Our late lunch , the 4 of us had
2 crispy patas -their specialty. The best this side of the world!
crispy well seasoned skin and tender inside.
Sinigang prawns (not shrimp) but tiger prawn!
Ensalada - mango tomato onions salted eggs & bagoong
the only food available are these 3 dishes . but they are the best . all go together well.
a MUST TRY for trsvellers to Quezon and beyond.
pricey P500 per pax
the crispy pata is P450 a pop
the sinigang is P540 with 3 prawns
but both are worth its price.
the crispy pata is good for 2-3 people. too small for 4.
4 of us had a difficult time finishing 2 orders.
we make it a point to pass candelaria at mealtome whenever going thru there.

Probably one of the best places to Eat Crispy Pata and Sinigang na Hipon. At Jijf they have a very limited Menu. With Crispy Pata & Sinigang na Hipon their specialties. They recently added Ensalada & Liver steak. Since we dont eat liver we just ordered their Ensalada together with the Crispy Pata & Sinigang na Hipon.
Crispy Pata - Fried to perfection. Very tasty and which i consider one of the best Crispy Pata in the Country.
Sinigang na Hipon - soured to perfection. They use kamias which is a refreshing take to the usual powder enhanced sinigang
Ensalada - mangoes, itlog na maalat, onions and tomatoes. Delicious as well.
At Jijf you will feel like eating at your home. The server is still the same from our visit a few years ago.

I was in Candelaria Quezon this weekend and was able to try the crispy pata at JIJF Lutong Bahay ni Inay. I've been reading positive reviews online about their crispy pata specialty and grabbed the chance to do my own review.
Known as Lutong Bahay, this resto is located in the side streets of Candelaria - a walking distance from the highway. Albeit its distance, you cannot easily distinguish the establishment since it is an old kubo house and its signage is not appealing at all.
Looking from the outside of the house/resto, it seems that it is not operational. But upon opening the door, we were surprised to see that it is full of customers. They cannot entertain us yet since they have very limited seats and there was a reservation too. We only placed our reservations and advance order of crispy pata, and returned after 45minutes.
When we returned, the long wait was over and it really paid off. The crispy pata is worth trying! The skin is really crispy and the meat is so tender. Coupled with their soy sauce and vinegar, this is by far the best crispy pata I ever tried.
By the way, JIJF Lutong Bahay ni Nanay only serves crispy pata, sinigang na isda, sinigang na hipon and rice. Bringing of outside drinks is not allowed as they serve pepsi products also.
When visiting this place, don't expect too much. This is a typical provincial house, which tables and chairs are made of bamboo.
Returning? YES! When I got the chance to go to Quezon.
