127908BEEF-BEEF BEEF BEEF-BEEF, sabi ng tsuper ng jeep... 127908

These puns have got me wracking my brain! Anyways, was craving for some nice Japanese the other night but didn't want to spend too much (cheapskate 128518) so we decided to eat at Jipan and avail of the 30% eatigo discount for the 8:00PM slot. Haven't had a good beef dish in a while so I tried their beef gyudon bowl. Hubby being a fan of chirashi tried their chirashi bowl. Also got salmon rolls and their spicy tuna salad. Noticed though our server was a bit curt and seemed kulang sa ngiti.
Orders arrived in a bit and got lucky again with the ordering lottery 128522 my beef gyudon bowl was generously heaped with beef and glass noodles on top of steaming Japanese rice. Yum! The spicy tuna was good too but serving seems paltry for the price. Sadly, hubby's chirashi was just meh. He's been ordering this everywhere since forever but this has got to be the saddest bowl yet, same for the rolls. We've ordered rolls here before and they were good, this one was super unappealing.
So i guess we know now which things to order. Applied discount was about ₱300, so our bill came out to be around ₱900+ instead of ₱1200+.

so it's been a while since I last posted. Too hungry to take pictures hahaha! Anyways, this place was OK... nothing special... the service was ok, food was ok... got the Ebi Ten Don which was too drenched with the sauce, a bit raw, and didn't quite find their shrimp to be of good quality. It had that see through effect which im not fond of.. I like those creamy white prawns that are usually used for tempura which I didn't get here... California maki was good... lastly their set meal pork katsu... it came with a salad, rice, bitter buttered veggies, and absolutely yummy miso soup... this was my favorite from their kitchen.. it wasn't the usual miso soup you'd get. It had tempura batter and other things that make it taste sooo good... 128076 and oh if you use your BPI Amore, you get an extra 10% off. Didn't know that until the end of the meal. Got my receipt back with a discount 128513128076

Mother's Day celebration with the fam at Jipan ATC 128076128523128523128523
The food is consistently yummy!
California Maki, Gyoza, Seafood Ramen, Miso Ramen, Chasyu Ramen 128077
First time to try their Chasyu Ramen, and this one is good pala!
I've noticed that they use a bigger bowl on the ramen here compared to the Glorietta branch. I'm not complaining though heehee!!
Also, I've missed eating their Ham & Apple on Monroe Bread and it never disappoints .
Minus points coz the service is kinda slow, considering the place is not yet full, we came for early dinner at 530pm 128527128530
P.S. They have a matcha cheesecake on their cake display area, the matcha addict in me wanted to try it sana but I was so full already #busoglusog 128540
So next time nalang un 128521

The underrated hype is real. Jipan's dynamite roll is a must order. I never expected this brand, known for its fresh bread, could whip up a good serving of fusion maki.

I was at Omakase at that time with my father-in-law, who is a huge fan of Japanese cuisine. Out of all the Japanese places he has been to, he said that the most surprising of them all is Jipan's dynamite roll. A few days after, I read an article that one of Manila's best maki is Jipan's dynamite roll. In effect, I got so hyped up to try it.

Finally, today, as I jot down this review while munching down on the rolls, I can confirm that it's worth a try. What I love about this place is that no one cares about it that much compared to Ooma or Omakase.

I can just go here anytime, no long lines and order my new favorite.

