I had a great time exploring Jipan. This high end Japanese bakery has what it takes to present itself as a uniquely styled restaurant chain in the area. We tried some of their delectable creations. These included:

JiPan Poppers . The dish was a unique twist on potato balls filled with cream cheese, tempura and crabstick bits, and their special sauce. I like the fact that the dish was light on the taste and not too big on the size.

The Dynamite Roll, on the other hand, was composed of california maki topped with Tamago, Tempura slices, shrimp and crab bits, cucumber, and kewpie. This was the epitome of the sushi dishes they had to offer. It was truly an overload in itself.

The Spicy Tuna Salad, on the other hand, reminded me of Rice Krispies. This uniquely styled dish was composed of ground fried tuna bits complete with the breading. It came with an especially spicy sauce. I loved the dish's texture and spicy taste.

The Seafood Okonomiyaki, lastly, was a round of pancake topped with sliced cabbage, squid, and brown sauce. It had a salty and bitter taste that was complemented with wonderful dish presentation. I'm not a fan of Okonomiyaki; but I like the pancake's texture and generous topping of cabbage.

Ramen - broth was not rich like other Japanese restaurants. There was enough pork but tasted bland

Gyudon - 75% noodles and rice

Last, waitress spilled water on and INTO my bag, got a few pieces of tissue, wiped the outer part a bit and said, "ok na po?" She said sorry but didn't seem like she was sincere about it

Went for lunch at Jipan Robinson's Magnolia last weekend with the missus. I haven't had breakfast yet so I ordered the club sandwich and coffee. My wife got the chicken teriyaki which unfortunately I didn't get a pic of. We also got the beef teriyaki okonomiyaki and a crunchy tuna salad.

The clubhouse sandwich underwhelmed me. It lacked flavor and was not as packed as the one I ate at Jipan Megamall before.

The okonomiyaki was tasty but I wish we just ordered the seafood version because I didn't like the noodles that were included in the beef okonomiyaki.

The crunchy tuna was great.

I tried the chicken teriyaki my wife ordered and it was bland. Honestly, the worst chicken teriyaki we've tasted. My wife didn't finish it.

Overall, I'd go to another branch of Jipan.

Chasiu ramen is a but salty and not as good as ippudo or ajisen, stick to seafood ramen, i like their monroe bread, its like the croissant on tasty bread. A bit expensive but worth it. Their gyoza is good and gyudon not bad

I was happy to see jipan around robinson's mag place. However sad because i did not have a lunch meal here. So now, I'm having my afternoon coffee with sweets.

128204cafe latte
This is considered a big serving. I just remembered the Watering Hole because they both got the same cup and the same level of skill in making latte art (now i make sure to include latte art skill a small percentage of grading my coffee) the taste is a bit between watering hole and cafe Dominique's.

128204128525 opera cake
Perfect almond sponge cake that is drenched in coffee. The coffee was not so strong making way for the chocolate ganache taste. I prefer the ganache to be a little bit darker though. Actually i never appreciated an opera cake like this before, so now the search for the best opera cake begins. Lol.

I chose to stay alfresco because even though it's air conditioned inside, i think that it is functioning well ang init parin. Though a bit warmer, outside, the breeze today is incredibly strong. Though smell os cigarettes maybe encountered from time to time. Yeah, not much customers in here.

I'm currently in love with Jipan's Matcha milk jam. It's creamy, milky and smooth with a pronounced matcha flavor. I love spreading it on biscuits and on lazy days, I just get a spoonful and enjoy it as it is. It goes around 250 a pop, pricey but worth it. Supplies are very limited too; visited thrice in Glorietta and twice in Magnolia and they were sold out already. :(
