I was just told that the owners were abroad. Then I was asked what I wanted to happen. It was absurd really. Don't they know how to treat these situations that their employees themselves caused?

I had to get anti tetanus shots for this, as advised by the doctor. I was also late for the event I had to attend because of this incident.

Anyway, I obtained a medico legal, made a police blotter, and gathered the cottons and tissues were my blood was wiped in (they are in zip locks).

This would have been less aggravating for me had I not been a regular customer for more than 20 years.

I will never return to any Jesi Mendez branch for as long as I live.

Now I don't really have any regular salon to go to. I would welcome recommendations for great salons that know how to give real quality service! 128522

So how does this 'big change' look???

I definitely had an amazing time at Jesi Mendez.

The last short haircut I had was around 4years ago at a cheaper salon and it was traumatic, back when the apple cut was in and I had it too short and not pantay.128542

I'm glad I took the risk again but this time, to a salon that's not too cheap but not expensive. I looked for Babes who's recommended by my cousin. She was already out for the day so I asked for another senior hairstylist. It was already 15mins before their closing time so I was hesitant they might do it in a rush, but they were so accommodating. Jhonel was the one who did my new hairstyle. He was kind and gentle while cutting my hair. He made sure that what-I-want-to-happen meets what-he-thinks-will-look-good-on-me. He's not really the talkative type of stylist but he took his time and make me feel good the entire time he's cutting my hair.128135

I was looking out for well-known salons where to cut my hair and I was seeing expensive P700-1500 rates. Good thing my cousin recommended Jesi Mendez in Robinsons Galleria which isn't bad at all! Had this haircut for only P395.

I will never forget Jesi Mendez salon,when I graduated from grade 6 this is we're i had my hair and make with my Chinese friend who referred me jesi and I had the best hair and make up ever on my graduation day but on their makati branch.At galleria branch this is we're i had my hair and make up for our civil wedding anniversary last 2009 of October 2006.