After getting off work early, tried our luck at silantro but the lines were still cray at 8:30. Checked out Soban but our heart (and tummies) were stubbornly loyal to song do won so we went ahead and tried Jipan.
Been seeing Jipan for a few months now but have never really tried their food except for the bread of course.
Didn't check out |ooloo before heading in so we really had zero expectations but was pleasantly surprised at the variety of food that they offer. They had soups and salads, sushi, rice meals etc and most if not all for less than php300. Of course for these prices you've to temper your expectations yeah? But gladly, we were wrong!
We got the spicy tuna salad, spicy salmon roll, katsu curry and ebi fry. Service was good (as compared to previous reviews) and the servers were all polite and helpful.
The spicy tuna salad came first and I think it's great for php250. My ebi fry meal also came with some miso soup and salad. Hubby enjoyed his katsu curry and we hardly finished the food! The ebi fry was different/sweet maybe because they use their own breadcrumbs in the batter.
Just saw some old reviews now and I guess they've taken them into consideration as my experience was totally different.
Our bill was php1200 with 2 packs of pastries to take home. Will definitely go back for the price and quality 128077🏼

My mom and I are supposed to just have salad for dinner. On our way to the salad place, we passed by Jipan, we got intrigued and check out the menu posted outside. Asked my mom if she wants to try, and she said yes.

We had California Maki, Beef Sukiyaki (requested to split into two), Tamago Sushi, and Salmon Sashimi. The California Maki has too much rice, and slices are very big. Tastes like the usual maki. We are both disappointed with the Beef Sukiyaki. Since we always get Sukiyaki to satisfy our craving for a hot flavorful soup, we have tried a lot of versions of this dish. So we have a high expectations of a good Sukiyaki. And this one did not make it to our list. Also, the Salmon Sashimi, not the freshest you can have.

The service is also very slow, we waited for our bill for about 20 minutes. Nothing really special for this Japanese Resto. There are a lot of other Casual Jap Resto that has better service, and quality Jap food.

Nothing that we ordered was good except for that poppers. I didn't know i ordered noodles when I asked for gyudon! Seriously, that rice to beef and noodles ratio is just wrong. The fries were frozen and tasteless too. The fire roll came out last and when we tried to cancel as we were almost done, they said it was being prepared already. Sad to say but Ji Pan should stick to their breads for this branch.. Even if it had trapped flies inside the containers too128534128534128534.

I'll come back for the pork katsu curry rice and the service (staff Andrian was quick to inform us of their recommended dishes, and prompt to take and serve our orders). The tofu steak was agedashi tofu with a nice thin layer of batter while the pork gyoza had generous filling. A bit different from your Isshin or Yushoken versions though.

This has started to be our family's favorite. Jipan offers value for money dishes that are yummy. Classics include Katsu Curry, Crunchy Salmon Maki & not to mention their breads. Make sure to get a Jipan Rewards Card.

We always frequent Jipan Glorietta so we were obviously giddy when we learned that they opened a branch here in the South. I always wanted to try their New Salted Egg Croissant after seeing it featured in various must eat list! For the price of 115pesos the taste was OK but would have been at its best if it was fresh from the oven.

The croissant itself doesn't have that flaky crunch, probably after sitting in the display cabinet for quite sometime. The salted egg filling was very generous and tasted good... i love the sweet savory combination of the salted egg yolk and cream.

Service is at tip top shape. I was carrying a lot of things and they were kind enough to assist me get the bread. Will be back for their mains... to be continued.

Senior cards honored and very honest in the discount. Bought the croissant and matcha green tea bavarian doughnut. Total bill was 150pesos after discount and less VAT is was less than 100pesos! It was like having the doughnut for free!

New restaurants are sprouting in Alabang Town center, particularly in Corporate Center. Im just happy to see Jipan opened their branch here in the south area.

Me and mom dined here last week for a quick lunch. Since Omakase has terrible parking space, we decided to try Jipan. We ordered kani salad, tendon and chicken katsudon. The salad was ok, Tendon and the Katsudon fills up the tummy very fast. It was served hot and is good for sharing. The place is clean with delectable pastries displayed in their pantry.

My only concern is their service. Now I know they are under soft opening but servers need to improve on their communication with their customers.

Our drinks were served so late. They gave us our bill instead of our drinks. We are not even finished with our food when the bill came. 128531 Server was not apologetic and insisted that someone asked for our bill. 128545 They need to train their servers more!

PS: Currently, they are under cash basis transactions only.
