A surprise staycation from the hubbybear 10084128059 we've been so stressed and busy lately that a quick respite was much needed! He didn't tell me where we were going until that morning when he told me to pack an overnighter 128522
We arrived in tagaytay after lunch and that's when he told me that we would be staying at Joaquin's. I always see this place whenever we're in tags but was really surprised by how 'homey' it felt despite its location on the main road. It's right smack in between domicillo and qi wellness living.
Upon arriving, we were given welcome drinks. Iced pandan if im not mistaken and it was super refreshing.
It's what comes to mind when you hear 'bed and breakfast', country/eclectic interiors, a lot of wooden accents and pastel colors. Our room was #3 located 1 level below. Room was pretty big with a mini balcony and a stunning view of the lake. Room was already cold when we arrived, very thoughtful imo. Apparently, they had no king beds available so they pushed 2 double beds together to make 1 huge bed 128517 hubby said somebody from SG (Agoda) called him and asked him if this set up was ok. Bathroom was a good size. Our door looked like it came from a castle 128518
Good cable reception via cignal. We enjoyed the Korean channels 128513 however, weak data signal and no wifi in the rooms. This is ok I guess if you really want to 'disconnect'.
They have a deck that looks out onto the lake and it was a great place to just chill. We stayed there later that night. A downer though when you're on the deck is you can hear everything coming from domicillo (music, laughter, talking) but it dies down around at 10PM.
When we checked in we were asked what breakfast we would want the next day. I chose tawilis and tapa while hubby chose tawilis and Tocino. First breakfast service is at 7:30AM and you can choose to have it on your room or on the deck. We chose to have it brought to our room and we ate on the little balcony. Food was delicious! Tawilis wasn't too salty and the tapa was very tasty. Generous servings too.
Checked out around 11AM and again it was hassle free. The place smelled really clean (not musty as you would imagine cos of all the wood). Staff was pleasant.
Will definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to rest and relax 128077🏼

One of the best Tagaytay weekends I have had and mostly thanks to Joaquin's B&B!

Room: super clean, perfect lighting, air conditioning's fine and it's big for two people.

Bath: really quaint! Again, it's super clean. It puts the comfort in "comfort room".

Meal: very norm-y but it was served hot and on time.

Staff: very accommodating and courteous.

View: the garden rooms offer a really great and calming view of the lake

Parking: limited but it's a given since it's just a small B&B

Overall: 4/5. I'll definitely go back!

Joaquin's Bed&Breakfast
Tagaytay City

Booked via Agoda

I was looking to spend a quiet bday out of the city after a stressful work week and I found it in Joaquin's Bed&Breakfast.

We stayed there for one night only and it was worth it.

Room - very impressive. They did not use modern furnitures yet the "antique" style is kinda cute (unlike others na nagmumukhang creepy). The sheets and towels smells good like fresh from the laundry and the bed, wow, I feel like I just had a massage the next day. The aircondition works perfectly and they have a fan too.

Bathroom - cute too! It has a homey feeling. Clean and well maintain.

View - they have a very few room and they are all facing the Taal Lake. I actually wake up at 530am to enjoy my coffee while watching the sunrise.

Food - they have a restaurant for their customers but we preferred to have our breakfast in bed. The serving were huge plus there are fruits as well.

Location: Near Robinson Summit and Skyranch, near Josephines and Bag of Beans as well

Downside: Parking space - which is understandable since they have few rooms only

Service: Superb! 128077

M brought me here for my post-birthday weekend last August. I love this place. We stayed in the purple room, and it's a romantic and cozy room. Perfect for a weekend getaway. They also serve good breakfast. I had tapa and M ordered tocino. By the way, their pandan juice is my favorite! We will definitely go back!10084

A quaint bed & breakfast. We always pass by this place but never expected that the place looked good inside. We got an upper room with a veranda. Had a nice view of Taal.

I think they got spot on with the rustic feel that they wanted to achieve. Food is just okay. I saw that it (breakfast menu) tips off at 290++. But the most commendable part was the comfy bed, and it has a canopy! :) I felt like a princess. I wished it was paired with a fluffy pillow too. The room always smelled nice, its like we werent even there the night before,

Would I go back? Definitely. This place is a middle priced Tagaytay accomodation but with a high priced amenities. Taal view, comfy bed, accessibility, and mood, Joaquin's Bed & Breakfast is your pimped out home away from home. :)

We spent our anniversary here yesterday. I love Nicholas Sparks so imagine my delight when I saw pics of this place -- looking straight out of one of his books 128218128214. It's rustic, homey and impeccably clean! Let's not forget the kick-ass view! 127755128077128079127755 And despite the crazy traffic just outside on the highway coz of the holidays, this place feels secluded and private.

Don't expect hotel smells and feel -- this is like your country vacation home, with the staff feeling like they're your distant relatives you haven't seen for a long time. The food is good, also making you feel like your eating your aunt's or lola's specialty cooking.

We will definitely be back!

The view from the balcony is such a breathtaking site! We ordered the calamari squid, shrimp sinigang and some oysters. The sinigang and oysters were alright but the calamari was recommendable, and it was only 200 something for the plateful. There was also an amazing artist, Nick Rodis who drew portraits for 15 mins for 500, his style make your face on paper seem so lifelike, its an absolute work of art to hang on your bedroom wall for years. A definite must try place when your in Tagaytay

Tagaytay for the long weekend? Go try the breakfast menu at Joaquin's. Had the crispy tawilis and tapsilog. Sarap! Bonus, go have your meal outside, their veranda area has a breathtaking view of Taal Volcano.
