It’s like bread talk but they got dine in. It was my first visit and I tried their best sellers. There are two misses and one hit.

The Squid Ink Epi Bread tasted like what it is but the flavor was too light and the bread too tough. The Hokkaido Bread which was puffy was just okay. The price for its size is a plus.

What you should go here for is the Sweet Potato Bread. It’s placed in its original form and re created own on top. It has a smooth texture and lively taste. Must have!

Back in college, enjoyed their baked treats from the Megamall branch. A few months ago, was able to enjoy their lunch sets with my daughter which were value for money. Food was good enough and the sets were good pairings.
However, recently came back with the family... and although food was still "okay", nothing irks me more than bad service. Maybe the Sunday lunch crowd was too much for them! Our appetizers of kani salad and cali maki came after we were done w our mains. I actually told them to cancel it already but it still came 5 min later.. 30 min after our main orders arrived. The kani salad was sad. Give a few pieces of lettuce over an overly jap mayo doused kani. No apologies were given for the late order. When my son asked for a spoon to use for the little rice he had left for his Tonkatsu, I had to go get it myself 10 min after we repeatedly asked for it. Not coming back. Their food cannot make up for their service. No wonder they were the least full that Sunday.

L J and I had dinner in Jipan .
J had a pasta & salmon roll 128165128165128165128165ight and flavorful
L had the salmon avocado pizza' 128165128165128165128165 warning this has no pizza crust . it's fried rice shapped as a pizza topped with a layer of fresh avocado and a thin slice of salmon . the operative word being "thin" . would have been much better if the salmon slice was thicker , much thicker.
I , for some reason, ordered a tofu steak set, i guess it was the "steak" that got me, not fully realizing this was a totally vegetarian meal. Other tofu steaks i've had had a sprinkling of ground meat to make it healthy.
Tofu steak set 128165128165128165128165128165 it was a nice surprise
3 slabs of fine tofu encased in a delicate thin crust of batter. It was soft & silky inside with a nice thin crunch outside. Its dip was a perfect savory soysauce base with a nice almost meaty earthy flavor. It came with a delicious miso soup. A great side of bean sprouts & a very good bowl of chilled cole slaw. Sarap ng dressing plus rice .
There, my first truly vegetarian set & i loved it.
Pardon the pics , taken when we were almost done,
I'd be back for this tofu set, maybe the day before my annual check-up hehe.

Baaaccccon!!! 🥓 🥓 🥓 Look at that beauty. A crown of maple bacon on soft bread. Too bad we saw this after we paid for our order 128514 So sorry, can't give you a verdict.

What I did try was the okonomiyaki bread roll on the 2nd photo and it was yummy! A generous amount of bonito flakes, a little ginger, and some other topping pa, this was definitely loaded.

I also liked the sundried tomato with cheese that Kristin A got. This is half the busog factor of the okonomiyaki. So maybe choose to your liking... and hunger level.

We paid about 140 for the 2 pieces of bread. We asked for the bread to be toasted too, which made it yummier.

Noticed they had a seafood ramen for less than 300 too.

Japanese food has always been our favorite and Jipan did meet our expectations.

For our Japanese feast we had Kani Salad ( which I really liked),California Maki ( big ones),Chicken Terriyaki which came with a bowl of soup, salad and rice,Beef Terriyaki ,Pork Katsu and Beef Terriyaki in Pita Bread ( their pita bread was so soft) with Fries.Hands up to their Beef Terriyaki in Pita Bread! It has a creamy, little bit tangy taste sauce which I really enjoyed.

Do come and visit Jipan if you want to "turn into a Japanese" mode.I'm sure you will love just like we did!

Today is my lucky day! I just got my Japan visa so me and my friend wanted to celebrate it. I've already tried their ramen and maki's few months ago, well it was kinda okay nothing fancy. Since there are limited coffee shops in Estancia(i've tried them all 128523), i wanted to try something new. i saw Jipan's pastries from afar and decided to come inside and check it out. My eyes were fixed at the yummy strawberrycake on display and my friend drooled over pineapple danish, so i ordered them with cafe americano. To my surprise, the straberry cake was sooooo good! I thought it was just another ordinary strawberry cake, but Oh my! It was the best strawberry cake i've tried! It was not so sweet(just as i wanted), moist and the strawberries on top are so fresh 100841008410084️. The icing was not overly sweet, the layered chiffon cake with tiny strawberry bits literally melted in my mouth, oh it was heaven! i will definitely come for that cake again...on my cheat day 128522 / The service was good, it was fast. the place was modest and clean too.

My sister and I loved their Monroe loaf bread so we decided to try their food other than the Monroe haha.

Location. It was a simple dining area with pastry display.

Staff. All of them are attentive and very professional. They looked like a great team that really look out for each other. They’re all spontaneous.

Food.

Dynamite Roll (P395), I thought that it was expensive but when they’ve served it, maan it was gigantic! It has ebi tempura, kani, tamago, cucumber, crunchy tempura bits (which is sooooo delicious) and kewpie. I am happy with the serving of this, also it was well presented and worth the price.

Agedashi Tofu (P145), fried tofu with dashi sauce. The sauce tasted like miso soup haha. The tofu was so light and delicious. I loved it.

Tuna Melt on thick toast (P175), tuna salad spread with cabbage, carrots and cheddar cheese. Their sandwiches are served with nori French fries. It was huge. The tuna salad tastes really good and the melted cheese is heavenly!

I never imagined that I would enjoy dining in Jipan. They’re not selling good pastries but also great food. Amazing!

Jipan has always been one of my favorite Japanese restos. I never get tired of their super delicious Dynamite Roll which makes me come back everytime I crave for Japanese food. But in my many trips to this place I have never tried their desserts because I didn't want to finish off my Japanese meal with Western flavor from their array of cakes and breads.

I tried their branch at Estancia recently and because I had so much time in my hands to just sit there with friends, we decided to try their Bananas Foster Jipan Perdu for dessert, their twist on the French classic Pain Perdu. This is made from their loaf bread in thick slices, cubed and soaked in custard and fried golden served with caramelized banana sauce with scoops of vanilla ice cream on the side. It was heavenly! And their serving was big enough for 3 people to share. We enjoyed this dessert so much that we started analyzing how it was done. It is just too nice not to share with family. So we ended up buying their thickly sliced bread so we can make our own versions at home. I think I came close but of course nothing beats the original. 128540. Next time I'll try their Strawberry Jipan Perdu.

One not so nice experience there though was their slow service. We waited to be served with water and their house tea for 20mins inspite of the many follow-ups. But their waiters were courteous enough to apologize each time and that made up for their slowness.128077...forgiven...

I am finally swearing off this place for its very very poor service! My colleague and I ordered California Maki and their curry thinking it should be very quick since lunch break is limited to an hour more to the fact that we cant even stay that long because of schedule anyway thus the decision to order what I have mentioned which took as 20minutes to arrive! So okay- california maki arrives! Fattest roll ever so can you imagine how you can much per slice?! I have literally choked when I tried swallowing the first piece so after three slices since I need to eat I gave up! On a side note since my colleague wanted to eat quickly the curry he ordered he requested a pair of spoon and fork and that one took three reminders for it to be given! Even the bill and take out nag took a while to arrive. PS this place was not even crazy busy so mo excuse and I dont think they were short of staff. Thus it is completely sayonara to this place!!

We first chanced upon this restaurant by accident in Makati only a couple of months back and it has become one of our go-tos for a quick Japanese fix while I'm sure it's not a top of mind restaurant for most people.

We absolutely love their Dynamite roll and Firedragon roll. Both are massive rolls of Japanese goodness that don't scrimp on ingredients. Both very fresh and filling thanks to the generous serving. They're a bit pricey at almost P400 and P500 respectively but definitely worth it.

We've tried their Spicy Tuna Salad, Chicken Karaage, Sashimi and Tempura as well. Nothing out of this world but they got the basics done.

The gem of our usual Jipan visit would be their Kouign Amman-- whether plain, mini caramel or mini mango. A bit pricey at under P75, P50 and P75 respectively but definitely worth it. We've also tried their Monroe loaf which is like a croissant loaf-- perfect for Ham and cheese sandwiches!

Over-all: definitely worth going back to with their pleasant staff and baby-friendly environment. It gets a bit too cold at Estancia though so bring a wrap or a jacket for your bubba.

Another restaurant that uses old ingredients. Got food poisoned here. Stay away from their tuna pizza and dynamite roll. Not fresh ingredients.

I cant pass up this chance to really complain to this restaurant.

I'm amazed by the size of this coffee jelly at such an affordable price! You really get to share with 2-3 or even 4! Served with milk and syrup. It's got really strong coffee flavor that made us request for more milk!

Wanna guess the price? I just hope |ooloo doesn't have this info in the menu yet! Haha 9996

Sampled some of their bread products and they were pretty good, soft and buttery bread, they didn't scrimp on the "palaman" and the toppings 128077128536

My mom loves their Monroe bread, which she used to bring home a lot when she was working near their Makati branch...

I just saw their Estancia branch yesterday and I had to buy a loaf for my mom... It's expensive at P240+ for the big loaf, but the quality of the bread speaks for itself... It's very buttery and adding a bit more butter just makes it more luxurious!128522

Jipan's dishes were alright in terms of taste. Portions of the food was definitely for sharing like the sandwich we ordered. The somewhat unruly waiter suggested we check the flavors of the panna cota instead of sharing it. Eventually the dessert itself was unavailable. It was taxing trying to get the attention of the servers since they were just grouped together chitchatting. Refills and take outs took forever. Not a pleasant experience and the Dragon rolls rice was too thick compared to Senju's. Price of P812.73 maybe amenable for 2 persons, service just ruined its reputation.
